That's not what I said, you should probably get some sleep after staying up so late and develope your brainiac plans.

I suggested to first pair everyone up "randomly" then see who is up for it, then discuss how to proceed. Here it started to branch off into people not wanting to trade with sus or nay-sayers or sticking to alphabetical order and take bullets for the team. At no point I was suggesting to nullify the whole thing by getting no results at all.

Following this plan doesn't sit well with me. There were mechanics with holes before, Gajeel might be overthinking.

You usually play a game to win. In this one Mafias, Masons, Lovers don't know the identities of their teammates/partners. As a Mafia/TP, if you want to exploit the mechanic this way to win quickly, you would like to be swapped with someone early like this. I said people could guess the identity of the others via chat even if they don't reveal anything but at the moment you can only trust yourself.

There are more Towns than not, a Mafia/TP who has the guarantee that someone will swap him has higher chances to become Town if everyone follows that plan. Then his victory is guaranteed. Asako's reaction is perfectly natural. It doesn't matter if Town wins if you aren't Town anymore.

I am role-fluid and will happily swap directly.

Only issue is escorts blocking the open swaps.



You are describing what i see as a sacrifice for the possible benefit of town, and I agree the player won't want to do this given team town is not a team at all.

A mafia would make the sacrifice.

I still dont see it as a "sacrifice" but ok, this goes nowhere

Summary:
- Green weapons can swap, non-green weapons can not.
- Idea is that we each swap in pairs of 2. Example: Asako(Doc) swap-targets Misha(Det), Misha swap-targets Asako. Asako is still Doc, Misha is still Det. They know they are townies both.
If Misha was Mafia Boss, Asako becomes Mafia Boss and Misha becomes Doc. We know a mafia now.
- By swapping in pairs of 2, we ensure that on Day 2 we have a lot of townies confirmed at the very least, and best case scenario we also know several mafia.
- EZ win.
- You can swap and use your active night role at same night, so use both if applicable.
- Blockers like Prostitute/Escort could interfere somewhat, but even if they do we will know a lot more.
- This will work 100% if everyone does their part. The more refuse the worse it gets for us. Please be cooperative. Uncooperatives will be lynched, provided they have no good reasons.

Because your hints don't matter in the grand scheme of things, regardless what role you have. Be it Vigilante, Det, Bulletproof, any role whatsoever, it will all be useful regardless which player it is on. Doesn't need to be me. Docs can protect non-BP people like me if they suspect I will die.

And why the list, simply because it is the most fair. Alphabetically sorted, nobody can complain about it(or should not at least).

But I will give you this Shad, if this plan collapses and too many disagree or too many don't want to swap with their person, we could swap together. Just that I know you can be sneaky and cutthroat, and could see you setting me up with a SK or something to screw me over.

Breaking the mechanic huh, tbh Im not fond of this for the exact reason I told Brandish, if Im lucky and Marm isnt scum then woo nice, but if she isnt and I become scum then ai basically lost the entire game on a stupid cointoss.

Not the idea of fun I have expected and not a "sacrifice", this is just lets make Town allegiance win by not playing, because why not.

You know, since non of us townies want to end up screwing ourselves over, I would start with the list and then make it short by colouring in the people that generally don't oppose the idea and people that do. The people from the latter I would exclude right away from the swap as it seems dangerous, or what do you think?

So we would ideally have everyone say yes or no and then pair up the yeses (and basically start lynching the no people lol).

I have to agree with gnut that the plan makes this the worst game to date, so not a fan. If most people wants to follow through then so be it but I repeat, this is not fun and not a Mafia Game anymore.

But it‘s a rather low %. A risk we can take to win. The unlucky ones end up unlucky, but most of us currently town will remain town and win. Comparatively it‘s riskier to use Cowboy role.

You can give it back the next day but there is a risk with that, risk can be avoided if we trade both ways.

(think of these 2 sentences as another role hint, if the first 2 are not clear enough).

I think it would be fine if at least everyone agreed to swap and picked their own targets. But when everything is decided like this? No. I don't like what you said about swapping with Asako too if she ends up unlucky (I know you would never do that). You didn't in the Saint Seiya game or something?

Also, following this plan and allowing a Mafia/TP to get an easy win N1 would piss me off.
