Wow.. I never thought of Jimbei being a strawhat..
I mean..
-It would add more to the variety of the crew because he is a merman.
-Once the war is over and he doesn't end up sacrificing his life, what will he do ?
-He is a traitor to the world government and will only reside as a pirate from now on
-Maybe in honour of Ace, he will help Luffy accomplish his goal of becoming Pirate King ?
-He is incredibly strong and has lots of advantages (like swimming faster, calling sea creatures for help etc.) and surely would have cool fights with enemies while being a member of Strawhat Pirates...
In my eyes... it seems very plausible now...

I think he's way too serious for luffy's nakama, and because of that, even if he was invited i dont think he'd accept

how is that gonna stop him besides we havent seen him showcasing the aspects of the commanding type other than leading a bunch of prisoners its not like the revolutionary army was holding back without him plus he has a fun loving personalty which suits the crew well concerning how , im thinking it will come by order of dragon in sense of being protective plus he admires luffy's will most members has shown that .

would never happen oda is unpredictable enough for you to make that statement to me he seems the only reasonable choice he has and idiotic behaviour , boa jimbei are way too serious guys besides having obligations toward their native home you find no contradictions when imagining iva in the crew unlike the others.

Asking such a question. How would we know, if it's not mentioned anywhere. I think it was rather a random event, that he was on the same island s the Mugiwaras, as how would he have known, that they are at Loguetown? And how would he be able to travel so fast?^^

man you re harsh , that event is far from being a considence dragon even told garp that he sent luffy off . the revolutionaries are supposed to have intelligence now how did they know that robin is on that island ?

Nope. I think he was just in East Blue at that time and he saw his son's wanted poster. Knowing that he'll have to pass through Logue Town sooner or later, he went there to see his son off to Grand Line, see what he's like and all. From this pic here, you can almost feel that.

But then again, maybe he was there by accident which is quite a coincidence.

I used to find it unlikely that someone as seasoned as Jinbei joined the crew, given the frequent theme of going out to find new horizons, but then again Nico Robin is also unlike the others in having long previous experience, and if the Blackbeard crew is supposed to mirror the Strawhats, there's that unknown member who looks somewhat like a catfish-man, so I don't rule it out anymore.

i dont get this nico robin part , given that she has a tense history i cant beilieve you said that , her story mainly revolves around the crew , how she's finally found her place and people she belongs to nico robin is meant to be in the strawhats its her destiny its not about occupying some position because going by that logic what good is luffy .

I wouldn't mind seeing Iva tag-along for a bit lol but I can't see him as a SH. I'm pretty sure that Iva is very much still an important RV member! I can't see him leave Dragon for Luffy.

Just imagine the surface area that Iva's massive head would occupy on the Thousand Sunny! xD

What do you suppose will happen to Garp at the end of this arc?

He has already said that he plans to retire after the WB war, however he has done some things in the sight of Sengoku that are... for want of a better term, "Treasonous".

1) The just let him get away with what he did and retire.
2) They let him retire then arrange a little accident for him.
3) They kill him now and announce the Hero of the Marines died of his injuries in the War.
4) They put him on trial for treason, then send him to Impel Down.
5) They don't get a chance to do anything as he attacks BB and is killed.

I think Garp and Dragon will meet face to face again. It's not a requirement, but I think it's a possibility to have flashback between the two.

LMAO at "arrange an accident for him" and they can't kill him right now cos the denden mushis are back on and the world can see whats happening. I dont think he'll be punish to be honest, anyone in his position would most probably have done the same; unless that person was Akainu. Sengoku already said that it couldn't be helped but what would have made his end was if he attacked Akainu, the WG would have had no choice but to put him down.

With Garp's LONG LONG service record he might just get kicked out of the marines and go hang out with Danden (sp),I don't really see what he's done thats all that bad,

sure he said he'd kill an admiral if he was let go (a verbal threat not like he killed him) 2. got "stopped" by luffy after he failed to deliver the "first of love" which you can't blame him for

Plus I think sengoku and the other higher ups have a high degree of respect for Garp and might just let him walk away....OH and what chapter/page does garp say he's quitting after the WB war?
