Yup, it was actually Watsuki's way of congratulating/endorsing one of his former assistant (Oda) having his debut serialization in WSJ. I still find it pretty cool, though. Proof that Watsuki and Oda has had a good relationship.

guys,why do people say sentomaru is a captain now? I never read that,not to mention that even wiki states he is just an officer now. I think he is much above that rank,such as commodore or rear admiral (he should be a vice-admiral,though,as he is good in using haki)

Sentomaru is the bodyguard of Vegapunk and is in command of the Marines' Science Unit. After the timeskip, he has become a full-fledged Marine officer.

I think it is because of the coat:

EDIT: his rank is unknown, but he is a Marine officer, that was not tha case before ts.

His rank within the Science Department was Captain. Some people might be confusing this for his current rank. His rank with the Marine is currently unknown, other than being an officer. I also believe he is higher ranking than a captain. His skill level with haki, and command of the Pacifista, are enough to imply a very high rank.

So i just decided to offer myself Photoshop and damn it's so amazing.Anyway,i like to draw but i usually do it on paper and i still have to get use drawing with a tablet.Regardless,i was so excited about it that decided to share my progress and i hope you'll like it.

Nice! Although a little suggestion...you may want to read about color theory and color palettes. I'm sure that yellow effect is something you intended for a soft warmth feel, but there is ways to avoid it stepping on the white.
You can either mask it (PSD is awesome JUST because of it) or change layer blending to "soft" something I can't recall right now xD

Thanks for the tip i look into that.I also checked some tutorial here and there,learn some tricks on how to do the eyes and make better shadow.This is the result so far:

I didnt do the drawing this time,did some lineart to get my own version of Boa Hancock and add my own color

Also learned a few tips on backgrounds

It's so exciting doing this..I feel like a baby who is learning how to walk

Hehe!To bad she ended up looking that way(well serves her right lol),it wasn't my intention.I am new to digital painting so i have a little bit of work to do and some adjustment to do here and there to make things look the way i want them to look .
