One Piece'3rd Stop-Motion 'Cry heart' ft Ace's death :

Banpresto began streaming a stop-motion animated video for its "One Piece Cry heart ~children's dream~” line of crane game prize figures on Monday. The short recreates the famous scene of Ace's death from Eiichiro Oda's manga and anime.

Unlike most figures, Banpresto's "Cry heart" figures is deliberately designed to encourage people to create their own stop-motion shorts. The figures come with multiple faces and flexible joints, and fans can use them to create animation with smartphone apps or other means. Banpresto will release the set featuring Ace on May 14, while the set featuring Luffy and Whitebeard is slated for May 21.

The first "Cry heart" short featuring Chopper premiered in January last year, while the second short featuring Luffy, Ace, and Sabo premiered in May last year.

very nice the last chapter!! good job Oda!!
like many speculated it was muscle balloon but with some "twists". i always wanted to see Luffy taking complete control of his body so he could be in a semi-Logia state being rubber something like super soft super slippery rubber. but Oda genuisely thought of another way with the use of Haki that none thought(or maybe a few). Being "hard" and "soft" at the same time. now someone had to be a few levels if not many above Luffy to inflict damage, cause he would have firstly to go through the CoA and then Luffy's DF ability. i presume that logic applies here and not only hakiwise defense.

also a comment about DF i think Paramecia are EXTREMELY UNDERRATED!!!
The Zoan give enchancement plus the animal's characterstics( defense of a turtle, flight ability of a hawk etc) and if you go the special category you go more special like mythical or dinosaur)
The Logia are elemental purely.
The Paramecia on the other hand are i think more special in their usage they need a clever user to unlock all the potential. some are boring(mostly cause of the users like the bomb man and his partner) some are extremely powerful like Blackbeard's and Whitebeard's(although here comes again the user) everyone says Luffy's is lame i think not as shown by Oda. it is impervious to anything blunt and haki less and that that means a LOT of types of opponennt are at disadvantage automatically also it can be used to multiply physical abilities of the user and bonus is the natural enemies to one the strongest fruits. Enel's is a Logia type plus the second fastest plus the user can charge back up power for battles and it is lethal on touch cause electrocution = game over(even poison could take time to take effect or you could have some antibodies but still electrocution is more potent that poison). DD's is crazy versatile you can control people!!! Kuma can reject even damage!!! Blackbirds sucks everything and nullifies and the other is pure distraction by vibrations!!!! Ope Ope can even give immortality, Hawkins can avoid damage even death by his voodoo dolls!!!

Hum, like nothing? Law didn't kill Monet. He changed hearts with Smoker. Caesar Clown "killed" her (but there is no proof of that). And Vergo was beaten by Law, but he didn't kill him with these hands. He left him in the sad factory. The explosion kills him. Law is responsible but he didn't take his life with his bare hands.

Could this be a foreshadow of someone with feline traits destroying Trafalgar Law? The only feline character so far is Rob Lucci, but he doesn't count. I suspect this could be Kaidou.
Add to that the grave no 944 could be the chapter when it happens. 150 chapters from here does not seem to far fetched.

That makes sense. There is a discussion online that the chapter foreshadows Zoro's death based on the cross, 944 and a zombie swordsmen running away. However, I dont think that will happen. It will be too early.

Why? Why would Zoro have to die?
What if chapter 944 is when they finally reach Wano? I think I would settle for that. I bet Zoro is going to play a big role in that arc, being a swordsman and having Shusui.It could be one of the main plot elements of the Wano arc.

I don't think Zoro will die, atleast not in chapter 944. That would be too soon. Zoro might die towards the end, or for that matter some other crew member. Just the price of being close to the title of the pirate king.

Am I the only one who thinks no one will die, that all the SHs will realize their dream, even Luffy who technically has the biggest chance of dying?

Same..I don't really see any of the main SHs dying. I don't see any merit or so that would come from that, especially those from the first 5 (luffy, zoro, Nami, Sanji and Usopp).

It's foreshadowing the death of Mihawk, not Zoro. You can read the word "mejor" in Zoro's shirt, which means "best" in spanish. Mihawk has the appearance of a Spanish swordsman and is the "best" swordsman. Plus you can see a golden cross in the treasure chest, similar to Mihawk's sword.

So I read this a few weeks ago but since no one else has posted it here, Oda-sensei's latest interview; Source: Rio.D.Kaneki on opforum

After hearing the journalist's guess about One Piece's ending that 'One Piece = Won Peace', meaning the treasure Luffy will finally find is world peace, Oda smiled and said "Indeed, the name of One Piece does have something to do with the ending of One Piece, but I can't tell you the exact reason/clue, or it'd be meaningless."

Later, he said "After 17 years, after more and more new characters being created in the story, I couldn't stop inspiration coming into my head. I think I can continue drawing for another decade." - He also says that more members will join the Straw Hats! "And there will be new nakama, they will show up successively."

When talking about the creation and setting of Devil Fruit, Oda said it's inspired by Doraemon, all the inspirations come from daily life. E.g. Luffy's Gomu Gomu no Mi was created because I (Oda) was too lazy to move out of my seat to get something, it'd be great if I could elongate my arm. Oda also said he wants Robin's Hana Hana no Mi the most because he then could have many hands drawing at the same time. Besides, some of the devil fruits are relevant to some of the most desired wishes from some people in real life. Example: Alvida's Sube Sube no Mi, that among its powers, changed completely Alvida's appearance.

Before One Piece was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, Oda had experienced a bottleneck-period of manga creation, that period once made him so sad and disappointed that he couldn't even get off bed.

He says while smiling that after One Piece has been created, 'inspiration never stopped coming', but before that, he also had low tide in his career. "At that time, any work I submitted had always been denied and unaccepted, I felt so anxious and pressured with no achievement when I found my fellow mangakas started publishing their mangas in weekly magazines, I thought I didn't have any talent of drawing."

Until there's this editor who told him "A hard-working person like you will get what you deserve!" - Then Oda gradually relieved those downhearted feelings and conceptualized One Piece, which amazed everyone with this single brilliant feat in manga world.

Nowadays, One Piece has become Japan's national manga with vast diehard fans. In his entire 20 years of career, he keeps drawing almost every day even when he was hospitalized resulting from over-working. When talking about manga, he still seems to be very happy, "Manga is nothing like a job, I'm always very pleased as long as I'm drawing."

Oda frankly says "As I'm getting older, I've slightly adjusted my sleep time. I go to bed at 8 (morning) and wake up at 12 (noon), making sure that I have 4 hours of sleep. Don't need to worry about my health, it's all fine now."

Oda is really kind when his wife has been mentioned in the interview. When asked about how Oda treats his wife, he says with honesty "Hmm, I'm on my own in work, but I indeed listen a lot to my wife in daily life."

For his beloved manga, Oda often works day and night, he doesn't even have time for relaxation or travel, when asked about why his wife could accept a marriage like this, Oda replies with confidence "Oh, that's right, but if she couldn't accept the busy me, she wouldn't have married me!"

Oda decides to put the inspirations that he got in Taiwan into manga.

On the very day of interview, Oda dresses in t-shirt and jeans. His appearance is no different compared to what he was like two decades ago, only one thing different is the stylish mustache on his face.

"Ah, if I'm gonna describe myself, I'd say I'm a super nice person!" - Oda says with a big laugh. Actually, readers will like him when reading and then liking his manga. "Because my manga reflects myself, for example, Luffy likes eating meat, that's me."

Due to the lack of time traveling abroad, Oda reveals that all the dreamlike kingdoms and fantasy scenes are inspired by books and images. He always talks to editors about plots and scenes.

As for this exhibition, the concept of making manga three-dimensional is what Oda cares the most. "I don't like, in exhibition, the walls were simply hung with artworks. It's like visiting a museum, which is very boring. I want the audience to be happy when they come to the exhibition and blend into manga scenes."

Oda also stated that in another recent interview that something major is going to happen to an important character when the SH's reach wano. In the next sentence he, with a sad look on his face, mentions how he really hates writing character deaths because he considers them all his family.

I think a Straw hat is going to die.
