Well.... there are 2 reasons: one is a fanfiction theory. (but very HIGHLY plausible) the other I will explain a bit further.

The first reason is a fanfiction theory I believe to be VERY plausible; Minato had time-traveled to the future from his present using an advanced Hiraishin he invented by accident. Thanks to his time-traveling, he found out what he did and what will happen several years ahead of his time. Then, using that information/knowledge, he prepared several things for the Kyuubi attack. And he also found about Madara as well. This was after he traveled to a time-line where the Ninja war had ended.

Minato (according to the story) had wanted to do something to help Naruto. Therefore, he traveled to different points in the future to get more details about the events that would happen. When he arrived during the Kyuudaime's rule, he found the big Jackpot he was looking for. He found out (or may have just gotten a general idea) about him sealing himself and Kushina inside Naruto. Not only that, he also found about Madara attacking Konoha by ripping Kyuubi out of Kushina and about him waging the 4th Shinobi War. Therefore, he provided countermeasures for the events that were about to transpire.

Think about it, how could've Minato known that Naruto would go so far as 8TK?? not only that, if he chose to appear at 4TK, it wouldn't have been right. Why?? Because it wasn't the point where he needed his father's help to get through his Emo state. That was merely because of pure rage. When he turned to 8TK, he wasn't filled with rage, he was also filled with doubt and so much pain unlike he's felt before. Minato chose the 8TK state because it was the right moment for him to enter. Not only that, how COULD he have known Naruto would later on try to control Kyuubi. Konoha obviously didn't have the training facility that Kumo had. Which means, there's a high chance Naruto would fail. If you ask me, it's as if Minato knew KB would become one of his masters and teach him about Bijuu control. What's even more crazy; the Rasengan.

It may have been a bit of a coincidence, but if I think about it, Bijuu Rasengan may have been something Minato intended not only for Kushina, but also for Naruto. Proof; RM. How could he have managed to get the idea for making a Bijuu Rasengan for Jinchuurikis?? In fact, Rikudou Mode seems to be the requirement for Bijuu Rasengan. And I don't think Kushina's Bjuu mode was RM at all.

Next is Minato's actions during that night. Minato concluded that the masked man is Madara. Just how did he come to a conclusion like that?? it could've been anyone really. Minato asked the masked man's identity but I think it was merely to get a reaction out of him and try to read his body if he's lying or not. The reason is simple. He already knew he was Madara but he was merely trying to confirm it that night.

Next is him sacrificing himself when Kushina told him to live instead. This is what really tipped me off to make me believe in the theory. Minato is a smart man, he knows that messing the time-line so drastically would be wrong, it's the same as playing god. But Minato is definitely someone who doesn't intend to do so. He merely wants to try to find a way to alter the timeline while not creating such a huge impact on it. I think, if I had to describe it, Minato wanted his "impact" to be nothing more than a drop of water falling to the ground. That's what I think he planned to do. Minato believed that changing the time-line so drastically would be wrong. It would create a parallel universe. So, Minato decided to tweak the timeline a bit, without having major changes occur. In short, what I'm trying to say is that Minato already knew that his alternate self had already sealed Kyuubi in Naruto. And he couldn't change it because it would be very wrong. Therefore, Minato decided to use Shiki Fuujin because it had to happen that way. Otherwise, his plan could be ruined.

What plan, you may ask?? This:

There's been the rumor going around that RM will release the ET zombies from Kabuto. It's because of Naruto's Yang energy that's leaking out from RM.

I think it's partly true, though. It won't release the ET zombies but it will release Minato from ET. I think Minato may have designed that RM is to react to Minato's chakra so that it can resurrect him. Hell, he may have even planned for it to react to Kushina's chakra as well.

Minato wants to be resurrected at a time where it won't cause a lot of commotion. Well, this is it.

According to the theory, Minato intends to be resurrected at a time where his return won't cause a commotion.

You may ask: if Minato could time-travel, why didn't he go back in time to kill Madara?? the answer is: he can't. He'd create a parallel universe. Who knows what would happen???

The best plan that Minato can do in that circumstance is to literally do exactly as he did. Set small little things that don't change the main time line too drastically, but do affect and help Naruto as he grows, and ensure that when the time's right he and possibly Kushina can return.

Now next is the non-fanfiction theory. Minato sealed Kyuubi in Naruto for the reasons he's stated in the manga, he wanted to prevent a war so he had to turn his son into a Jinchuuriki. Plus, he knew it would be needed to fight Madara. Minato had to use Shiki Fuujin because you'd need a number of people to balance the Bijuu's chakra in order to seal it. I'd say a normal Bijuu sealing would need a lot of preparation time. The fastest way to seal something on the scale of a Bijuu is to call on the Shinigami.

About Naruto, this quote helps explain what Naruto is trying to do:

Jiraiya argued while they fought, knowing he'd not change Orochimaru's mind, just trying to get him to understand his mindset and why he thought his was better.
This is what Naruto is trying to do. He's trying to get Sasuke see the error of his ways, but after that, he could really care less about what happens to Sasuke after that. He knows Sasuke's sins are already that heavy, that there's no way to weasel him out of his punishment. So he is actually accepting that fact. Too bad the only one who can see what Naruto's trying to do is Jiraiya and he's gone now. Although Bee and Shikamaru might be able to.

Well, that's it for my thoughts. Boy, that was the longest post I've ever made.:p

I know we are all entitled to our own opinions. But I have to disagree with this points.
True, I shed a tear for Jiraiya's dead, but how is Konan's dead dramatic?
Logically, or so if I recall, I thought that one of them, Minato or Kushina didn't have to die but went ahead and got themself killed, if I'm wrong then my point is useless but if I'm right, I really hope someone can enlighten me.
Is that really how A parent should be, getting him/her killed when she/he didn't need to, one of them didn't need to die, and leave naruto alone in this world? If that's the case, how is that dramatic? Isn't it more frustrating? I want to know if I'm on the right track here.

I do have a problem with sasuke and naruto. Please remember, the story revolves around Ninjas, and if you google ninjas plus what the entire world thinks about them. It's hardly about friendship.
There's so many things in the Naruto world that contradicts the word "Ninja" that I don't even know where or when to begin with.
True. Naruto and Sasuke friendship is so deep but IMO, he should think more about the village, there is no way they'll accept a villain like him with open arms and for the first half of Part 2, he was chasing him without any basis and without considering the consequences of his actions or about the future. When asked about it, he fainted with some kind of chest pain.
Is that good writing? But I'm glad Kishi saved it with the second half of the kage summit arc, the part with the fists.
Only from then did he developed naruto from whinny about sasuke into someone that actually thinks about the future.
i'll try to explain why i thought that what minato and kushina did was right. IIRC kushina was going to die since the kyuubi was extracted from her. since she had the uzumaki blood she survived for a while after the extraction.

if the kyuubi would have been sealed with her again the kyuubi would have died temporarily and then would have manifested himself somewhere else which would have been easy pickings for madara.

jiraya had told the sage's prediction to minato. minato assumed madara to be the harbinger of destruction and his son to fight against him. so he decided to give the kyuubi to naruto. also this way gave kushina a chance to meet up with naruto in his mind. also by this kyuubi remained with konoha which proved advantages to them.

taking all these points into consideration i think the decision was right.

2)about konan's death being dramatic, well all i can say is that it is a matter of personal taste. personally i did not find it that moving but still i appreciated the fact that kishi provided a solid conclusion for the story of the three orphans and jiraya.

3)the last point about this being a story of ninjas.

i agree that traditionally ninjas were masters of subterfuge and sneaking and basically being emotionless assassins. but kishi made is clear in wave country arc where naruto made his flashy entrance that his interpretation of shinobi and ninja is going to be quite different from what we have read in real life.
from the start kishi's focus has been bonds and while i agree his has wavered a bit in the story telling process in part 2 overall i think kishi has stuck well to what he established initially and thats what is important to me personally.

Honnestly Naruto may be good with drama but One piece is on a different league. I didn't find this part with Minato and Kushina particularly impressive. Almost annoying if we compare to any of One Piece flashbacks. I must admit I didn't like that much the last scenes ( Ace death and Luffy flashback )
I can reread Merry death and always feel the same emotion than at the beginning

I like most of the recent flashbacks in naruto. Loved the one of konan(it was about such a simple day to day life), liked the one of kisame(a soldier who developed psychological problem), haku-zabuza-kakashi(shows what exactly it means when it is said that death is how a shinobi's life is measured). And of course there was minato and kushina...romance, action, inheritance, how a man puts the interest of his village before his family...parental love and sacrifice. The most touching part was when kushina talked to naruto about the little things...its something none but a mother can do.

have to agree that merry death was really emotion, when i was reading it i almost cried , and OMG that isnt even a person lol, but oda did a great job.

But Minato and Kushina flashback you cant say that were annoying. we all wanna to know more about both of them, the reason why did minato did the thinks he did, and kishi gave to us the answer and it was epic, very good :) Seeing minato manage to beat Madara the way he did is still better than the way Pain was beaten by Naruto .

Both OP and Naruto are great. you cant say that OP is in on a different league., cuz both of them have a pretty good ammount of fans, a smiliar one.

I know that we cant compare quality based on the quantity cuz we sometimes might get suprised

for example : wrestling, lost of people sees it and for me that kinda sucks lol.

But for me that read both of them , i can clearly see that Naruto has better fights and also better plot , but OP is at the same time much funnier and also has a great history.

who is stronger :

ninjas or pirates ?

is difficult to say lol

in cases like this the only think we can say is to say the thinks that we think the other is better than the other and ect. and we can have sure if we are not parcial viewers that in the end is going to be close to a draw :)

This is not an offensive post by the way

Dude, look up, those colored sticks, do you see them ?

Ok let me explain them for ya:

- 295 people like one piece better than the other two.
- 65 people like Naruto better than the other two.
- 30 people like bleach better than the other two.

This is a micro-population that we can base theories on and generalize them afterwards.

Here is the theory: OP crushes bleach and naruto.

Generalization: OP Crushes bleach and naruto.

This is not me talking, its descreptive statistics :D

lol but explain me why Naruto is much more popular when talking about the views on the net???

why are yourself doing a comment based in such a small faction lol its ridicullous.

i like alot both but now is my time to protect Naruto cuz what i am seeing and somehow i cant undertsdant is that people who like parts on one piece like going merry death and also like the characters like luffy dont like Naruto.

Naruto is so similar to Luffy but he still manage to be more deep than luffy. he wants to bring peace, until now it beast OP that what he wants is to become a pirate king.

Luffy has exactly the same as Naruto when we are talking about friends, luffy for example in Robin situation , didnt give up, until he managed to get her back, the same apllies to Naruto , naruto during somany time never gave up on Sasuke and its not now that he will.

based on what i have sad until now What i can conclude is that Naruto is much more deeper than OP.

one think that in OP doesnt show much is the train of characters, during battles is the time we realize they are stronger.
About Naruto that we cant say , cuz even if sometimes that can partially happens we still have some alot of info of his trainning , much more than in OP.

Looking to the main villians, OMG OP is so far away from beating Naruto in this section, cuz dont see how can teach beat orochimaru , or kabuto or madara lol.

One think that in Naruto doesnt happen is that in OP i kinda think that the main villain is kinda a joke comparing to the ones of Naruto. Maybe that happens due to teach behaviour and attitudes but looking to him i cant feel the same "IMPORTANCE" that i see clearly in any of those 3 that i mentioned.

So plz give a trie to Naruto , dont say that it is bad if you havent read it PLZ.

for what i can conclude OP is a bit more childish than Naruto, but it is also awesome. people have to undertsand that in somethings OP is better in others Naruto is , but in the end you cant say that Naruto is much worse
cuz it isnt . Both universe of OP and Naruto are awesome the only difference is that Naruto plot is much more complex than OP one

Oda in OP he can do whatever he wants until now lol, what was the risk of him doing them going trought another islands and find new members to the crew ?????

oda still didnt have those important moments that can or not ruin the entire manga ( maybe only the rescue ace arc and he did that great) but you guys that say that naruto got worst and say that one piece is always great you guys are probably forgetting of arcs like skypea and also thriller bark that was so boring, you guys are only remebering the last part that as being awesome.

i read both and i enjoy both, the problem of people that dont like naruto is all due to the fact that they dont like the feelings that naruto keeps having for Sasuke.

If you were the writer what would you have done ?
Would have you done it diferent???

if kishi had made Naruto gave up on Sasuke i would be extremely dissapointed.

Naruto is not a common person, in the beggining he seemed like a kinda weird and a bit idiot but he always had him himself this feelings.

Naruto never had parents , lived is all life alone, no one liked him and he didnt even no why. he felt so sad , you should try to put yourself in the same position like naruto, a situation like this could have made him hate the all world and become a phyco but he was "saved" from that . And one of the persons that saved him was sasuke, although they never talked to each other much , Naruto also knew that he had on him a good friend and the inverse also applies , he knew that Sasuke also was sad and alone due to is clan death. And by the time that they become part of a team , they started to developed that bound and they became even more friends. even tough they always were competing with each other they liked alot of each other . but one day Sasuke saw his brother and they talked and he was defeated so easily that he started feeling that the way he was going wouldnt be enough for him to be strong and get his revenge and his feeling of hatred against is brother raised again. And orochimaru as a snake he is he took that chance to made him go to the dark side. a lot more thinks happened and naruto couldnt bring Sasuke back , sasuke was now with Orochimaru. Sasuke is controlled by darkness, the only thinks that matter to him is the destruction of his brother. later he is going to know that his brother didnt to that cuz he wanted to, he did that cuz it was orders, and is then that ultimate villain, tobi manages to control Sasuke by lying to him and using the hatred that he has against the people that made him be withouth any family. But even in situation like this the "stupid" Naruto is the only one that doesnt give up.

the most important thinks behind the way Naruto leaves as a shinobi is :

" Never go back in my word "

And the most important that he learn, and its due to this that he keeps trying to bring Sasuke back is:

"A shinobi who doesnt respect the rules is scum but a shinobi that doesnt care about their comrades is worst than scum"

And thats cuz of this that naruto is not going to give up on Sasuke.

When comparing Naruto to Sakura and even Sasuke we realize that naruto is much more dumb than them but when we are talking about moral and the way to live a life Naruto clearly beat those 2 and he knows very well what he should do and he dont even think twice like luffy.

Naruto is amazing history much more deeper than OP, its a history about someone that never gives up and managed to not go to the dark side and has he saw his friend going to there he wants to save him no matter what. is also a history of friendship but also about the evil thinks that exist like hatred.

Naruto has awesome characters, all of them very different! seeing Naruto we can laught , also we can cry ( in the beggining when i started seeing Naruto i was at least a bit suprised cuz the all zabuza and haku arc really putted me crying ) and that makes naruto magical. In the beggining it s easy , the writer can do whatever he wants , the problem comes when its time for the confrotation and he has to choose a direction and that can really change lots of thinks, Naruto is a good example of that , much people liked alot part 1 but hated part 2. but i dont get why!!!! But in my case that didnt happened , i keep enjoying it as i did when i started seeing 2 and half years ago , and it always made me excited to see the next chapter. And asking to me kishi did everything great. He couldnt do anything less cuz Naruto is not a common character , if everyone was like Naruto the civilation wouldnt be so developed as right now it is, cuz he is not much smart lol:P , but we wouldnt be fighting against each other, and half of our problems wouldnt even exist .

About OP , it is really another great manga , but about the message behind it , it is a bit worse than Naruto one. At least until now!!!.

One think that for me is very important is the message behind the stories, cuz seeing for example fights withouth any reason is just lame and stupid ........ i want to know why are they fighting , cuz it can change one think from bad to very good.

For example when Naruto fought against Pain , the moment that for me the battle turned epic was seeing the feelings that Hinata has for Naruto and the way even tough she was going to die ( she didnt stand a chance against pain) she was going to stay there cuz she loves Naruto and he was the person that inspire her to train and become better.

That for me turned that fight epic!!!!!

And the same applies for OP you think i would be seeing for example the fight between Luffy vs Lucci if the reason why luffy was fighting against lucci was not worth it??? maybe yes , maybe not , i could think that omg thats really good moves and blabla , but asked me somedays after and ask me if i would remember it and i would say that NO i dont .

The message behind all Naruto is much greater than OP, so i kinda dont get why OP is so much greater than Naruto???!!!!

is it because of the plot?????

NO, impossible Naruto plot is much better than OP one ;

Is it because that Pirates are cooler than ninjas????

No i don t think is that both pirates and ninjas are great;

Is it because OP is funnier????

One Piece is actually a bit more funny than Naruto , but i dont think thats much relevant;

So in what the hell is OP so fantastic that makes him much better than Naruto ??????

:blink i really dont know :blink

when talking about this difference in the votes i think its not due to the fact that OP is much better than Naruto that we got this results, i kinda think that its because OP is more childish and therefor is more easy to undertsdand and maybe understanding Naruto requires a bit more 30 seconds and people are not able to use that time thinking why did that happen , and why that makes actually sense despite of previous tought

Its not surprising. Outside of Japan OP is less popular than Naruto because - IMO - of art which is really in manga style <lets call it that way>, while Naruto is more popular outside of Japan because its art is less in manga style. In Japan OP wins. Quite frankly I'm not surprised about that.

While I agree that OP crushes Naruto, still Op is sad.Such a plotless thing
:-_-

Lol, Yagami, you didn't read OP did you ?

The immense plot intensity is not measurable to any other shounen ever created, even naruturds and bleachturds agree with me right now.

How oda can still control the plot despite the size of the manga is where the others failed, in other words there are no plot holes in OP.

I don't say it was annoying it's just it did not impress me. Maybe I didn't like the fact that he was able to talk to his mother for real from the start. It's hard to put into word but what I like in One Piece is that most of the story feels natural and not hair splitted. In particular the flashback are great moments that allows you to empathize with the character and I didn't have this feeling while reading Minato and Kushina one

As for the other points. Concerning the plot that many consider one piece weakness. The great adventage of the road story is that you don't have to go back. Luffy always go further. The consequence is that all character are perfectly balanced. It's natural that we forget about the old characters and we focus mainly on a few one : the crew. And I think that is one of its great force. In Naruto, when I see Sakura, I just ask myself if she will be useless again or if she will develop further. As for the fact that it has no plot, it's a bit too early for that. And that is the only big drawback I see which is that it is far too long.

Also I don't see what is deep in Naruto plot. Bring peace to the world ? That is so cliché and naive what makes it special ?

Frankly speaking we can't say that. When Naruto's begun to have the so-called "plot holes", it was after the introduction of part 2. And ppl knew that manga will end sooner or later. OP is probably still not half-way through - "part 2" just started, manga will go on for a very long time, only time will tell if there are any "plot holes" in there, imo.
btw. but I'm not denying that OP till now is perfect in plot story.

This is known fact
It doesn't matter if it is Internet popularity or popularity over sales.
France is the SECOND biggest market for Manga. Japan is obviously first.
Manga sales in France:
http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=fr&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.actualitte.com%2Factualite%2F15982-manga-bilan-annuel-naruto-acbd.htm&act=url
In the USA which is a much smaller market for Manga than France Naruto volumes usually don’t leave the New York Bestseller list for months and OP stays usually 1-2 weeks
In most European countries Naruto sells more or is close to the sale numbers of OP.
Only to be complete here are the sales for Japan for 2010:
http://community.livejournal.com/aramatheydidnt/1550758.html

The internet popularity (at least in the English speaking community) also speaks for Naruto.
On Onemanga, which was the biggest Edited Manga hosting site, there was the ranking always like this: Naruto,Bleach,OP

I know only one Chinese Edited Manga site:
http://comic.sfacg.com/

If you look at the right corner then you will see the Chapter Rankings. I THINK that those are the chapter rankings.OP611,some other Manga, Naruto 524
But I neither speak Chinese nor do I know other Chinese Edited Manga sites so who knows what is popular there.

Though I have to say that the Popularity of OP has risen quite a large amount. If you look at the forums of Mangastream the most discussed series is OP:
http://forum.mangastream.com/

I think that the popularity of Naruto in the English speaking community is still much higher but I think that OP should be second by now.

The reason that the popularity of OP has risen so much is because of the non stop promoting from OPtards and the quality of the Manga.

I found this interesting site last week:
http://precur.wordpress.com/one-piece-mmf/
The two article who are most worth of reading is for one this one:
http://karaconner.com/blog/?p=200
This second one is quite interesting because it is very well written and talks about all the reasons why someone wouldn’t want to start reading OP. I advise everone(regardless if OPtard or not) to read it:

I hope we all know that popularity isn’t equal to quality. Not in Japan and not on the Internet.
I was interested if it is only on Mangahelpers where OP beats Naruto and Bleach by a large margin so I did a quick google search(site: (name of the site) a search term)
This is what I found:
Mangastream
Mangafox
Narutoforums
Animecrazy
some site that came up by a regular google search
Onemanga
Mangashare

On all those sites OP wins by a large margin. OP readers have usually read Naruto and Bleach(either complete or a more than half) while there are more Naruto and Bleach readers who have never or only read a few chapters of OP.
The majority of the People who actually read all 3 think that OP is the higher quality Manga.

Japan:
Most entertaining Manga.(doesn't equal quality)
Which age group is reading what Manga

Frankly speaking we can't say that. When Naruto's begun to have the so-called "plot holes", it was after the introduction of part 2. And ppl knew that manga will end sooner or later. OP is probably still not half-way through - "part 2" just started, manga will go on for a very long time, only time will tell if there are any "plot holes" in there, imo.
btw. but I'm not denying that OP till now is perfect in plot story.
The probability of any plot holes occurring is near 0. The author has planned everything from the beginning. The war that occurred was already planned one year before the series begun. The author knows EXACTLY how he wants to end it and the whole story. So he can add thinks to make the story more complete like for example the supernova which were created in 3 hours but they fit in perfectly.

Regarding planning. Everyone knows that Kubo only plans from chapter to chapter and I have read one interview with Kishi(correct me if I'm wrong) where he said that he doesn't know if naruto will be the Hogake at the end of his Manga

Regarding the story discussion:
OP is more like a book series. Each book(arc) has a story of it’s own but connects with the whole story which will be done in the later books. Kinda like Harry Potter if anyone has read it. The closer to the end the more the whole story can be seen.
Naruto is more like a really long book.
I’m still of the opinion that Water7 and Skypia pretty much beat everything in terms of story what was done in Naruto Part 2(until now) which is mainly thanks to the storytelling of Oda.

So in what the hell is OP so fantastic that makes him much better than Naruto ??????
Read this thread or any other thread from the links I have provided. It was said thousands of times why OP is better than Naruto and writing 30 sites and explaining what is better in OP and what was done wrong in Naruto would take too long and I'm too lazy.
To make it short. Naruto is for me the Manga which had a lot of potential and didn't live up to that.
Recent example: The 7 swordsman. So much potential to tell interesting storylines but suprise, they are dead. It looks for me like the Mangaka is simply tiered of his story and wants to end it as fast as possible so he brings them back from the dead to be able to say:"What do you want, I showed them to you" which is better than nothing but for me as a fan it still feels like the mangaka holds a middle finger to my face.
I mean imagine Oda killing all 7 warlords or all of the Supernova without ever doing storylines with them.
I still think that Naruto is a very good Manga but for me it simply can't compete with OP

EDIT: I did a quick google search with TOP Mangaka Draw and I found this site:
http://boxanimemanga.blogspot.com/2011/01/top-10-male-mangaka-draw-cutest-girls.html
So it looks like Japanese people don't have any problem with the art style of OP and it seems they dig it.
EDIT2: I did dig a little deeper and found this:
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2010/10/17/top-10-perfectly-proportioned-anime-girls/
NOTE:Do not discuss those two polls from the links I just posted. If you want to discuss them open a new thread. BTW I do not agree with the list. I just posted those two links to proof a point because there was some kind of discussion which art style japanese like. The point is that Japanese actually like the art style of OP very much. I do too.

I am no OP fan but i am impressed with the amount of work you did, josl. As you said OP is like reading a series of books. I thought it was like reading a series of childish books. Or may be even like mainstream american comics...going on and on, with brand new 'adventures'. About the huge number of narutofan not reading all OP or reading only a few chapter...well, i can say this for myself that i lost interest after 250 chapters. That's why i don't and can't criticize about details there, unlike OP fans who basically turns each single thing that they don't like in Naruto into a plot hole or a 'bad writing'. This is not how you judge a work. You need to see how the writer works and what he is trying to do. I do not think that after all these years Oda's way of working and what he is aiming at with his work has changed at all...and while that may have been exciting and interesting to many, i do think that a writer should at least try to write one great story with a fantasyverse, rather than writing short stories with some threads connecting them together...specially when he is at it for 12 years.

I advise everone(regardless if OPtard or not) to read it:
http://karaconner.com/blog/?p=225

I hope we all know that popularity isn’t equal to quality. Not in Japan and not on the Internet.

lol i am not going to go to the links you putted and see why OP is better than Naruto lol.

Cuz i read the 2 and seriously Naruto beats OP ( if it doesnt at least they will draw) . One Piece is much more childish, until now what was so great about OP that made him much better than Naruto ???? lol i dont know !!!!!

One Piece as i already said is much more childish, it hasnt not even close the history that naruto has behind it , and that is a fact , in 200 chapters of naruto i would know much more that i know with 600 chapters of OP , and that is not me saying, its almost a fact.

oda took 10 years to get until this point, and arcs like thriller bark and skypea were very boring.

you guys say like there is no mistakes in oda history!!!!!

and you know what i say ?????

lol of course there isnt , at least not much cuz OP story is much more simple than the Naruto one so it would be kinda riddiculous that if with a story like this Oda made lots of mistakes.

really every one piece fan plz dont be partial , if you read Naruto plz compare both and what you are going to see is that what i am saying is a fact.

i love OP but i get that OP shouldnt having somany problems with if the fans like or not cuz oda still havent had those moments that can make people quit or like even more.

And about people dont like edo tensei, i think we still will have some explanation by how the hell did kabuto get all this summons.

What is better about OP????

as i already said it isnt the villains, it isnt about the main lead, cuz naruto is equal to luffy * ( deeper feelings), the message behind naruto is much bigger and it isnt a cliche as some plz say.

and if you OP fans dont understand this its kinda sad! cuz this are facts lol

@ashher and jorped:
Calling a shonen manga which caters to young children "childish" seems wrong. I mean people read shonen manga with the primary reason being entertainment and fun. Sure if you can fit deep underlying themes then well and good but i dont believe that we can use this as a yardstick to call one manga better than the other. whats do you guys think??

^ you are right. I am at fault here. Though, 'for children' must not essentially mean 'childish'.
