Does anybody remember this dude? Like, I thought he was a cool character and expected him in the Marineford War...
He was drawn in his youth in that Marine photo so I don't think Oda has forgotten about him.

Ah yes, I'd completely forgotten about Bogart. It used to be, wherever Garp was, he was also there; I saw them as having the same sort collaboration that Smoker and Tashigi have. But we haven't seen him since Water 7 and with Garp having resigned as Vice-Admiral, it'd be interesting to know what's become of him. I want to say that maybe he replaced Garp but we never did know what his rank was.

That's right, he was part of Garp's fleet.
I was hoping that when Sakazuki makes those cliff-hanger moments on who to fill the Admiral positions, that Bogart would be one of them.
Considering he follows Garp who isn't just any person to follow around, I was hoping Bogart was some ridiculously strong dude.

D: Oda-chi! I went to see the One Piece Exhibition. At that time, chapter 668, "Pirate Alliance" was the chapter in Jump!!! In the "From the Decks of the World" picture, there were three sake cups in front of Ace's grave!!! Is it alright to think THAT person visited Ace's grave?? I expect that only Luffy and that person really know for sure... P.N. Hairdresser Gonke

O: Right, this is the image from chapter 668 that's in this very volume, but when it appeared in Jump, the advertisement messages covered up some parts and readers couldn't see it all very well. But at that time, the One Piece Exhibition was in Tokyo, and the person who wrote this letter went and saw the original image to confirm. You can also confirm it with this very volume. As for what you should think when you see this, well, I'll leave that to your imaginations for now.


Cant figure out in the below pic... Any coloured picture of this that has been referred in the SBS???

The Mangarule translations on Batoto are the ones released a few days after the chapter release, so the tankobon version is not available at that point. Later on, MR buys the raw volume and translates it again with better scans and, under circumstances, with corrections of mistakes.

Ah, I see. I thought it was going to be something similar to the chapter 0. Anyway, I suppose to be considered cannon we should have the explicit testimony of Oda in favor of that. Thanks for the info.
