No way. Luffy is the future pirate-king, but starting a pirate rebellion? No way.

If there is a worldwide pirate rebellion, the last 500 chapters of building the marines up to be the dominant force to beat would be for naught as then Luffy's opponent's will be reduced to two categories:
1) Other wannabe-pirate kings.
2) Revenge-seeking Marines.

That said, I totally forgot about Crocodile and the other Supernova's. Given both of those things, I do hope Luffy makes it to Impel Down.

I will tell my thought about the things that are going to happen after the Ace operation.

When Whitebeard shoudl fall. The strongest Pirate crew falls. What would mean that there is a disturbens in power. It would go to the side of the WG/Marines.
Blackbeard would probably join the Yonkou.. but would betray even them. Making him an enemy.
Flamingo sees this as an oppertunity to make the new era people are talking about. True. Only not knowing that the Marines take this oppertunity to make the World to Absolute Justice.

Most of the pirates would be captured and excecuted.
Only the Super Nova's to survive. *And ex Yonkou*
What would make the New World even thougher.
The Pirate age is about to end. But Luffy will start a new one.

Something like this could happen.
And I still keep saying that in the New World.. people are going to die...

They new era is the era right now with Luffy and the Supernova. And if there was ever a talk about a new era it would be the one with the WG going down through revolution [Monkey D. Dragon] and not through the WG/Marines themself.

You also asume, that the Yonkou are like partners or allies, but they are not. Shanks and WB were able to meet because they see each other, because they are acting dignified and seems to have some past relationship. Shanks had to come by himself in order to speak to him. And while you asume that allied relationship, you mention BB to betray them. Why would they EVER work with him? He is a pirate traitor, [cowardly killing his officer and it should be fact, that every other Yonkou does know of him doing that. I don't know, but Shichibukai must be in a pretty bad "postion" to the New World pirates/Yonkou.^^

im sure someone found this earlier and posted and it's only on chapter 504 when rayleigh knocks out the guards when they first meat. Well anyway...

Haki has been seen before in a number of places, we just didn't have the correct term for it. It was seen as early as chapter 1.

The first place where someone actually named the effect was in http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/434/05/

But here it was called "vigor and drive". Would be interested if it was using the same Japanese kanji as "haki", in which case it could just be a translation thing. If it wasn't the same kanji then maybe it is known by different names in different places. (Or maybe Shanks calls it that to conceal what it actually is??)

didn't even Blackbeard use it when he met Luffy the first time in this town before they went to the sky? I think I saw someone posting a raw pic of it being the same kanji - if I'm mistaken and its not I'm sorry to have warmed up that rumour.

Well I might be steering away from the subject a little but at least it's about haki.

The earliest place I remember where someone has passed out foaming from their mouths (the sea king in chapter one just ran away) is here but do you guys think this had anything to do with haki? It's almost identical in terms of usage but it seems pretty damn early for anyone to be using it at that point. I mean it could be a very small amount but I don't know.

Also I'm pretty sure at least BB didn't use it in the translation. The first time I heard the word was when the giant in the auction house mentioned it to Rayleigh. I don't see why you would translate it to "vigor and drive" though..

The first time the word "Haki" ("覇気") is used as a proper noun in the manga definitively was the encounter between Shanks and White Beard.

I mean:

They said it take a week to go to Impel Down from Amazon Lilly...? But Ennies Lobby is much closer to Shanbondy, isn't?

What confuses me most is where Water 7 and the Florian Triangle are on that map, I don't think its the triangle with the current. And it seems like the sea train would have to go right past Impel Down

Where did you get that picture? It's wrong.

And what does the distance between SA and EL has to do with ID and MarineFord? Goint to EL would not bring them anything, as they would just have to go with the "current", but would not b able to escape it.

They would go to Impel Down with the Marine Ships (through the Calm Belt). The marine ships are pretty fast, even more compared to pirate ships because of the "modernisation" in the CB.

Water 7 must be somewhere southwest of Enies Lobby. The Mugiwaras did go back and got into the Triangle which should be west of EL.

Thanks, I got how the image is wrong. But still, that map makes it as if from Amazon Lily to Impel Down having less distance than Ennies Lobby to Shabondy Archipelago... o_o

How can it seem so? It's a simplified map, so the relations can't be taken for fact. You can't measure that picture and asume their distances from that. And Ennies Lobby could be nearer to the SA, than AL to ID, as the Muwigwara, just as as I said earlier, have traveled back from EL to W7.

If you look in the upper left hand corner, on the IV bottle you will see a familiar symbol... Doflamingo's smiley face! Either his business ventures have entered medical supplies or he is trying to infiltrate WB's ship. Maybe slowly poison him??

It's harder to tell in ch 434 but it still looks to be the same symbol on the IV bottle.

It's natural that DoFlamingo is eager to fight. This may be his greatest moment, I mean, the war of a Yonkou against 7bukai and Marine is a clear signal that the current era is crumbling. It is a chance for the "New Age" which he want so much to implement.
