There is just something about the way Boston sports fans suffer that tickles my happy place like no other. I want to read another article like this one. I'd care more if we weren't winning. I don't like losing to you guys, no. But most of the hateable figures on your team are gone.

The Seabirds deserved to lose for trying to throw an inside slant pass with Lynch in the backfield sitting on his hands while the game on the line. A passing play in that situation is questionable but trying to go up the middle? With a short quarterback? For like 3 freaking yards?! Absolutely unforgivable.

A team that calls that play needs to lose.

I know Brady got the completion record, but a Super Bowl MVP with two turnovers is unheard of. Pretty stupid IMO. They didn't even win because of something he did.

I mean, I don't mean to heap on the guy, because lord knows Seahawks fans are going to be doing enough of that, but that playcall is a fireable offense. You just can't call that play in that situation; you just can't!!! That might be the worst playcall I've seen since the Raven's cut Cam Cameron loose (Steeler fans really miss that guy).

Not sure if Cameron ever made a call that bad. Not sure why Russel even listened to it. I would have just called my own play.

They were trying to force NE to use their own timeouts by milking the clock, and they could have kept doing that by running it. Made no sense at all.

Wilson's not the most experienced QB. Yes, he has a SB ring, but he listens to his OC.

Anyway, your salt about Brady winning the SB MVP even though he threw two picks is just that, salt. Brady still threw 4 TDs. Anyhow, perhaps Jules or Butler should've been the MVP, but...

Brady was not the real MVP. The real MVP was the Seabirds OC. Clearly.

He did something that literally makes no sense from any angle. I don't even understand the thought process behind even considering that play. Like even if you want to throw there, a shotgun slant to the middle of the field; are you kidding me? Emmit Smith called it the worst call in the history of Football and I'm not sure that's hyperbole.

It might literally be the worst call in the history of football, possibly including games of Madden.

Don't care who won, but the last play was so dumb. Could have given it to Lynch or something but no. Just had to pass the ball so unnecessarily. Pats got lucky.

Next year will be the Giants' year.

Even worse than a fake punt call on your own 5 yard line in Madden? Of course, because it's Madden, you could convert that for 40 yards or something. The Seahawks converted a fake FG against the Packers for a TD.

It's maybe the first superbowl that I really appreciate. I'm trying watching it for 3 years now (and it's the only game I'm watching during the whole year).For a european, it's not easy to get into it: the terminology, the rules and I won't even talk about tactics because it's still hard for me.

Now, even a complete noob like me didn't understand why the hell did Wilson make that pass. You have that bulldozer Lynch, you're almost there, you still have several attempts and the guy passes ... But the reception before that action was hilarious. How lucky was that ? Anyway, for what I can tell, the best team won. In the first two quarters, seahawks didn't exist, wilson didn't even complete a pass in the first quarter. And it's still 14-14 at the end. Then the third quarter is for the seahawks but that's about it.

About Tom Brady, obviously, due to me being a noob, he is just a name who happen to sleep with Gisele Bundchen. I know he is supposed to be a legend and that he was named MVP but he didn't impress me much and I have trouble to understand why he was named mvp. Wilson did longer passes, can run (something Brady would almost never do) and before that last atrocious call was for me better than Brady. And Wilson is still young and can still improve.

A player on the losing team is never the game's MVP. There's a good argument to be made for Edelman or Butler getting the MVP over Brady, though. No one really cares about the SB MVP award, though.

I didn't meant to give the award to Wilson

. I just stated that I wasn't impressed by Brady and compared him to the other qb on the field. If the seahawks won, the award would have gone to Lynch.

Yeah, Lynch would've been their MVP.

For what it's worth, Wilson didn't complete a pass for the majority of the first half. The Patriots also game planned differently, a lot of short passes as opposed to the Seahawks' run first and then try to hit for a big play down the field.

They are comparable. Though, in the case of fake punt on your own 5, you could at least come up with a situation where there might be place for that. Say it's the forth quarter and with 8 mins to go and your down big. At least in that situation you could argue there was no "right" decision; and that you just had to take some chances.

The odds of the Seabirds getting the ball in the endzone with Lynch in two plays was like 95% but they went with a play that's success rate in the endzone was like 15% with a 50% chance of going terribly wrong. And the reason the guy gave for calling that play was to kill the clock. Which doesn't even make sense in that situation.

That OC served the game up to the Patriots on a silver platter.
