Hey, this is cool no?

@ladylola

What about that theory (regarding Sanji) that he's a prince of some sort? I think that one is more likely than the "eyebrows" one :P.

Wow cool poster.

No I haven't seen that one but I kinda liked the theory that Sanji might be Senor Pink's son.

---------- Post added at 08:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:20 PM ----------

You prolly mean this
Well Sanji's design is based on Mr Pink from Reservoir dogs

As for the prince thing it's a joke most of the time. Remember this?
I think it's just a trope, that Sanji sees himself as a prince for all the ladies :teehee
I really don't think we can deduce that he's a prince based on the shape of his hat in Davy back fight and the pattern of the towers in Lvneel Kingdom.

On the other hand there are a few hints that might suggest that Sanji is Gimlett, Senor Pink's son. He thought he died but what if Lucianne lied to him because well he's a pirate? And she lost her mind because she was overcome with guilt and sadness about abandoning her child?
Here's a few hints
-DD's crew during Law's flashback was operating in North Blue. So that fulfills the requirement about him being born there.
-The name Senor Pink is actually Spanish for Mr Pink, the character which Sanji is based of.
-The similarities between young Senor Pink from the flashback and Sanji, they wear the same type of clothes.
-We don't know anything about Sanji's parents, but at one point he must have left North Blue to come to East Blue. We don't even know if he grew up there.
-Lucianne is most likely a blond, just like Sanji.
To me it makes sense, we never saw Gimlett actually die, and there's plenty of reasons for Lucian to lose her mind, not just her kid dying. Maybe even he got kidnapped. And how convenient is it that Sanji was away from Dressrosa most of the arc so he didn't get to face Senor? It would have been interesting to see them meet, and Senor seeing a younger version of himself.
Well I would really like to believe it's true, and even though I didn't like Senor Pink that much at first, his flashback managed to redeem him a bit.

And regarding that Youtuber, I've seen many people repost his theories in here, but to me it's pretty much tinfoil.

Imagine if Sanji would really be the son of Senor Pink and they meet each other:
"You are my father?"
"Yes."
"There is so much i have to ask you, but first of all: HOW DID YOU ACHIEVE IT THAT ALL THESE WOMEN ARE SO MUCH IN LOVE WITH YOU!?"
"By being a true man." *while standing in front of him with nothing than a diaper and a bib*

Oh that would have been priceless :XD
Well the argument can be made that you have to be sure of your masculinity in order to wear diapers and not feel ashamed.Like many at first I thought that Senor was just another perv like Franky :teehee

Re: The Search for Straw Hat's New Nakama - 3rd Edition - Dressrosa arc

Well, from what it´s suggested so far, the balance between the monster trio is not that balanced anymore. Of course we have to wait for "real" fights for all three but from what was shown so far, it seems like the gap between each grew larger, both between Luffy and Zoro and Zoro and Sanji. I mean Sanji ws only able to stop DD for an instant while Luffy beat the guy. And then there is Jinbe of course who will upset the balance as well.
But yeah, it´s better when they develop their strength throughout the story, though a certain level of strength and confidence for new members should be there, i don´t want another Chopper or Nami to join, so both Jinbe and Bonney make sense in that regard.
You're oversimplifying it though. Luffy had major difficulty even with Law's help and Doflamingo receiving a fatal wound while Sanji didn't have information on Doflamingo's abilities. We don't know how strong Sanji is, but he's strong enough that despite Nami taking damage in his body and suffering a leg fracture from Vergo's haki shield, Sanji still moved like he was never fatigued or hurt. To date, I think Luffy's the only Straw Hat we have seen go all out.

Jinbei's strength, knowledge, and experience are why the crew needs him. I don't think he'll throw the balance too out of whack, but he will definitely make the Straw Hats more able to take on the Yonkou and possibly stronger shichibukai crew. We've never had a clear insight into who's stronger between Luffy and Jinbei, and I don't recall any direct or indirect assumption about Jinbei's strength in relation to Zoro or even Sanji, even though I think Jinbei is probably stronger than Sanji.

Nah, nobody is claiming that Luffy is stronger than DD but it was made clear that he was and is able to fight him equally, at least as long as he can keep G4 up. Besides, i am not saying that DD was 100% healthy and fit but he himself said that Law´s final attack did not do any serious damage. In addition, Luffy had been fighting all day at that point, from the colosseum to the DD Family soldiers and executives and Bellamy. There is even a point where DD comments on Luffy´s fatigue before they even started to fight, so...
Compare that to Sanji who would have literally died in a few seconds against DD without doing any damage at all, heck DD blocked him like it was nothing.
Also, Luffy hardly knew about the extent of DD´s ability, hence his surprise at seeing the awakening.
It´s actually a pretty good move by Oda, Luffy can temporarily fight the big guys but it´s dangerous since he might run out of Haki before the end of the fight.

I don't think we ever saw luffy and doflamingo fighting equally. Overall I would go as far as making the point that for the most part we saw doflamingo being insanely superior to either law or luffy. Doflamingo never said law's final attack didn't do serious damage for that matter. He simply said he used his ability to stitch himself up but that it is not perfect. Basically, he was still very much injured. Whatever luffy went through that day is nothing compared to having his insides cut up and hastily self stitch them. And even after that luffy could not do a thing to doflamingo with either gear 2 or 3. Its only with gear 4 and all the damage doflamingo had taken that luffy managed to get the upper hand. I don't think luffy would have even been close to winning this one if doflamingo had been moderately healthy at least. Also worth noting, gear 4 was technically not enough to finish off doflamingo. Luffy had help in that bit, there were 10 minutes through which he was protected by a lot of people. Without that doflamingo would have killed luffy without luffy even being able to put up a fight. Doflamingo is by all intents and purposes insanely stronger than luffy.

Luffy and Jinbe appeared to be roughly equals during their fight in chapter 629. If we assume that Luffy is stronger than anyone in his crew, then Jinbe should be too.

This page alone tells me otherwise and there was no indication in the fight itself that the injury Law caused impeded his fighting and strength + Luffy had to use ton of Haki before even getting to DD and we know now that he can apparently run out of it for a certain amount of time, so....
The fact that Luffy was not completely able to beat him up at the end is true though but like i said, maybe without all the fights Luffy had gone through that day he could have used G4 for a longer time, so that puts everything in a relation.
I completely disagree, i think this fight parallels the fight against Lucci pretty well to be honest, in that Lucci seemed like an unbeatable opponent but Luffy had to use a technique which he was not completely versed in and had not used against any serious opponent before but which puts him on an equal footing for a short period of time. I think people underestimate G4, heck Luffy just bounced back a deadly attack by DD like it was nothing, so a guy like that can not be insanely stronger considering what simply blocking an attack like that entails. Just to put it in perspective, the only one we have seen so far who blocked an attack with a sharp objects just with his body was Vergo against Tashigi.

There is no way doflamingo had his insides cut up to no consequence to himself even with his stitching. Even doflamingo made the point that his ability is not quite the same as healing in the image you mentioned. I would take this to mean that rather than doflamingo not being affected by having his insides cut up the situation is that doflamingo's strength is so immense that he can continue fighting at that level even after law's attack. All he did there was emergency treatment which saved his life but healing for real should have taken more time. Luffy did go through some fights but he never took anything as bad as law's blade to his organs. He was just tired. Contrary to doflamingo whose insides probably looked like a sloppy joe.

I don't see how the fight with lucci is anywhere near similar to his fight with doflamingo. Lucci seemed strong at the time but he never seemed anywhere near as unbeatable as doflamingo. What we saw doflamingo do is basically easily and instantly own sanji, own law with only minor trouble repeatedly, then after taking a few serious attacks from law he was still easily able to own gear 2 and 3 luffy. The battle against doflamingo was an insane battle of attrition where doflamingo took an insane amount of damage before luffy could do anything. If luffy had fought doflamingo in the same circumstances he fought lucci, he would have died 10 times over and still not come out on top. Even if gear 4 would have worked the same against a perfectly healthy doflamingo, (which it probably wouldn't have) luffy would have still lost because it would not be enough to finish off doflamingo and there would be no one to protect him for 10 minutes.

Let's not forget the Birdcage which has to take some toll on DD too. Also since Zoro said the strings were haki enhanced and therefore uncuttable DD covered the entire birdcage constantly with haki.
DD is leagues above luffy and personally I don't see him very far below a Yonkou. Just because of his insane versatility and mastery of his DF.

On topic, since Bellamy is hiding together with the SH's did his chances to join rise?
Personally I think they are hiding him because he was part of the Doflamingo family and that's it but I do have a bad feeling he might tag along.
I don't think the bird cage required aditional effort on his part after making it... It was never said and we never really saw anything that suggested such a thing. Kinda like venderdeken's ability, he didn't require additional effort to move noah which was as large as a city, if not a country. Also, zoro never said the threads were haki clad and uncutable. Well, at least I can't remember zoro saying that. All we saw is that zoro and an admiral could not cut it even with their haki clad swords.

The bird cage worked more like Mr.3's candle service, he just did it and after he didn't need put in effort after, the ability did everything after it was activated.
Yeah Zoro never said such things also Zoro and Fuji never tried to cut the threads they just used haki infused swords to block the cage

Highly doubt it because he's not the kind of character that'd fit in well with the crew. At best, he's barely tolerable. For what reason does he have for sailing with the crew? Why not sail with his own crew?

I think they're hiding him because he's a pirate, but Kyros was with them as well. They're probably giving them a place to recover rather than hiding them. I don't think the Marines will be after the Straw Hats for now, and Bellamy will likely have the crew protecting him.

I am just following what he himself states, why should i doubt it? Besides, that´s a rather biased way to look at it, simply from a point of view that DD has to be that much stronger which is questionable to say the least. Yes, it is not the same way as healing but rather emergency treatment but he also said that Law´s attempt was completely useless in the long run, i see no reason to doubt that. It definitely did not look like a sloppy joe though, the entire reason behind the last panel is to show how Doffy is fixing his organs. It´s not only about Luffy using his attacks, he also got some damage throughout it all and while his injuries were not really on the same level as DD´s injuries, Luffy has no way to recuperate unlike DD. I can only judge the way both looked and what´s been said, both leads to the conclusion that while it should not be disregarded, it was not an immense blow to DD´s fighting capabilities. Look at Luffy here for example before he even started his "duel" against DD, he got a blow several times because he did not even fight Bellamy.

Really? The entire CP9 seemed unbeatable by a mile. Luffy and Zoro looked like children, especially in front of Lucci. Luffy could attack with his pre-gear strongest attacks, the same attack that beat Crocodile in the end, but Lucci stood there like it was nothing, a good parallel to Luffy using pre-G4 attacks against DD, maybe not even that since some of Luffy´s attacks in this arc actually connected compared to fight against Lucci before Enies Lobby. This parallels very well the scene in which Luffy gets attacked by both DD and his doll. And unlike this arc, it was not even only Lucci who seemed that much superior, as seen here, or this, i would be really surprised if this does not speak about absolute superiority here. Heck, Sanji looked better against DD than Luffy and Zoro did against the guys of CP9. At least DD had to block the attack, Lucci just stood there like it´s nothing.
DD owned Law after he fought and used his abilities against an Admiral and DD, right after he told us that he runs out of stamina pretty quickly, no this does not really make DD that superior.
Again, where is this insane amount of damage? We only see Law´s final attack really connect and right after DD stands up like it was nothing. Of course you are free to interpret it like you want but i see no reason to think that it hindered him immensely from fighting, nor is there any panel in which it seems that way. We know for example that if that´s the case, Oda does actually include it, like Sanji vs Vergo for example in which the former was his leg injured and you see while the fight goes on that it hinders him. An an insane amount of attrition where DD took an insane amount of damage? Where does this happen in the manga exactly? 75% of the arc DD sat in his seat waiting for opponents to show up while Luffy fought through the entire island to get there, so i do not see it to be honest.
And my previous statement still stands, DD literally had no chance against G4, whether it was power, speed (he could not even react to Luffy attacking him from a mile away as seen hereor defense (DD more or less attacked him with the same attack he used to cut off Law´s arm but he could not even damage Luffy with that. So yeah, DD is inferior in almost any way when Luffy uses G4. I have to correct my previous statement though, it was not only Vergo vs Tashigi but like seen above, Zoro could do nothing against CP9 with his sword either, at least in the initial fight.
Nevertheless, answering the hypothetical is impossible to do in this constellation, sure, it could be that if DD had been completely "fresh" so to speak, he could have fared much better against Luffy´s G4, to the extent that Luffy would run out of Haki and DD could beat/kill him. I could also make the opposite assumption though, that if Luffy had not used Haki, including Haoushoku, in the tournament where he had a low-mid difficulty fight against Chinjao, after that against Pika´s statue with Grizzly Magnum, then against "indestructible" Toy Soldiers, then against Bellamy where he took several hits, his Haki could have sufficed until DD was beaten.
The only difference in my view to the situation with Lucci is that Luffy needed G2 and partly G3 to even get to fight against Lucci, and it was a more or less equal and balanced fight. Against DD though, Luffy completely overwhelmed him.
I am really looking forward to the fights with the Yonkou.

To be fair though, it doesn't count for much when Luffy couldn't get the job done alone. While in Gear 4, he seemed the superior one but even then it wasn't enough and DD managed to hold him for about 40 mins despite Law's attack on his insides. Afterwards, Luffy ran out of steam completely and couldn't even fight much less use Haki and had they been in a one of one fight, it would have been DD's win.

I don't think it is fair to marginalize Luffy's achievements just because he wasn't able to get the job done alone considering the fact that most of us already knew Doflamingo is an insanely strong Devil Fruit user to begin with whom could possibly challenge a Marine Admiral. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember many people on this forum initially thought Luffy and Law didn't stand much of a chance against Doflamingo individually. Some even made claims that when Luffy finally received the opportunity to fight Doflamingo that he would struggle as much as he did against Lucci which turned out to be somewhat true. Luffy's performance against Doflamingo with Law's assistance was excellent in my opinion considering the prior knowledge we already possessed about Doflamingo's fighting prowess.

Yep, that is correct of course but like i said, we will never know how it would have went down if both were fresh from the get-go.

Well that's mostly up to individual opinion. DD surely would have had more stamina but Luffy likely also would have had more time with Gear 4. It would be a question of if Luffy could defeat him in the time Gear 4 remains active which we really have no way of knowing.
