As for me i'm not surprised that demons other than Meliodas can deactivate their demons powers, after all Estarossa did it two times ! Once when fought Escanor : http://mangafox.me/manga/nanatsu_no_taizai/v23/c185/11.html In the two first panels his eyes are clearly not black and his forehead demon mark is absent in contrast with the third panel when he reactivates his demon mode to heal his wounds ! Yep, pretty much the entire thing is about the movie called Dunkirk. It sounds a bit like it's a making-of. To sum it up, Nolan wanted to have the viewers experience the movie rather than just watch it, and feel a sense of tension. The end is different though, Nolan was asked what moment he enjoyed in the film making.

So, the official French version of Volume 23 is out. I wanted to see how long the farmer said was left until noon. It turns out that it was over one hour.
Just glad they translated 半刻 correctly.

Question: If I got it right the explanation for escanor's condition after his fight with meliodas was that due to him never using his full power when he did it hurt him. Basically the stress thing. The chapter's explanation was rather unclear though. Anyways, I am wondering if perhaps that means that from this point onward even the one will become stronger in the future. If the issue was the stress of using power he wasn't use to using then of course getting used to that stress would be beneficial for escanor and thus allow him to use even more power. Perhaps even at earlier points in the day... WIthout reaching the one of course. Thoughts?

Basically it's saying that Escanor is strained because he used "far too much power" after not doing so for "several long years." So yeah you're right. I guess it's Nakaba's way of nerfing him so that he can't spam the noon form in every fight. Plus it was kinda hinted at in the Estarossa fight when it was shown that sunshine has some odd side effects after he exerts himself. Only problem is I don't think The One will get any stronger because the databooks say that Escanor tries to avoid being out in the day most of the time/ the magic glasses. Plus if he were to train in that form he'd probably destroy anything within a few miles radius at my guess.

I don't think he'll have to improve his peak power, but he probably would have to gain more control of his power in the hours before noon now that you mention it. I guess it just depends on how much power Zeldris was boosted by and what his power level is with the advanced demon mark.

Oh wow, I completely misunderstood that one lol
I thought they meant Escanor used too much of his stored power or something and that THAT would nerf him for the upcoming stuff. Was hoping for the power creep to slow down with our three broken mains taking a massive hit to their powers but I guess having Escanor face Meliodas tier opponents without being able to fall back to The One is good enough..
