I think you are missing the point. Stop using Urano Metria to asses Aquarius stardress because because those are two seperate things. The only spells Lucy has in Aquarius stardress to date is Water shield and Aqua Metria.

By your comparison it would be a nuke(Starshot) vs Avalanche. A bunch of nukes are far more damaging than an avalanche, Both would cause a lot of damage but you have a higher chance of dying(Clearly not in fairy tail) than by being hit with a mud slide. It is similar to how Fairy Tail mages can tank waves of water but they can't take lasers or swords piecing them. Also a regular arrow from Sagittarius can pierce throw Metal while a huge wave from Aquarius couldn't piece through rock.

Aqua Metria is powerful but less likely to actually damage a mage where as something that has piercing power combined with explosive power is more likely to damage an opponent. It is like how Kagura can tank a huge explosion but is darn near fatally wounded by a stab.

But if Lucy can use her star dresses to cast Urano Metria, and her strongest spirit is Aquarius.....Then doesn't that just mean that she'll always be stronger in Aquarius star dress in terms of attack power?

What I'm trying to ask is whether you think star shot hits with more force than Aqua Metria. I guess a more relevant question would be who do you think starshot beat that Aqua Metria can't?

I don't think either one can truly beat anyone of value on it's own, with what we have seen so far. However as I said Starshot holds far greater power. Let's use Sherry stone monster as an example. Aqua Metra wouldn't destroy the stone but I am pretty sure Starshot would. Just like I am pretty sure Aqua Metria would be less effective against someone like Brandish or Jacob compared to Starshot.

p.S this is just based off what has been currently shown. I personally don't think we have seen the full power of either stardress. We are constantly learning new things about the stardresses abilities and the spirits abilities.

I would have loved if Lucy used a couple of Stardress mixes in her battle against Mimi especially since with the excess magic in Elentir she wouldn't really get exhausted meaning we could see more of their capabilities. Of the 45 potential 2 way spirit combinations I would have loved to see:

Gemini x Leo: Transform herself and other things into light. Allowing her to move at light speed, turn invisible and manipulate the light to create holograms and illusions.

Taurus x Cancer: Can perform similar feats to the CSK with his sword like Meteor blade and powerful slashes that are earth shattering.

Virgo x Scorpio: Create powerful Sand pits that can drag and trap opponents. Also create powerful sand tornadoes that can borrow through solid earth.

Aries x Saggiatirus: A barcode of arrow bomb explosives or to create wool bombs that can restrict the opponents movements by suffocating them in a bunch of wool.

Aquarius x Capricorn: Attack with Melee water attacks.

45 Potential 2 way Stardress Mix: Here is a list of potential combinations. Along with potential purposes and powers. This is 100% my opinion and observation of what I think the Stardress mix would look like.

1. Aries x Aquarius: Produces heavy weight wool great for restricting opponents movements and trapping them. Also has the ability to absorb water and release it for attacks.
2. Aries x Leo: Produces warm wool that can release light that can be use as offensive or a blinding attack.
3. Aries x Scorpio: Can create a tornado of wool great for blocking physical and elemental attacks.
4. Aries x Taurus: Has the ability to create a typhoon of wool and can absorb impact from physical attacks. Also posses immense physical power.
5. Aries x Capricorn: Allows the user to create fluffy wool clouds to jump and move around on. Offers great agility.
6. Aries x Sagittarius: Releases wool arrows. Not really effective offensively but could be used defensively to help out team mates by either creating cushions to absorb the impact of their falls or create a distraction.
7. Aries x Virgo: Create a comfy environment while diving through solid earth.
8. Aries x Gemini: Allow the user to transform into wool giving them the properties of wool such as stretch ability, water absorption, heat retention, impact absorption and wind resistance. Also gives the user the ability to transform the wool as they want. Transform other things into wool.
9. Aries x Cancer: Allows the user to knit wool. Not great for combat but great for creating clothes.
10. Scorpio x Leo: Can shoot lasers.
11. Scorpio x Cancer: Can create sword made of sand that can absorb moisture and dry things out.
12. Scorpio x Aquarius: Can create and manipulate a thick mud like substances.
13. Scorpio x Taurus: Can wrap arms and legs in sand and allows the user to punch at high velocity making stronger impacts. Can also create Sandstorms.
14. Scorpio x Virgo: Can create powerful quick sand pits.
15. Scorpio x Sagittarius: Can create sand arrows that can be fired at high velocity.

22. Gemini x Virgo: Can transform the ground or other solid objects into giant holes.
23. Gemini x Cancer: Can transform Cancer swords into different types of swords and give them attributes of copied powers.

40. Capricorn x Taurus: Give the user better agility and strength in h2h combat.
41. Capricorn x Aquarius: Allows the user to use a water whip to increase their agility and control of water.
42. Leo x Aquarius: Can create a huge impact of powerful regulus water. Also posses some purifying ability.
43. Leo x Taurus: Allows one to use Taurus physical strength and Leo light magic to increase their power in h2h combat. Can also manipulate lager amounts of light.
44. Taurus x Aquarius: Can create water typhoons and storms.
45. Scorpio x Capricorn: Can use sand to boost one speed.

So who do you think will be Lucy's opponent in this arc? I think most likely Kiria, as she is the weakest and most irrelevant of the Diabolus group. And Mashima is not very good with our Celestial Mage...

But if it were me writing the manga, I would like Lucy to have Brandish's help to fight Misaki. I think it would be more exciting and good for Lucy's development than facing an opponent as irrelevant as Kiria.

Yes, you're right, this fandom is really strange. I saw a majority of people who loves or likes Lucy or finds her strong but I have the impression that she is never taken seriously

Kyria totally lost her credibility when she got stomped by Laxus. Skullion & Madmole are easily stronger while hype makes look Dragon Knights OP.

She lost to Erza and Laxus without them showing anything relevant from their arsenal. She's also not an interesting character and her magic is boring.

Of all the DE, she is definitely the worst. She is constantly humiliated... It's a little sad that the best opponent Lucy can get right now is her. And we don't even know if Lucy has the capacity to beat her.

I so wanted Mashima to remember that Lucy is also the protagonist of the manga, and deserves good times.

I want to alter my Aries x Sagittarius Stardress: Wool has the properties to trap air and absorb moisture. I think it having the ability to create wool arrows that absorbs Air and water from the atmosphere and then releasing it to create strong hurricane winds would make sense. Thus I can see it being one of his more powerful forms.

Also alter Leo x Aries in which case heat of Light makes the wool combustible creating fire balls.

Yeah, but the previous post said "Lucy always fights the weakest opponents", I'm assuming "weakest" compared to the people the other "main" characters usually fight.

You then said that's incorrect. So, that's why I asked for instances when the opponents Lucy faced were stronger than the opponents Gray, Natsu, Erza faced?

If there's no example, then yes she does usually fight the weakest opponents out of the main characters.
