Yeah this came out a few years ago.Oda drew all the Shichibukai as kids.

I've seen that he drew the Executives from Doflamingo Family in this recent volume release (#80). I hope we get to see SH fleet captains at some point. At this point we'd seen most of the characters I'm interested in in their chibi version, so this would be current icing.

I don't see him doing the yonkou for a very long time yet; there's still too much mystery around the characters there.

Concerning the executives as children, Machvise already had a tail back then. I wonder if it's part of his costume, or maybe he's a mink hybrid.

Baby Kaido would be pretty interesting. I bet he was already gigantic as a kid compared to normal sized humans.Also there's the fact that Oda still needs to properly introduce Big Mom. We only had a partial shot of her, and her silhouette. So it won't happen in a very long time.

Aw, really? To me he looks really sad and hurt, as if someone made fun of him/his dream or something like that, he even has a tear in the corner of his eye and he's squeezing his fist as if he were saying "one day I'll show 'em...".

That picture alone got me more hyped regarding his backstory.

I saw that with Machvise. I hadn't considered that he was a hybrid, considering we've not met any besides Big Pan who is a Wotan. I think he could go that way, but from what I gethered from AP,is that Oda is apparently done with the chibis, although I'm not sure.
We still having seen Fujitora as a child, same for Ryokugyu whom we still haven't seen either. The SHs allies of course...there's still a few things he can do.

Yeah I think so but I really like those. They can be entertaining and we can even speculate about a few things like recently with Machvise. Another series that I like is the gender swapped one, but it's just entertaining and not that informative.

Maybe if Oda is feeling generous enough we can just more character details, such as height, weight, food preferences and such; I like those.

Oh yeah, actually here's an interesting bit of information featured in the SBS for volume 79

D: In the Straw Hat Crew, Sanji is obviously the one who is the best at cooking, but who else is good at cooking? What is everyone's speciality dish?

Sanji is the best at cooking seafood, but he is overall good at making just about anything. Also, this has to do with how these characters grew up, but generally the ones other than Sanji who can actually do some decent cooking would be narrowed down to pretty much Nami, Usopp, and Robin.

Other members can pretty much just kind of slice, roast, and mix ingredients.

Oh, also, Nami's cooking requires a premium fee even among crew members.

So the ones who are good at cooking other than Sanji are Nami, Usopp and Robin.

Yep, this is what I was referring to in my post above about character preferences and stats. I loved the small details Oda adds that tie in characters; as you can see with Law+ Corazon and their dislike of bread.

Thanks guys, for sharing.

I always like the SBS as it gives little personal info of the characters. These info aren't necessarily important but they serves as spices or flavouring that make the dish/food tastes better.

Somehow in manga, people are always in the extremes - very tall/big/fat/kind, or very short/small/skinny/cruel, so on and so forth. I particularly like the chibi looks. The big heads and small bodies make them look very cute.

As for Blackbeard, for Oda to draw him in the manner of looking sad, perhaps he is trying to hint us of Blackbeard's childhood. Recall many characters, protagonists and antagonists alike, they always appear to have a sad or unpleasant beginning.

Oda likes to give little hints here and there, it is as if he is playing hide and seek with his readers. I find it very entertaining. hehe

I was re-reading the chapters from the NW on the holdays.

Well, some points from those readings regading te current arc:

1 - To lose limbs is not so uncommon. Law losed an arm when he fought against Doflamingo. Jack may be bloodthirst, but we saw it in a minor scale.
2 - More islands aligned with pirates than with WG. FI with BM, Punk Hazard with DP, Dressrosa with DP too (well, DP is a pirate and a sichi, so it's kind hard to define). Zou so far hasnt'show to be unde the guard of anyone, and this would be pretty cool.
3 - Smiles. We started to talk about it on PH arc and now is the time to see how they do fight (ok, we saw it a bit) and what are their weakness. I do belive that Cesar will have a keyhole to explain it.
4 - Beast Pirates. I really would love if Jack was really killed by Fujitora, and got pardoned by Akainu (on terms of bounties, Jack is equal to Luffy + Law). But if the guy isn't dead, please, let's see the Beast Pirates on full force, or in this arc or in the next.
5 - Big Mom pirates. So far, the weirdest crew from the Yonkous, with a long leged man, a mink, and what the hell may be BM herself, Bobbins and the eyed girl. Would love to see how they do operate
6 - A real clash between the emperors. It was said that they fight for territories, right? so please, show me this.

Like ladylola said we haven't seen enough of BB to judge him, to be fair I also think we never saw the Gura-Gura no Mi being used to its full extent, seeing as we only saw it in action on Marineford and WH was already "dying".
Nonetheless, it wouldn't surprise me if BB's use ended up being "stronger" and more devastating than WB's, namely because BB is all about being "evil" and destruction and such.

Whitebeard could've sinked Marineford if he wanted to, but he didn't because he wanted to save Ace, he had his friends there, etc. Whereas Blackbeard, well, this is what he was able to do shortly after absorbing WB's DF:

I mean we only saw him use the fruit right after he got it, and he still dealt quite some damage. Like with pretty much any DF you need time to master it, some of the best users have been using theirs for quite some time, which puts them above some of the lesser DF users because they're not able to draw all the potential from their DF.
So yeah I wouldn't be surprised if in the future we saw BB become as good as ol'Whitebeard, simply because he needs time to master his DF and learn how to use it properly.
