Faust picked niichan to try to "save" on the third night but he was Bulletproof so it was a waste. I think he forgot to make a choice on the second night. He would have normally found out much earlier than night 4. But I have to wonder if he thought he was saving me, or if he actually thought he was naive...because if he thought he was naive, then why would he bother trying to continue using his power?

Yes, because with the Mason strategy he was asking us to reveal our suspicions about someone else. If you were Townie and we got everyone to vote for you, his suspicions would increase, but it would have went straight to night and another likely Townie loss. Because he confirmed we were right about you being Mafia, it gave us the opportunity to knock out another Mafia. He was putting his faith in us and testing us at the same time. If we were wrong about you our strategy could have totally backfired.

But if i knew you would use your role on Niichan, i would had thought of the chances you not using your power on the day after that one, so you could had actually had lived longer.
