After this chapter, or makes me wonder if she can use Aquarius Star Dress permanently based on when she said "a little power". My understanding is when she broke the key, CSK gave her Aquarius's powers because she could not be summoned and Lucy was rewarded with them. If Aquarius is reincarnated, would that mean she could only summon the Star Dress like the rest of the keys?

But when she got Aquarius's power in chapter 385 the CSK said, "I changed Aquarius's magic into power for my old friend". (Pg. 14) Now she's saying "a little of her power is still with me. " If he converted her magic into power and she's saying there is a little of it, wouldn't that imply there is a limited amount? Or the reincarnation is affecting the Star Dress? Other Star Dresses are from summoning the spirits, but Aquarius Star Dress is from the CSK himself. I don't know if this means something or Mashima is lazy but when the key is reincarnated that would mean Aquarius's magic is with Aquarius, no? The magic went to Lucy because the key was broken/void meaning a new key would need that magic back; where else would that magic come from? If someone else makes a contact after finding the key, Lucy shouldn't be granted Aquarius's magic because that would go to the one who made a contract and would also mean two Aquarius Star Dresses.

No as I said that’s just how her Star Dress is. Only let her use a little of her spirits powers. She doesn’t have all of their powers which that’s what that quote had meant considering from how she was saying if Aquarius was there, it’s something underwater she can do that her Star Dress can’t but can make do with the little power she have. Nothing to do with it being limited as you think. I mean she needed Loke to use Lion Brilliance despite being in her Leo form. Cause if that’s the case, she wouldn’t be using it again after using up all the power in that form in defeating Jackal that rendered the tattoo disappeared. So the power is for her to have since it was granted by the CSK that she uses again later on. If it wasn’t for him, she wouldn’t be having that power at all. But since she do, it’s hers to keep and summon to use.

It's tricky because the other Star Dresses logically she couldn't use all their powers otherwise she couldn't summon them. This Star Dress is different so it's only a matter of chapters to know wheather it's a permanent Star Dress or a temporary one.

I think if you want different types of arrows it would have to be a combo between Gemini(Transformation magic/Mimic Magic) and Sagittarius(Arrows).

Given that the Stardress boost Lucy's magic I don't see it having the same drawback as Algeria which consumes a lot a magic.

I think each Stardress combination will be a mix between the spirits power she is combining.

Taurus X Scorpio: Magnify Lucy's sand manipulation ability allowing her to conjure up Sandstorms like Azir. We seen this combo in GMG.

Taurus x Cancer: A combo of Lucy's Taurus whip that was able to destroy the earth beneath her feet and Cancer sword(s). Pretty much what we seen from the CSK during the battle against Marde Geer.

Some forms I would think would posses similar traits with slight differences such as Taurus x Cancer and Virgo x Cancer would more than like both possess the ability to destroy earth with swords. The only variation I guess I could see is Taurus x Cancer would be similar look wise and power wise to the CSK with the whole sword while Virgo x Cancer could be more similar to the Sword Dragon slayer lady where Lucy cuts things with her hands.

Star Dress lets Lucy take power from her spirits. Her new star dress would let her take power from both Loke and Virgo. This may double her power, depending on how much power Leo and Virgo can provide her. It's basically:

Lucy's power + Some of Loke's power + Some of Virgo's power.

If the power that Loke and Virgo can provide her is greater than Lucy's own, then it would more than double Lucy's power. On the other hand, if it's less, then it wouldn't.

I guess the power-up will be like LFD/ISD, taking Lucy up a level. See how it goes/side effects to her magic power.

This truly give Lucy amazing way to be creative and powerup especially thinking all combos of all her 12 spirits. Is it really possible to combine them all as I thought a user can only summon 3 spirits at best?

Depending how it goes, a user might be able to summon even more than 3 Spirits,but it would take a massive reserve of magic power.
IMO, it would be kinda absurd that , Neinhart , can summon 3 of Erza's opponents, Ur , Hades, Zancrow and Keith at the same time, who are way stronger than each CS, while Celestial Mages can't summon more than 3. It's likely possible, it would just require massive mana or some kind of spell.

Hard to imagine Lucy will use all 12,because she lack 2 of them and then , there's the 13th Gate which still has no explanation.

Stardresses Im looking forward for:
Capricorn&Aries -> hope Lucy gets awesome horns
Aquarius &Scorpio -> controlling sand like water
Aquarius&Leo -> Highest Magic power
Sagittarius& Scorpio -> Sand-arrows which could dry stuff up
Taurus& Virgo -> Virgo's earth magic and Taurus's strength might be interesting to for destroying terrain

Worth noting, it might appear as Lucy only uses magic to put her star-dress on and not to maintain it. When was chained by magic sealing stone in Avatar arc, Virgo disappeared and her star dress didn't.

So far she has the same power as the spirit. So Gemini stardress should allow her to mimic the powers of others and transformation magic.

I had wanted to see what can Leo x Virgo form can do (since I didn't know how can Virgo's magic work along with Loke's) as a combination before speculating what the other forms might can do. And after seeing how amazing it is, I'm really hype to see how the other forms look and their spells are like. Mostly looking forward that I have in mind on what they might can do:

• Leo x Aquarius form- strongest form probably creating tidal waves of light
• Taurus x Leo form- destructive immense strength of light
• Sagittarius x Leo form- multiple star shot arrows composed of light exploding upon contact
• Scorpio x Virgo form- probably like Lion Maiden, conjuring multiple sand tornadoes from underground and form it into one big one
• Aquarius x Scorpio form- probably a sand or mud tsunami lol

Hard to think about how would Capricorn and Gemini's forms would work with the other spirits. Since we have no exact idea what is Capricorn's magic and what is it can Gemini's copy/transformation magic do in combination with the other spirits.

Considering ST might travel to their location, Yukino could have her magic power diminished to 0 ( like Juvia) and let Lucy borrow her keys?
It's a good solution without anything BS which hasn't been introduced until yet.

If written properly each stardress mix should have possessed a mix of each of the spirits powers incorporated in a combination: For example:

Gemini x Scorpio should posses both Gemini transformation ability and Scorpio sand ability having the ability to combine both thus allowing Lucy to transform herself into sand or transform the sand similar to how Azir did. This is if written properly and logically. Also this form should cost way less magical power than summoning both Gemini and Scorpio as stardress only uses a portion of the spirits power. Thus summoning should logically cost more as more power is being expended.

Unfortunitly with everything going on a this going bi weekly again I don't see us getting that many stardress mixes anytime soon. Especially not in this arc. This is a similar situation to the spirits combination attacks that was introduced during the GMG arc and then practically never used again. He wanted to show it could be done but he isn't going to focus a lot of time and energy into.

If Hiro took the time and energy to truly explore stardress mix I think some of the forms presented would be: (This is based on the combination of 3 dresses which no real reason she shouldn't be able to combined 3+ stardresses. We know she can summon 3 spirits at once and a Stardress mix with 3 spirits should cost way less magic than summoning 3.)

Warning: Gemini will be presented in majority of the stardresses because its power combined with other spirits present the best results.

Gemini x Scorpio x Taurus: Form resembles that of Azir power in that it allows Lucy to transform into Sand or transform sand uses a combination of Gemini transformation magic and Scorpio sand magic while allowing to create mini sand storms based of Scorpio and Taurus powers.

Leo x Virgo x Gemini: Form used as a speed type that combines Leo's light magic and Gemini transformation magic allowing Lucy to transform into light combined with Virgo;s diver magic allowing Lucy to fly through the earth and air at "Light" speed. Similar to Jellal's Meteor ability.

Cancer x Virgo x Capricorn: Posses similar abilities to Kyria. Combines Cancers cutting power with Virgo's diver allowing Lucy to slash through anything material as stronger or weaker than solid earth. Combines Cancer cutting ability with Capricorn alleged ability of human subordination allowing Lucy to cut peoples strength and even take over humans with the slashes.

Aquarius x Scorpio x Virgo: Power similar to Hot Eyes which allows her to transform the ground into waves/mud and easily munervur through them.
