There were limitations to how much posts one can make in a day, no? I would not worry about it too much even if there are many players playing the game.

The limit is 100 posts per player every day phase... We went over this last time, that limit should not ever be a problem, only in extreme cases, as such it's a rather useless rule of limitation. If everyone posts 70 posts every day, or 5 people post 70 posts each = 350 posts just from 5 people in a single day, it's a pretty huge load of posts. The more players the more posts, that's just logic. There's more to talk about which inflates how many posts even "lesser posters" make.

Huh? It's a pretty significant difference between not posting much or at all, and basically replying to anything and everything that is posted. That's what most "super active" people here do wrong. It's not necessary to reply to every single post, especially not 1 post for 1 quote. Read some posts, gather some thoughts, reply to what is necessary in a bigger post is often a good strategy.

Yeah I co-hosted a few games at Narutoforums and have played in at least a dozen more. Each of those games are much larger than this one Im doing, we usually had at least 30-40 members playing when I used to. But it has been a while since I last played, 2012 actually lol. I just stopped having time until recently.

Maybe, when's the sign up deadline? I'll decide by then.

I see. I used to post there a bit but never ventured into Mafia Games there. There's a lot to get into here probably though, we "recently" added a lot of new roles. I think it'll be quite a challenge for a person new to the games on this forum, so I wish you luck ^^

Well I plan to start the game JULY 13 so deadline to sign up will be a week or so before. JULY 6 seems appropriate. Roles should be handed out the next day or two.

Why would you give the roles 5 days before the game starts? Shouldn't you do both things at the same time?

totally up to you...the deadline
but,there tends to be people who sign up late...*cough cough*...no names
so maybe 2/3 days before the game may get you more players...by that time people are sure
even the ones that certain things come up and may hinder them in being active

Yeah thats fine, I can always add more characters to the game if we need to. Like I said before, the more participants the better imo. July 6 is basically just the day Ill start handing out the roles to those already signed up.

Well I don't think it really matters when I give out the roles, I like to just be prepared beforehand.

Well, it's mostly to avoid having people revealing crap before the game even starts. And the mafias can get an advantage and plan stuff, which shouldn't happen either.

And you can't just add people once you already sent most roles, it screws the balance >_>

The mafia is gonna have an advantage anyway, they'll know each other and will be able to communicate amongst one another. And you can easily role reveal 1 hour before the game starts just as likely as 5 days before game starts. Its all a trust thing to begin with. If you're gonna cheat to begin with, no point in joining a mafia game; defeats the purpose.
