No that's not how it works. Using water on Croc is just a natural way of bypassing his Logia powers but Haki is different. The concept has already been explained. Haki forces logia to be tangible so when crocodile turns his body to sand and tries to pass through the birdcage, he would get cut up as though he was passing through in human form. This isn't about how powerful DD is either, it's about how Haki works. The strength of Haki also comes into play though. If the gap is wide apart, then crocodile would suffer minimal injuries however he will still be hit because the strings have Haki. An example is back in Marineford when Marco and Jozu hit Akainu with Haki. Their Haki wasn't powerful enough to do proper damage but it still allowed them to be able to touch and hit him because that's how Haki works.

How do you know Crocodile doesn't have Haki though?. Because Oda has only shown two Shichibukai so far, that have used it?. I guess, Hawkeye couldn't cut his way out of Bird Cage then too, right...?. :derp

Did I say he didn't have haki? I said him being in sand form doesn't negate the effect Haki has on him. You said he could simply passed through the birdcage but he can't because it's haki-imbued (well I'm not sure it that was explicitly stated but we're arguing based on that). The thing is, he simply can't just pass through like you suggested if there's haki in the strings. Mihawk being able to cut out of the birdcage (possible or not) is unrelated to this.

Although Crocodile could turn into sand and pass through the birdcage without touching the strings.

Well there are holes but for all intents and purposes they might as well not be there. The birdcage is basically like a forcefield as it can even block out signals of the den den mushi. If the holes really were open, then the communication wouldn't be blocked out.

But the building debris can pass throwing the birdcage, so there are holes in there. Otherwise they would be endlessly dragged like the Smiley factory. I suppose it's not far-fetched for a structure like that to prevent radio transmissions in real life?

I don't think any debris passed through. It shredded other structures aside the Smiley factory, well at least I don't recall any panels of anything passing through the bircage. I doubt a bird-cage like structure can prevent radio transmissions. If that was the case, we wouldn't be able to make calls once inside a building considering buildings have even less 'apparent' openings than the birdcage. People can even make calls while underground (to a certain level) so there's no way something like the birdcage can stop the waves. They might have well as been standing out in the open.

Stuff do get past bird cage after they are cut, so a Logia should be able to so. No idea how it prevents radio signals.

I don't know if this explanation is right but here you go:

Faraday's Cage: Mesh of conductive material. That's it! (I think). So to block the radio waves the material need to be specific and also the wavelength of the wave need to be specific too.

DD's strings are the material that acts as the conductive material and we do not know the wavelength of the radio wave.

So for it to get blocked you need the mesh to be thick and the gaps need to be smaller than the wavelength of the radio waves. Wavelength of radio waves can differ from 10km to some metres. So if the wavelength of the radio waves is 6m and the gap in the birdcage is 5m then the radio wave cannot pass through and is disrupted.

This does happen in real life where houses behind hills or between hills does not get TV signal.

And it doesn't occur in buildings beause there are dishes and other stuff which is at the top of buildings which can get the signal, so it doesn't have to get inside the buildings.

In real world there are no birdcage surrounding us 360 degrees to block the signal so we never knew.

Note Again: I am not sure if this is how it works but is just a pure guess after I saw the Faraday's cage in the Internet.

Thats right. Faraday Cage will block electrical signals, assuming thats how DenDen Mushi communicate. Did you get this idea watching Better Call Saul????

There are other means to cutoff transmission as well, but since Oda doesnt go into details, the hows dont matter....

I think the strings have metallic properties which is what makes his DF ability unique. It can technically isolate Enel as well..

Nah, I never watched it. I just when to google and typed 'mass of strings block radio signals'.

Thanks for verifying it.

Frankie has Vegapunk's blueprints, it would be great If he could give Usopp's kabuto a fruit ability. Maybe the change change fruit. Usopp would have the ability to changw the kabuto into multiple different weapons. A long range rifle, 2 semi automatic hand guns, a bazooka, and gatlin gun. Along with his pop greens, usopp would have even more variety than he already has

Ussop's kabuto getting a DF is quite a popular theory but I dont like it. First of all, it will limit him using Kairoseki like he did to capture Cesar Clown. Second, it doesnt suit his fighting style. Ussop is adaptive and with his intellect can come up with some real cool solutions like we have seen so far. He already got a powerup in the form of Haki, he doesnt need anything else anymore.

He doesn't need sea stones after learning haki. Also sea stones are very rare not something you use to shoot people. That doesn't mean no one does (Z) but Usopp won't.

Remember when Ben Beckman was holding Kizaru at gun point, I would assume he could shoot bullets imbued with haki, Usoop can be.tje same. And he still hasn't learned arnament haki.

True, once you can imbue haki, you dont need to. But we havent seen Ussopp show signs of armament haki, only obesrvation. Like I said, he is adaptive and might even get away without using Haki. For instance, use the elemental opposite of a logia to fight a logia, like water against crocodile maybe.

Besides, the main point of my argument is that he doesnt need a DF, getting one will diminish his fighting style.

Yes, he hasnt and i would extend that to need of Haki as well. Ussopp will never fight the strongest villains, but he will find ways to stall or weaken them. He will outwit their opponent and that would be enough. The observational haki is definitely a useful trait as it expands his sight and visiion

Re: One Piece Chapter 789 Discussion / 790 Predictions-Break this week

After rereading some of Doflamingo's back story, I realized Corason was mean to kids to keep them away from Doflamingo. Doflamingo also planned to use Corasos as the Ope Ope No Mi user to grant him immortality. Why was he so certain Corason would grant him Immortality? Corason was quite independent so how was Doflamingo going to convince him? He didn't seem mentally inhibited.

Also, I know Monet was willing to die for him which makes me wonder how he's able to brainwash people to such a degree.

Why wouldn't he? DD thought Corazon was on his side, he gave him the Heart seat after Vergo, the first Corazon left for his mission. So that means he trusted him enough for that. And he didn't know his brother was a marine or a user. Given how DD killed their father and Rocinante apparently came back despite all that, it wouldn't cross DD's mind that Roci would refuse to use the DF.

ho wait, mingo is an user already , and even if he somehow could remove his power

without diying, he surely doesnt want to lo se it,,

ope ope BYPASS DAT,, since is an ABILITY INFUSED like a spell of some sort

if can be infused OVER another person , without the need to eat the ope fruit ,

so pretty much yes, he need a very expert user of the ope, to cast that over him ,

I feel like we are saying the same thing with different words - Piercing = stabbing and cutting =slashing

Honestly i think G3 has the most destructive power, its just that it lacked speed at the time he used it.But doffy is now on his last legs. So my guess is either a G3+ haki move or a G3+G2 haki move

Something akin to an Elephant rifle would be epic (should have a speed boost too)
If you're saying stabbing > slashing in terms of power, then sure.

Anyway, Luffy will likely beat Doflamingo with one punch, but hopefully it's after Doflamingo gets beaten up even more.
