I‘ve been told that several people are planning to host games, so to avoid any problems like people cutting into each other‘s game signups and other things we may need a schedule of games.
For anyone who plans to host a game, you can either write in this thread for what month/day you‘re planning a game or edit it in the schedule yourself if you can.
Note that there‘s no limit to how many games can be had per month, but try not to have 2 games running at the same time.
Sign-ups!
To everyone who usually plays MG or those that don‘t want to miss signups, we‘re testing a new way to alert everyone to a new game instead of mass tags before each game.
All you have to do is go to>>this thread<<and press Watch on the top corner of the thread. I or a host will post there and notify everyone like this whenever a new game starts.
While hosting overall isn't necessarily hard, it's very easy to mess things up as we have seen plenty of times already. This naturally happens more often with newer hosts.
In order to get these new hosts familiar with how the game works behind the scenes and make it a smoother experience for everyone (no one wants a cancelled game!), we are establishing these sets of rules that follow the methods that have been used in the last 50 games:
-If it's your first time hosting, it's MANDATORY to have the help of someone that has hosted before. As long as they aren't banned, it doesn't matter if this person hosted twenty times or just once. This experienced host will be the "Main Host", while the new one assumes the role of "co-host".
-Tasks will be split in a rather equal manner so that the Main Host can keep things in check while the Co-host gets hands-on experience to learn properly.
-The Main Host has the final say when it comes to decisions (ideally, this won't need to be enforced heavily, it's mostly to avoid possible issues).
Once the game is over, the co-host can host on their own and even take the role of "experienced host" for a new host in need!
You're a cruel chibi, mr. Empu
I'll let Bia ground you for threatening the life of my kid, and as Grace saw in the last deadpad, that's not even an exaggeration '-'

It can, but I think the Lovers role needs some changing, maybe Threesome candidate as well. Changing it so that they can only win together is a good start, but I think they could still use an ability of some kind, a killing ability should probably have some drawbacks or limitations though.
Maybe adding a seduction mechanic? Like the lovers being able to seduce another player each night having a 50% chance to go Basic Instinct on him/her and kill that player. The newly recruited can remain affiliated with whoever they were before but they can only win with the lovers as long as at least one of the lovers is alive.
Just watch them start the game in a week because they got everything ready in advance
On that note, @Emperor Spriggan, @Lady pompom, @Asako, do you have a rough idea for the setup you can share? Maximum number of players, special mechanics, intention to test any new roles?

Thanks, Gry. I really like to but I have to learn for a few exams next month.
I’ll be free around August and September, though. Plus, if it’s a Detective Conan game during those months, then I‘m definitely in no matter what.
But seeing you mention the Poisoner being able to kill normally... Is that a thing? He can choose whether to poison or just kill on the same night he strikes? I thought he'd always have to poison, like the Janitor has to "clean up" or the Strongman has to hyperkill the first time he gets chosen as the hitman.
I believe it is a thing, mainly because it‘s worded exactly like Mafia Det(has the ability to...) and that role can also kill instead of using his ability. The Janitor and Strongman are worded differently, in a way that it strictly says „if he kills then he cleans up the body“ or for Strongman it explains in detail that his first kill is always his 1-shot. But if you think it shouldn‘t be like that then we can discuss that change in the other thread.
I think strongmam should be able to choose when he wants to lay the hammer down.
Not just his first kill...thats bogus.
I think a mafia would use their muscle ala strongman before calling in a contract killer ala assassin.
And assassin gets to choose when they want to kill.

Usually mafia has plenty of other members to be the killing actor so they don‘t need the Strongman to kill earlier like that in almost all cases I think.
Assassin‘s broken anyway, does what a Strongman can do but better and more often
