Re: [Josei] Nodame Cantabile by Ninomiya Tomoko
I think the mangaka is building it up to the climax (although the ultimate climax won't be till a little while longer) when the two of them finally snap. Nodame realizes her really path to take in music. The thing is, before getting there, she'll attempt to do many things to find her niche- will it be playing as a celebrated soloist, or as a member of some trio, or a kindergarten teacher? and she'll also shut herself from a lot of external factors, chiaki being one of them.
at the same time chiaki has to face many things. along with his facing music head on like stresseman tells him, he has to face love like that as well. but the agony will be that when he tries to do just that, it's Nodame who rejects him to focus on music.
my prediction on the conclusion is that they finally realize that love and music should really go together, and not as separate things that they have to compromise.
