Another piece of information, nisekoi vol 1 sold between bly ray and dvd 6,446k (http://www.someanithing.com/?p=1155) making it the best seller show of the season... until hoozuki drops. Interesting tho how it was underestimated by almost 80%, it was supposed to flop hard but storefront sales were really strong in this one, I guess all that marketing (pretty cool looking) helped a lot.

Now for more insight, 6k is enough for a sequel, but we have to take in account that the first volume did come with a event ticket. Let's see if the drop isn't too bad. Also to note that the first volume is pretty much out of stock, so it will add more in the upcoming weeks.

Let's root for Nisekoi! It will be a great merchandising if it wins.

If it ends up winning the sales will rise A LOT. And the probability of a second season will also rise. But is difficult, really difficult to win. KnK and Mix are in the mix.

(Last year winner was Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso.. amazing manga.)

Yes, it would be a huge merchandising. The editors usually mention those awards for months on the first page of each chapter. XD
Well, to be among the 5 finalists is already a victory, but I hope it wins.

is there a clear end in site? does any girl have an edge at this point (if so dont tell me who!!!) ? and how much longer do you guys estimate it lasting?

and if there is a second season of the anime , about what chapter of the manga would it end up at?

what chapter has the current anime made it up to?

There is no ending in sight, but Chitoge and Raku has to be fake lovers for three years, we can conclude that the series will reach is ending after that. Since we are in the middle of the second year of school, we are approximately on the middle off the series, I was talking with TXC about this and we agreed that 25 volumes at most would be somewhat the right duration, we may be wrong though.

I have no idea on where a second season would end because the story after chapter 48/50, where first season will end probably, there isn't a clear event where the second season could end.

i got to chapter 35, its a very good manga, i like it slightly more than i like the anime

but the anime is VERY well done so i cannot say its wayyy better. but i will continue reading as i am thoroughly enjoying the manga

marika is quite the catalyst, she is just what this story needed to really push the envelope
ms chitoge is having alot harder time hiding her emotions than usual

Chapter 45 is not the best part yet.
It's very good, though, it prepares the field to the most epic moment of the story up to now.
