One Piece Mega Convo Thread, the 2nd Chapter

I'm picturing some evil mermen taking over Merman Island, claiming it theirs after Whitebeard died.
Then Luffy's crew comes there and beats them up - Luffy gives some kind of speech that he doesn't want to rule anything and that the island belongs to everyone.

Totally agree. It is going to prove to fishman island that they need to hold their own and they cant let other pirates come in and take them over. i doubt the process will be anything like the other arcs though.

Maybe Luffy will be the one who gives the freedom to Fishman Island as Whitebeard did.

On a side note...I'm starting to grow on the idea that Coby is a D.

Damn you Buggy!!!! It he's too strong to be a SHs, his strength is equal/above that of Luffy's and I don't think there will ever be anyone who joins the crew and is stronger than Zoro.

Jinbei stronger than Luffy? That can be argued for years. Luffy has already KO'd two Shichibukai's in the past and in doing so he improved his own fighting capabilities not to mention he naturally surpassed his own strength/power during those fights as well. Jinbei was a Shichibukai until he revoked his title and I reckon at full health Luffy would give him a hard time just as Ace did. I can't argue with the fact that Jinbei has a lot more experience as a pirate compared to Luffy; which is only beneficial and could help the SH's in their future adventures.

I've had a strong feeling ever since the beginning of the Impel Down Arc that Jinbei has one of the greatest chances of joining the SH's next. I'm going to stick with it ...until it's confirmed!

What will I do after that? KANPAI!!!

My arguments are based on the fishmen island's future ... I mean now that Whitebeard's dead someone has to take care of it, and the right/best/best-qualified candidate for that job is Mr. Jimbei-kun (:P) IMO.

That's true and I could see that happening but I reckon it would be awesome if he joined the SH's instead.

I see it to be very likely that Jimbei and Luffy could end up heading to Fishman Island together. Once we figure out the end of this arc that is...
I'd love to see the SH in a chance to stand together and prove their might. Especially if it's cleaning up slavery in FI or some other unruly stuff.... But in the end their desires are beyond FI. I'd think that Jimbei would remain and sustain whatever peace was made. In that way Jimbei can continue one major part of WB's legacy IMO

At full strength it would be a tough battle, experience-wise Jimbei has the upper hand, but as we all know from past opponents experience doesn't always assure victory. Potential-wise Luffy will give him a run for his money when he gets his haki under control.

I'm thinking they will get a fishman from Fishman Island to join their crew, possibly an acquiatance of Jimbei's; maybe one of his old crewmates or someone like Fisher Tiger who they will find standing up to the enemies trying to take over the island...something like that.

No idea. Guys say it will be 4-6 months after it's theatrical release.

And once it is released in Dvd, it only need one day for a fansub come out.

Any and all Movie 10 questions can possibly be answered here, but I personally don't know about the Luffy and Nami thing.

He's kind of Aokiji, but without his feeling towards good pirates, being absolute as Akainu. Does Crocus have to come back too, because of the announcement of Ace relationship to Gol.D?

well, the government has been wanting the Roger Pirates dead. But in Crocus's case, I think it is hard to prove a connection between him and Roger because he may not have been present on his ship for too long, or at least as long as the other crew members. If the government already knew of him as being a part of the Roger Pirates, they would have taken action long ago. Of course he is still inside Laboon and comes out from time to time though.

And I do agree that Kizaru is a mix of Aokiji and Akainu

all of luffy's old allies will make a return eventually. the really big war the will happen at the end of one piece, they will come to his aid, alabasta kingdom, skypiea kingdom, thriiler bark inhabitants etc., but yes crocus will make a return, if not why make a connection to rogers and rayleigh? kizaru may be a prankster but he is a absolute killer.

the only reason he didnt take rayleigh is because it would have been 2 much trouble especially with the war with WB approaching, but make no mistake sengoku would not want rayleigh, someone who knows the true history just walking around

Oda has always used the Cover stories to hint to further plot points. Ace had a long cover story and see what that had led to. Hacchan also had one and through him Boas background story, the Sunny Pirates and the Mary Joana were introduced. I hope we will see Enel again.
