You say few, I put almost all the fighters.... basically there are only a couple of fights he won despite being weaker.
I said few and you just said there are only a couple he won despite being weaker.
Are we not saying the same thing? Or 'few' and 'a couple' do not have the same meaning?

After that you say:

Yes, you said only a few he won on his own, I showed you the contrary.

We are speaking about the fights he won, why do you bring on the table the fights he lost? I specifically mention the fights he WON, this is what we were talking about. There is no need to argue if you change the subject.
Ok. That is my bad then. However, it was because you started mentioning the likes of alvida, wapol, Morgan etc. Those are hardly fights and they aren't main opponents. I admit that was sloppy on my part anyway.

Moria dared to fight Kaidou, Crocodile dared to fight WB....
Yes and both got their asses kicked. They were beaten so badly that their convictions and beliefs changed.
That is proof of what happens when you challenge the wrong people.

Now we are seeing someone stronger than Moria (DD) who is also afraid of engaging kaido and this still means nothing to you? Even the capacity and fighting prowess of DD's crew far eclipses those from thriller bark. The executives would make short work of those others and yet DD is afraid of kaido.
I believe this is an indication that he is smart enough to know when not to overstep boundaries.

I stop arguing with you, this going nowhere. Basically because you go around, therefore it will be endless. Just to finish as a proof:

Same than with Holt; it is your opinion. Good, it can be. But do not state it as real facts. We do not even know the extent of Luffy's strength at the moment, since he has not got a real fight in ages. As Holt said, Luffy wins sometimes even if he is weaker. That was the case with his first Shichibukai, you can expect him to do the same with his first Yonkou. He did not last against DD because he was careless, typical of him, let's wait to assert things here again.

Do not use the 30%, Law included it as the chances of strategy and since all he said was lies, this could be totally untrue. The goal was not Kaidou but DD, chances that he has been to Dressrosa before and so on. He had to be credible to hope Luffy will go with him according to the plan.

Moria dared to fight Kaidou, Crocodile dared to fight WB....
You're right this is getting nowhere, because it's mostly assumptions from your part. It's ok we can all make assumptions or theorize about stuff in OP, but since there is no way to be sure yet, it's best to trust what information has been given to us by numerous characters in the manga.
For starters the Yonko are considered la creme de la creme of pirates, or simply put the strongest and more influential pirates. They control the NW and even the Shichibukai aren't exactly willing to take on more than one Yonko at a time. We can deduce that from Mihawk's reaction to Shanks arriving at Marineford(although it's possible there is another reason behind that). Another proof would be BB not willing to take on Shanks and his crew even though he just acquired the strongest DF shown in the manga, WB's DF.
The Yonko while not being prone to directly confront each other, were shown to do this twice. Shanks vs WB(the WG were shitting their pants when they both met) and Kaidou going after WB only to be stopped by Shanks. If the WG is just afraid of Shanks and WB meeting then you can make an idea for yourself about how strong those two are, and Yonko in general.
Besides having crews and alliances that can easily be numbered in hundreds, the Yonko themselves are supposed to be pretty strong, just look at every example of a Yonko in the manga(the ones that were shown). The gap between WB and the commanders is huge, same for BB and his other commanders(I guess we can call them that) and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same for the rest.
WB was called the strongest man alive, and Kaidou is called the strongest creature, and BM is the strongest woman. Seeing how the former(WB) was indeed the strongest man, I think it's not an exaggeration and those titles actually reflect the reality.
During Marineford, the Shichibukai didn't face WB directly, for the exception of Mihawk launching an air slash at him. This could hint to them not being able to fight WB directly because they don't stand a chance, and seeing how Crocodile was a Shichibukai and he may have lost to WB in the past it's not hard to see why the Shichibukai are relunctant to face the Yonko.
Kaidou is most likely a Zoan type user, or just a beast(not human). He could be a Zoan because he's crew has a lot of them (500). With that in mind it's not hard to conclude that he'd be terribly strong just looking at how Rob Lucci was incredibly strong when Luffy faced him.
So everything points to Kaidou being feared because he's a Yonko, and because he's supposedly very strong(title). Anything else is pure speculation at this point and it would be ignoring every information that has been given to us .Also it is not realistic to think that Luffy is stronger than the Yonko at the moment. It's not like that how the manga works. To me it was evident in the first part of the manga that Luffy got stronger with each enemy he fought. Also Luffy always loses the first rounds, but makes a come back in the second or third round. Why's that? Well Luffy's greatest strength is his endurance, he's able to fight even after sustaining a lot of damage, he was exhausted after ID but he still fought in Marineford. Morever, he always pushes his limits and fights even when he's about to die (of poison for example). When entering a fight Luffy is always the weaker one, at least on paper. If it wasn't for obvious weaknesses(water for Crocodile, lightning being ineffective against rubber for Enel) he wouldn't have won so easily, and in fact he didn't because he still sustained a lot of damage. And a lot of his opponents end up underestimating him so that plays in them losing too. My point is we need to see Luffy level up as they sail in the NW, just like we saw him level up in paradise, so it is not realistic to think that as of the Dressrosa arc Luffy is already stronger than the Yonko, because that would be discarding everything that was previously established in the manga, and we'll prolly know for sure once Luffy fights DD for real.
The challenge with the Yonko, other than them being pretty powerful individuals, is also the fact that their crews are huge. Kaidou has 500 Zoan type users, and he could possibly have more crew members that aren't DF users, or not Zoan. Seeing how Luffy had such a hard time to deal with Lucci alone, do you really think things will go so smoothly? And just look at the mess that is Dressrosa. Law is right even with their alliance they wouldn't stand a chance against a Yonko's crew in its entirety, because I doubt that Luffy could just waltz in and face Kaidou directly.
Your assumptions have not much substance to them if not at all, or at least not more than what has been said by Holt and other members.

Ahaha good one however I will just put some more for you:

- Mihawk and Shanks is a special case: They fought each other many times. He came to show him the bounty of Luffy. Their relation looks more like a rivalry than seeing each other as ennemies. Therefore Mihawk refusing to engage a war with him.
- BB attacked Shanks before, this is where he got his scare. And at the moment he only had his first fruit.

Explain me that:

- Drake: ...In other words, if I were to, say, take you out, then Kaidou would not let me get away with it.
GuardDude: That's the deal... If you understand, then I suggest -
Drake: That makes things nice and simple.
X- Drake does not seem to have any problem to be chased by Kaidou. And it was before the time skip, meaning after he got crushed by Kizaru.

Kaidou is most likely a Zoan type user, or just a beast(not human).
I agree with that, that is my opinion too, I would see him with like a mythical fruit (like Marco). But this is an idea based on nothing. :)

He could be a Zoan because he's crew has a lot of them (500).
Well, no link here. Too much lack of information: could be interesting if he was a Zoan overuling any other Zoan. Like I dunno the Lion is the king of animals.

When entering a fight Luffy is always the weaker one, at least on paper.
Well I have to disagree on this one, sometimes he is, sometimes he is not. Do you have the feeling since the time skip on the paper he was the weakest in any of his fight? DD aside, they haven't fought yet.

So yes, Yonkou are seen to be some of the best pirates. Yet as I understood it - correct me if I am wrong-, Yonkou is not a group you are eligible too. You are seen as one of them due to your influence, your strength, the territories you control (chapter 650).

Just sayin': More people than we know might be able to confront them, especially since the world changed, people from revolutionary army, the former prisoners of Impel Down.

Both of those happened at unspecified times. Especially Shanks and Mihawk being a rivalry which seems to indicate a test of who was a better swordsman. Shanks hasn't been a yonko forever, he was once an apprentice on Roger's ship. In the past 22 years when he rose to yonko level, anything could have happened. We can't even compare luffy now to luffy 2 years ago. Times change and people change with it. Mihawk is the greatest swordsman in the world not the strongest one.

Even more, we've seen that Usopp (one of the weakest in the crew) gave luffy a pretty difficult time. Foxy did the same. Doesn't really change that luffy was stronger than both.

Explain me that:

X- Drake does not seem to have any problem to be chased by Kaidou. And it was before the time skip, meaning after he got crushed by Kizaru.
As with examples given before involving moria and crocodile, its all well and good to want to challenge a yonko. Did you see how luffy was talking to WB at the war? That doesn't affect WB being significantly more powerful than him. It seems drake wanted to get kaido's attention, however even if that wasn't he case, then he was pretty silly to think he could challenge a yonko and win. DD is stronger than drake and DD is a veteran of the new world. As joker, he is entitled to large amounts of information and he rules the underworld. I'll chalk up his fear being because he knows just how powerful kaido is.

So yes, Yonkou are seen to be some of the best pirates. Yet as I understood it - correct me if I am wrong-, Yonkou is not a group you are eligible too. You are seen as one of them due to your influence, your strength, the territories you control (chapter 650).

Yes yonko is due to strength and territory. The influence comes thanks to those. However, not just anyone becomes yonko. That aside, luffy would still have to face kaido on these terms. If you feel he is weak but has a large crew, that's fine, but luffy still has to face that crew and kaido.

Anyone that wants to challenge a yonko has to fight both them and their crew. Even for shicibukia, when you challenge them, you have to fight the crew as well. Heck this is the case for normal pirates too.
Kaido isn't a solo warrior and he currently has atleast 500 zoan users in the crew. However, you have to know that hardly anyone follows a weak captain. In OP, the captain is the top guy and the strongest and as far as we know, that remains the case with kaido (until disputed). If kaido wasn't all that, you think DD would he so scared?

Ofcourse anyone can confront them, but you'll have to get through the crew first. Assuming you manage that feat, you have to engage kaido after.

You're basically hinging at the unlikely assumption that kaido isn't the strongest and his power comes from his large crew and that there's something specific that DD fears about kaido when its explicitly stated that if they get in a war, kaido would wipe the floor with him.

You're welcome.

How can we be sure that he didn't want to fight him because of their relationship. I'll just quote Mihawk on this:
I consented to warring against Whitebeard but "Red-hair" is outside the scope of our agreement.
Literally it just means that Mihawk didn't agree on fighting anyone other than WB. And I doubt he would make a special treatment for Shanks even if they're rivals.
We don't know when BB gave that scar to Shanks, it most likely happened before he became a Yonko, when Shanks went to East Blue he prolly wasn't a Yonko back then. He was still gathering his crew, and he already had the scar back then.So it doesn't really count imo.
Explain me that:
X- Drake does not seem to have any problem to be chased by Kaidou. And it was before the time skip, meaning after he got crushed by Kizaru.
And yet in Caribou's cover story it is strongly hinted that Drake is now in league with Kaidou, because of how he shows up in the factory that was held by Scotch, a member of Kaidou's crew. It's possible the factory is the one Sabo is looking for, since it's a weapon's factory. Caribou swallows the factory with his swamp DF, and Drake shows up in his T rex form, beats him and takes him away. Why would Drake beat up the guy that just dealt a blow to a Yonko? The answer he's in league with Kaidou now.

Well I have to disagree on this one, sometimes he is, sometimes he is not. Do you have the feeling since the time skip on the paper he was the weakest in any of his fight? DD aside, they haven't fought yet.
He is more often that not, and he is always against the fighters that really count like Crocodile, Enel etc. Again as I said we have to take other things into consideration like DF weaknesses.
So yes, Yonkou are seen to be some of the best pirates. Yet as I understood it - correct me if I am wrong-, Yonkou is not a group you are eligible too. You are seen as one of them due to your influence, your strength, the territories you control (chapter 650).
They're not working together yes, but they're all working towards one goal that is to stretch their influence to the whole of the new world, and possibly one of them would become the PK. There can be only one lol.
]Just sayin': More people than we know might be able to confront them, especially since the world changed, people from revolutionary army, the former prisoners of Impel Down.
Confronting doesn't mean winning.Crocodile confronted WB at some point and he apparently lost everything. Moria did the same with Kaidou. Drake could have possibly confronted Kaidou and now it looks like he's working for him, and there is only two ways to survive in the new world, challenge the Yonko or be in their sphere of influence. Kaidou could have been more lenient with Drake because of his rare DF. Aokiji works for BB now, and he's far from being weak. And Kidd could have possibly lost his arm to BM but it's too early to tell.Hell even Buggy counts as challenging WB and he's weak as hell :p
So in the end the Yonko are feared for a good reason, and challenging them without preparations would only result in one losing everything. The Yonko are the closest to reaching the "position" of Pirate King, and they are an obstacle to anyone who wants to reach that position. So it's only natural that Luffy would challenge them and maybe beat them, but it's not an easy task, and at this moment I think he's weaker than most of them. That doesn't mean he cannot become stronger, and by that I just don't mean physically, he has to gather a bigger pirate alliance in order to fight evenly with the Yonko, and that I think is the purpose of this arc, to make allies for the SHs in order to fight the Yonko and possibly the WG in the final war. And in the end I can only see Luffy winning over all those guys, even Shanks, if he wants to realize his dream of becoming the PK.But rather than assuming that he's stronger than all of them right now, I prefer to see him start as being weaker and then getting stronger each time he takes down one, it will be much more satisfying imo.
WB lived up to the expectation, he was quite frankly the strongest man, and I really think those titles are deserved. There is absolutely no reason to underestimate the Yonko at least, because they have shown how much power and influence they can gather. And in order to stretch that influence they need to be strong, or else why would you think BB waited all this time to become Yonko? He knew he would get destroyed if he didn't plan each step carefully. And even relying on one's strength isn't enough, you have to find allies that are willing to fight for you and subjugate other crews for you, just like we saw with Ace. Anyway I really think Kaidou is strong, they all are compared to the other opponents of the SHs, and if someone like DD can shit his pants while learning that he might face Kaidou then It definitely proves they are a force to be feared.

What is this about?
I was answering Ladylola why Mihawk would not want to engage a war with Shanks. Like Jinbei did not want to join the war with WB.

You're basically hinging at the unlikely assumption that kaido isn't the strongest and his power comes from his large crew and that there's something specific that DD fears about kaido when its explicitly stated that if they get in a war, kaido would wipe the floor with him.
I understood it was hard for you to get that I was not going for everything I say, let's just stop.
When I say the possibility exists, does not mean I refute it. As I said, Kaidou maybe is not a zoan. Maybe he is. But as I answered to Ladylola, I do believe he is. Clear?

Conclusion:

You're basically hinging at the unlikely assumption that kaido isn't the strongest and his power comes from his large crew and that there's something specific that DD fears about kaido when its explicitly stated that if they get in a war, kaido would wipe the floor with him.
No I am not. I just say we do not know why DD fears him when many people are ready to get him. Maybe everything changed in two years skip. As you you were very good to show the nuance saying Mihawk is the greatest swordman but not the strongest.
Kaidou being the most powerful creature does not mean he is the strongest pirate. ;) So yes I believe he is not, that Shanks among others is stronger than him. But no evidence of that was shown and no arguing possible on this basic opinion.

And we always have surprises in One Piece; who would have expected the executives of the Donquixote family to be so weak? And yet, part of a reduce crew of one of the strongest pirates shown so far and he showed absolute faith in them. Speaking about misleading trust.... Diamante, genius of the fight, hero of the Coliseum, one shot by a one-legged.

Who also happens to be the true hero of the colosseum who went undefeated for god knows how many fights(can't remember). I'm not surprised that Diamante didn't live up to the expectation, his ability while creative is quite weak and they're all a bunch of cheaters, as shown in the colosseum. Sabo would have had no trouble to take him down. But it's possible that the rest of the executives are stronger. Besides as it was already pointed out before by Holt, DD as the captain is supposed to be the strongest in his crew, and I think the same applies to the Yonko period.
No surprises actually, if people were to bother follow the logic and the order that Oda established for so many years they would deduce that any crew, even that of a Shichibukai wouldn't stand a chance against a Yonko one, or even other allied pirates (Luffy and Law alliance), not to mention one that was enjoying a life of pleasure in Dressrosa where they all ended up becoming fat:p

Yeah but at the time he had two legs. Come on we could have expected much more. But as you said, in the end they are cheaters fu*ing around. XD
Sabo would have killed him yeah, but Sabo he is god damn powerful ! Of course Captains are always the strongest, does not mean the other have to be taken out in one shot. XD
First Diamante, next week probably Pica, Law put Trebol down in one shot too (though now he is okay again)...

To be honest, I don't really understand why you keep saying we do not know why DD fears him. We do know why and its because he doesn't fancy clashing with him. What else do you need to know? Luffy has to beat DD first before things like that become relevant.

Never said kaido is the strongest pirate. We aren't arguing about who can beat kaido. We are talking about luffy and kaido here and luffy is far from being the strongest pirate as well.

As for why DD would be afraid, it would be simply because he is aware of kaido's strength. Remember back when the SH's first met aokiji and robin was literally shaking? The SH's ofcourse could not understand the fear. Even though they found out he was an admiral, it wasn't until actual combat that they realized just how far apart aokiji was in strength. Now, when they hear of an admiral, they can deduce the level of strength.

And we always have surprises in One Piece; who would have expected the executives of the Donquixote family to be so weak? And yet, part of a reduce crew of one of the strongest pirates shown so far and he showed absolute faith in them. Speaking about misleading trust.... Yes but those kind of surprises don't extend to main guys not to mention a yonko. Even with DD's admittedly sub-par crew, DD himself has shown to be clearly powerful. He has successfully defeated law, cut off his arm and would have killed him if he did not get distracted by luffy. In the short skirmishes he has had with luffy, he has proved to likely be the superior one. This again proves that the captain is the top of the crew.

As for diamante and kyros, kyros is the real legend of the coliseum. The guy who went undefeated for 3,000 fights. It is to be expected. DD even wanted kyros to work for him. Besides, kyros emerged pretty injured from the fight. Diamante is no hero. That much is clear. And it wasn't one-shot, they had been fighting for quite a while (although kyros couldn't concentrate). Even after robin came, diamante managed to still inflict serious wounds on kyros.

And of course it had nothing to do with him chasing for years and killing her very first and only friend maybe?

See? Many reasons you can be affraid of someone beyond its own strength. If you do not get it, leave it there, stop answering. I am just wondering if there would be any reason why he fears him so much. As far as I remember no one shaked like that to its name.
Maybe there is, maybe there is not, it was just a question I was raising. So thanks for sparing me the answer: " he does want to clash with him".

This again proves that the captain is the top of the crew.
Nobody said the crontrary not even need to discuss it.

Yeah yeah, DD called him a hero not me. He is just a cheater trolling around. Yes he was one shot; Kyros had to throw one successful attack at him to finish him. At least that is what I call a one shot. Like Zoro finished Braham or Wiper Shura. You do not want to argue about what a one shot is, do you?

We are talking about luffy and kaido
Ah, really? Did not think so, not much to say, 'til Kaidou comes out.

I wouldn't mind arguing about what one shot means. :p

You say it's one successful attack, but don't the other attacks before that count as well? If you had a revolver and you missed your first five shots before hitting your target on the 6th, would you call that a one shot?

Hey, some times, we get a few colored pages in a chapter, like the start of chapter 598.If you look at those pages online, they are in collor, but when i bought the actuall manga, it was still in black and white, but was better quallity, i was wondering if that was meant to be?
all help appriciated.
I imagine one of the reasons is cost of print and quality? Tankoubons( manga volumes) are of better quality than you get in the weekly magazines and printed( I assume) in a much higher number.

Someone could provide a more in depth answer for you either here or in the Weekly Jump thread, for example.

In short...yes, they are black and white deliberately; it's not a printing mistake :)

The digital manga is colored, so maybe that's where those pages come from, but the printed manga isn't. As explained by goldb, it is rather costly, and for the exception of the color pages I think everything is in black and white. You can purchase the digitally colored manga on Shueisha's jump app, or even on Amazon if you happen to own a Kindle.

just want to share this, because that sounds to me much more impressive than the anime version.

I feel dumb for not recognizing that it's Namie despite watching both her last concerts and having seen the OP soo often.-_- Glad she got a comeback a couple years ago.

How many days would one have to wait to get onto the tokyo tower?

That's as far as I will ever get near it, in my imaginary Kaiju Pokemon battle. :D
