First of all, I RARELY speak about Laxus so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
Who said anything about Mirajane being on Laxus’ power level? I’ve never once claimed that nor her being on Ezra’s. You’re pulling out random statements for some reason. Mirajane was on par with Skullion in BSS so that’s an untrue statement.
Laxus quite literally broke out of that hypnosis with the love for his guildmates lmaoo it’s really not impressive anymore.
Kiria is carried by her one trick hax to the point that the minute her opponent gets out of it they dog walk her lmao. She’s got nothing but villain first time appearance hype.
What’s with these reddit brained Laxus fans appearing everywhere.
The reason I’m comparing Mirajane with Laxus and Erza is to set a benchmark in terms of mental resilience and abilities. It's important to note that Erza, although she also loves her guild (just like Laxus), only freed herself from Kyria’s magic thanks to her artificial eye. This shows that even stronger mages than Mirajane, like Erza, needed something more than willpower to overcome Kyria’s hypnosis.
Saying that Mirajane was “on par” with Skullion is an exaggeration. In fact, Mirajane struggled a lot with him, which reinforces my point: if she couldn’t clearly defeat Skullion, she doesn’t stand much of a chance against Kyria, who has proven to be more dangerous in combat, especially with her hypnosis and mental manipulation abilities.
My mention of Laxus was to clarify why he didn’t fall under Kyria’s hypnosis in their first fight: it wasn’t because he saw himself as weak, but because he was already under Faris’ hypnosis. In the Dogra arc, when there was no longer that interference, Laxus was completely vulnerable and fell under Kyria’s magic, showing that Kyria does, in fact, have a formidable technique. And while Laxus did break free from the hypnosis thanks to his willpower and love for his guild, this doesn’t take away from Kyria’s ability; it’s rather a testament to Laxus' character.
Going back to Mirajane, the fact that she struggled with Skullion suggests she’s not in a position to face Kyria. Kyria’s ability to manipulate the mind is something that Mirajane, given her emotional nature, likely wouldn’t handle easily. Additionally, describing Kyria as a one-trick character underestimates her role. Kyria isn’t just effective with hypnosis; she’s also proven to be a fierce and strategic fighter. Even if someone could break her mind control, it doesn’t mean defeating her would be easy.
