Keep Roman for his run game schemes, fire Culley and get someone who actually understands RPO pass concepts
Nah culley doesn’t deserve a bad rap imo. Ravens historically have been terrible at developing WR. I know he’s pass game coordinator but eh I’d fire Roman before him cause Roman has proven he can’t develop a good pass game. Lamar having a historic TD % is his only saving grace but I’d get that nigga outta her quickly before culley. Plus culley getting hc interviews so I’d give him timeKeep Roman for his run game schemes, fire Culley and get someone who actually understands RPO pass concepts
They brought in Culley to cultivate the passing concepts because it's obvious that isn't Roman's focal point or strength. That alone says to me that this can't only be blamed on Roman. Culley is the assistant head coach, but there's absolutely no excuse for the the routes being ran on some of these plays. That's his job as the passing game coordinator.Nah culley doesn’t deserve a bad rap imo. Ravens historically have been terrible at developing WR. I guess you wanted Pederson gone too?Nope fire Roman his playcalling are predictable
Yes he didn’t get an OC but it looked like his next plan was to make press Taylor his OC but I’m assuming that he wanted to leave anyways cause of the relationship with wentzI guess you wanted Pederson gone too?

The front office let him do that though. The notion that you'd get rid of Pederson, the head coach of your one and only Superbowl winning season after 1 bad year... Is absolutely insane to me. It's the first time you've missed the playoffs since his first year coaching. Does no one up there remember Chip Kelley? All the years before Andy Reid? lolYes he didn’t get an OC but it looked like his next plan was to make press Taylor his OC but I’m assuming that he wanted to leave anyways cause of the relationship with wentz

Exactly and his plan failed again(also I don’t like that planremember he was supposed to comeback but that meeting they had on Monday told us his plan and the owner was down for that. If anything we wanted howie gone cause he can’t draft and then the situation we have with hurts and Wentz plus keep old players on the roster and salary cap.The front office let him do that though. Well, maybe Pederson or Wentz was an ultimatum, I have no idea. But if Lurie or Roseman really picked Wentz over him, that just seems like an insane blunder to me.

I feel the same i think we be a 7-9 team but knowing my division that might be enough to make it. And nah we ain’t gonna fire the coach on his first year. I want howie gone tho.2021 eagles feel like it’s just gonna be a wash type of year, hire a new coach, tank badly with wentz/hurts, fire new coach and GM, cut wentz, draft new QB. I didn’t understand the pederson fire after one down year
AFC gonna be crazy this year though, Trevor and Justin fields probably gonna be in an afc team with mahomes Lamar Deshaun (probably will be traded to afc team) Allen baker Herbert tua burrow already
My point is the front office didn't tell him he had to hire an OC, and they had faith in him because he's the playcaller. Coordinators on teams where the head coach calls plays are often just assistant coaches anyway. So as bad as Pederson might have been, the front office should take the L as well. And I mean yeah, you listed a bunch of reasons for the failure this year that doesn't involved Pederson's decision making. That should be enough evidence that firing him at this point and time was the wrong move.Exactly and his plan failed again(also I don’t like that planremember he was supposed to comeback but that meeting they had on Monday told us his plan and the owner was down for that. lol this isn’t the first time this happened I mean Brian billlick was fired after one bad year.
honestly u have to think as a business man Wentz is on a hefty contract cutting him or trade him isn’t a option and will leave us in a huge hole at the salary cap so we have to fix Wentz for a least this upcoming season and see if he can be back to form (I think he can I jus don’t think he become from very good to trash in one season just like that) if not then we can trade him after 2021 season.
This is pretty much what I think will happen. I mean, the O line injuries were brutal for the Ravens this year. They brought in Culley to cultivate the passing concepts because it's obvious that isn't Roman's focal point or strength. That alone says to me that this can't only be blamed on Roman. Culley is the assistant head coach, but there's absolutely no excuse for the the routes being ran on some of these plays. And even then, it's just as likely that they don't get rid of either, because let's face it... the O-line was in shambles this year. Playcalling doesn't matter if there's no one blocking.
Well sure, his statline wasn't going to get the job done, but his team did him no favors at all. The passing game design this season just wasn't there, his offensive line got him concussed. Just think how many turnovers there would have been if someone else was taking those snaps. I think there's only so much he can overcome throwing in 25mph wind against a team playing good outside contain. Roman kept going back to these designed option runs in the playoffs too at the most peculiar times too and they rarely worked. Just let Dobbins or Edwards take those carries, they were always busting off good rushes. This is pretty much what I think will happen. I mean, the O line injuries were brutal for the Ravens this year.
Not to mention there is an obvious person who deserves at least a share of the blame for the Ravens poor offensive performance in this game. He took a dreadful sack, he threw a horrible pick, and went 14/24. Which as mistakes go isn't so bad, but in this game it pretty much killed them.
Lol no Doug Peterson wasnt the playcaller in the tenure in Philadelphia till this past season it was reich and groh. They gave Doug a chance to come back with their vision but he didn’t agree with It he wanted to promote coaches in our organization that was alsoMy point is the front office didn't tell him he had to hire an OC, and they had faith in him because he's the playcaller. One bad year? No, Billick was fired for failing to make it past the divisional round even once in the 7 seasons after they won the Super Bowl. And they missed the playoffs entirely in 4 of those years. As well as his complete ineptitude in establishing a serviceable offense, outside of the seasons Jamal Lewis popped off or the one year we had McNair. From 2001-2007 our offense scored something like 3 total touchdowns in the playoffs and by the end he had lost the locker room. It's not comparable to Pederson at all IMO.
You can't fix someone who can't start or listen to his coach. All the upside in the world won't help that. I can't really blame Pederson if he wanted out if Rosen was insisting on him being played just because of a bad contract. Sometimes you just have to eat those and move on.
Why did Lurie/Rosen leave playcalling up to him if he didn't think he was capable? If he was incapable of doing the job, then you go into next season with someone else. He already gave up the position at times during the season anyways, no? I can't see that being the issue if he was open to it mid-season.Lol no Doug Peterson wasnt the playcaller in the tenure in Philadelphia till this past season it was reich and groh. problem. So they had no choice but to do that I mean lurie even said that he should deserve to be fired.
Yes he did 06 he made the playoffs next year he got fired because of his bad record. I mean Peterson benched hurts to purposely tank u didn’t think didn’t did lose the locker room base on That alone?? That was my point. in the nfl we have seen this before where a coaches fired in a similar situation.
wentz probably didn’t listen cause his playcaller was horrible I’m not saying that Wentz was a problem too by doing that but maybe u got to look at it from that side also. I doubt Wentz would do that with just any coach.
Ya that part I don’t know and I wasn’t a fan them not have an OC be4 season started and now u see what happened. No he didn’t give up the playcalling he kept saying in his press conference which let us fans to be pissed. But also Wentz play wasn’t helping either. Why did Lurie/Rosen leave playcalling up to him if he didn't think he was capable? I mean, sure this sort of thing has happened but that doesn't make it the best option. 2007 was not 3 years after a Super Bowl win, nor was it following three straight trips to the playoffs. So I don't see that as a similar situation honestly. 2006 the Ravens caught lightning in a bottle with McNair, were the #1 seed in the league and still flopped in the playoffs. It only made his firing happen a year or two later than it would have otherwise. I know about him benching Hurts, but if the rumors were true about him preferring him over Wentz, I don't see why that would have had a large effect on the locker room.
Fair enough, but I don't really see Wentz being in a position to be telling any coach what play to call.
He said it was a collaborative effort, sometimes Press Taylor did it, etc. Not that having too many cooks in the kitchen is a good solution either... well obviously wasn't since they stunk.Ya that part I don’t know and I wasn’t a fan them not have an OC be4 season started and now u see what happened. I guess my point is coaches get fired even having a couple good season and then having a one bad year after and I told u why they fired him he would have stay if they he followed lurie and Roseman vision (which imo is stupid also) no I mean the locker room was pissed about the. Benching hurts to purposely tanking instead of trying to win.
he was changing playing during the game. I mean we heard Rodgers doing the same thing with McCarthy with in his last year with the packers
