Also, the only reason everyone except Jinbe seemed weak was because the Straw Hats had just undergone two years worth of intense training. If they had traveled to Fishman Island immediately after the Marineford War, it wouldn't have been nearly as easy for them.
Yes. But it still makes the story somewhat boring. Hody could easily be defeated by Luffy, Zoro, Sanji or Jinbe if it wasn't the circumstances.

even until now, it still is not explained why law cut kinemon back in punk hazard and it was like nothing happened afterwards.

but the minks said they and the kougetsu clan of wano are like family. that would mean they as a whole and not just one person.

Law cut Kinemon in order to show his "loyalty" to DD meaning he would protect his business but in the long run it was for his own agenda, but once he met Luffy in PH he found the perfect opportunity to execute his plan. Im pretty sure Kinemon understands his reason

I don't think that's the case, Law made it imperative that Joker must not know he was on Punk Hazard; his aim was supposedly to ambush Joker.

Law sliced Kinemon up and had his body spread across PH:
  1. Head imprisoned.
  2. Torso in the sea.
  3. Lower half attached to a Dragon.
Question is why did Law make it so difficult for him to reattach himself back together? I'm guessing he was aware of the conflict in Wano Kuni to an extent. Kinemon being a Samurai from Wano must mean he has some score to settle relating to Kaido (and Joker, possibly). Being that Law's aim was Joker, Kinemon could prove to be an uncontrollable variable which could sabotage his plans, taking him out as meticulously as possible was probably for the best.

We may get to know more about their encounter in the future. But if not, we know enough already: Kinemon thought of Doflamingo as his enemy, and Law was seemingly associated with Doflamingo. Things were settles when they realized they had an enemy in common.

I'm calling it now! 2016 will be the Summer of Sanji! The hype building up to his arc is massive. We are in store for a really awesome year of One Piece guys and gals/gals and guys (Gotta be PC). I for one know that Oda will not disappoint!!!!!!

Remember the color spread from Ch. 811?

Apparently Oda hid on there the costumes for the SHs in the upcoming movie.

Typical Oda shenaningans.

source

Also, does anyone know where this is from?

It says Bandai so I assume it's from a game, but my genuine reaction was what are thooooose.

If I read it correctly it says "Chopper Tank".
Here's an unboxing video

PS: you can always right click on the image and do "Image search". It should give you some links in Japanese, but from there you can use google translate to get what it means.

Thanks for sharing the interesting info.

It is so like Oda to hide things around and one has to be very careful to see his hints.:Haha

The Chopper Tank looks like a game.

Yeah Jinbei is bound to appear in Big Mom's Arc. With Wadatsumi, I suppose? Wonder what's going to happen to him? He can't join as well, he is too much of a burden for both the Straw Hats and the readers as well. I wonder, the Straw Hats do have a Den Den Mushi now. Can't they just call Jinbei, who is already familiar with Big Mom?
Well, when the Sun Pirates leave Big Mom's authority and join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet (it's obvious that will happen), maybe Wadatsumi can join them.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this question, let me know if I should ask it elsewhere :)

How powerful do you think Jack is, compared to Doflamingo? Do you think he's stronger than Doffy, or does Doffy have the strength of a Yonko commander? If he's stronger it's gonna be a hell of a fight when they will face Kaido and his calamities!

If I had to guess, I would say Doflamingo is the strongest of the two. But it took Luffy and Law to defeat him, so it does not necessarily means it will be easier.

But it's hard to tell, we don't know how powerfull Jack could be. Most fans seems to presume he's as powerfull as Marco, since they have equivalent positions. But I can't see Marco going all by himself against two Admirals like Jack did.

This is a difficult question to answer.

First and foremost, we didn't have a full picture of the fight between Jack and the Minks, particularly Jack with the Mink rulers, Inu and Neko. When the StrawHat initially came to Zou island, they were faced with Carrot, Wanda and a few good fighters there. From their brief encounters, we were able to have a rough idea of how strong the Mink people are. Further to the story, we were told that the Mink race is a tribe who are trained as warriors since young. From these bits and pieces of information, I reckon that the rulers must be powerful enough to face any threats that come against them. Furthermore, the manga appears to portray them as very strong and powerful people.

During the days of the battle, Jack has been fighting day and night with the two rulers non-stop, and none had won the battle. We were also told by the Minks that Jack had appeared to lose his patience and that was why he used the "poison gas" which resulted the defeat of the Minks. I suppose both parties were on "fist-to-fist" during that battle and not even one party won the battle. It was only after the initiation of poison where the physical fight stopped.

If we take Jack and compared him with Doflamingo, in terms of physical strength, I suppose Jack may have the upperhand. It seems like Jack is more of a physical fighter, while Doffy is more of a manipulative type and he uses strings and not so much of fist. It is really hard to tell unless we can have a closer look at Jack and see how he fights. We have only seen Doflamingo in detail during the Dressrosa arc. But Jack is still quite a blank page for us. Perhaps when the author shows us more in future, the topic as mentioned may be more relevant. Truly, we can only speculate at this point.

Thanks for bringing up for discussion. :^_^

It just occurred to me how Kaido's eyes were intentionally obscured here:

It probably won't be a dragged on issue like Doflamingo's eyes, but yeah. Also, maybe it's just me but the pannel on the left where the speech bubble is above his eyes, the character design really reminds me of Roger's face.

It should be fine since Kaido hasn't been formally introduced yet. Well, we have only get some glimpses of him so far. I guess we will have to wait till he is officially set for the war, then we would know him better.

Talking about Doflamingo, I wonder if he is going to show us his eyes or not? His sunglasses had already broken, it should be time he looks at us face-to-face, isn't it? :teehee

These toys look good. I like the commercial. With One Piece cast promoting the razors, they should be very profitable. :p Anyone buying one? :smile-big

Apologies if this has already been brought up, but if not...

Daaamn Oda, back at it again!

Cross Epoch (that^) came out 10 years ago... still mesmerizing how everything still ties up neatly today.
(if you missed it, look at the symbol on Zoro's clothes)
