Chapter 5 should come out in a few hours (hopefully...)

Few thoughts so far:

I really like the way author redefines magic in this series. You need brawls, not brains, to be a strong mage... lol... (reminds me of Fairy Tail). The ritual system reminds me of the achievement system that's been really big these past few years in video games... except that it's actually the only way to gain more power here :P

And the sweetness between Shion and Emma strikes a pretty good balance (so far).

As for the new character, Loup (this is what I'm calling her for now), I really like her, but I'm also a bit worried whether it is too fast to throw a potential addition to the gangs in.

I don't know what's more "lol", that a "magical girl" just killed a bear with her bare hands, or that the first reaction she had when seeing the dragon is "yummy"... XD

Maybe Loup/Lu (if she joins), but I don't think on Anise. I think Anise going to be like mentor/guardian for Shion and Emma.

On a serious note, I don't really want it to turn into a harem. It'd be great if the duo becomes some kind of surrogate parent, but a 3rd wheel would just be a buzz kill and distraction, in my opinion.

Found this chapter good, but nothing really very interesting happened !

Every single week i get the idea that Magico won't be cut , cuz although it isn't anything superb it is definitely a manga with a lot of potential !

Great chapter!!!! Until now it is for me one of the best ! I still have some problems with the art, but Magico really has a lot of potential and i can't wait for the next chapter !!!!

Shion and the others are going to have very hard tasks for no on!

And i didn't thought of that, but i think that Finistela might be correct about the fact that Luu can do up to 30 combo!

It seems to be hinting that there's a lot more to Luu than she's letting on. It's been mentioned a bit else where, that it might has to do with the whispers of the villagers when Zodia and Garnett was in town.

Oh, and I'm curious as to how many people here thinks that Anise is going to turn into a human (like Yoruichi of Bleach?

Do you think Anise was already a human who was turned into a cat, or a cat who can turn into a human like in Soul Eater? I'd like it if we didn't see Anise as a human. Did the cats on Sailor Moon ever become human? I can't remember it happening but I feel like they did once.

The ritual this time is really crazy. We went from having to get a stone for their rings to having to recite an incantation for three hours without stopping while having to endure intense pain. And they have to start all over again if they mess up. The things he does for love.

Yes, Luna in Sailor Moon turned into human (form) for the first time in the movie (which the author did a manga version as well). She also did that, along with her hubby and daughter, in the final few arcs.

Thanks! That's one of those things that probably would have bugged me for a while.

The new enemies are such a classic duo. The big guy, who tends to rely on brute strength (or magic that works that way), and a shorter guy who is the real power of the two and is the one that will have to be taken down by our hero. He's also supposed to be the same rank as Shion. I expect he'll be dominating their battle for the most part but will lose in the end because he wasn't motivated by love.

I'm more for the "barely gets away in time" scenario

As the first "strong" foe they faced, and possibly the long term antagonist of the story, I wouldn't want him to lose that easily/early. A draw or a close loss by Shion is what I'd like to see...

I'm seriously liking this one. While the powerful protagonist right off the bat thing isn't new (a few series currently running have them, too), I'm liking the romance. As stated, we could use a good romance in Jump...not that Bakuman doesn't have it's tiny, tiny minuscule moments of romance or anything...

Really good chapter. I loved the heel face turn that Zodia did when he was sympathizing with Luu. Now that's what I call manipulation!
