Did Egghead really begin in 2022? That's crazy. I hate time.

Time? Not the slow pace of the story, horrible release schedule and poor plot so far?

I think main point of the Egghead arc was to get the world questioning the Government more in light of homes getting flooded and Lulusia getting blown up.

So it was more for the world than for the audience, but Oda still threw in some bones for us like elaborating on Nika being of Elbaf, Joy Boy attempting to pass on the Ancient Weapons, and some cool fight panels.

I figured Vegapunk wouldn’t be elaborating on anything like the Will of D., since that’s most likely for Laugh Tale, so I’m pretty satisfied all things considered.

So that all in mind, I’d say this arc is just about wrapped up, and that Oda will now proceed to Elbaf to further elaborate on Nika, as well as showcase the Elbaf women there of course.

I wonder if the region where Lulusia used to be also has the permanent sunshine of Enies Lobby, or if the permanent sunshine was from something totally unrelated from Uranos.

Interesting if it does, considering Uranos's connection to the sky and being powered by motherflame which is described as an incomplete version of the power of the sun. And then there's the Nika of it all.

Those old Impel Down = Tower of Babel theories aren't looking too shabby in concept now. It'd be fitting if the WG turned a tower to the heavens granting freedom of movement to outer space and beyond into their ultimate prison in the depths. Would really fit what we know now.

It's implied most people don't even know about God Valley. Presumably because there wasn't a Vegapunk to blow their spot up days after they wiped out an island. They successfully gaslit all but the people who were there last- it was an unaffiliated kingdom therefore it's safe to assume it may have been pretty isolated as well.

God valley was said to be wiped of the map but IMO it's unlikely it was nuked by uranus. The implication is that the gorosei haven't had the mother flame available for a while and their apparent larger goal is to sink the goal further... I think it's far more likely that god valley was destroyed simply because of the sheer power held by the people fighting there. At the time it's fair to estimate IMO that xebex was a yonko level fighter and odds are that roger and whitebeard didn't fall all that behind. On top of that you had big mom who was probably not at her prime but still powerful enough. She already had her devil fruit which would hit like a truck even without the user being yonko level... You also ha scopper and rayleigh who are pretty much heavyweights. All things considered rayleigh at least got to yonko level at some point considering that even in his old age he could match borsalino. on the marine side you had garp along with who knows who else... The royal knights are unknowns but the implication so far is that they are monsters as well, strong enough to give the RA pause. It's unlikely but it's feasible the gorosei were involved as well. Add to that all the unknown rocks elements. With that many top tier fighters at play an islan sinking into the ocean isn't that weird a development...

Crazy thought I had was if Uranus is always in the sky then what if the WG had it parked above Enies Lobby, very high in the sky, maybe even above Red Line height, and EL is the last place it the weapon was used. The weapon itself could give off a natural sunlight so if just left in one place it keeps it in permanent daylight. Think that could be an interesting way to explain both the constant day and the hole.

We may soon learn that Enies Lobby for the first time ended up getting night when the Lulusia incident happened. Considering Imu and Gorosei said they needed to test it somewhere close by and Enies Lobby being right by Marijoise, it would be a great place to keep it hidden but close enough to defend if someone comes after it.

So at this point, I’m thinking a lot of what Vegapunk said will be followed-up on in the background while the Elbaf arc is going on. The next arc after that is when I think the Straw Hats will become more directly involved, likely with Blackbeard and Cross Guild, as well as intervene with Fish-Man Island and Wano again. He also might possibly be really solidifying the final crew at that point too.

If that’s Oda’s game plan, then it doesn’t sound like a bad one, does it?

It's definitely excruciating right now but I really can't wait to see how this whole arc reads years down the line when we're eyeballs deep in whatever Void Month Final Arc shit that's going down. I remember a lot of the last parts of WCI were very much as excruciating as this but have been largely forgiven after Wano kinda overshadowed it with the insane pacing problems of Onigashima.

It's out and except at the beginning, the only reactions are from people who are there. It's an action chapter through-and-through, and we just got a setup for what will probably be a big upset against a powerful enemy in the next chapter.

I like her Dressrosa outfit best actually, but yeah most of the rest of her post-timeskip look has not been high up there for me. And Egghead is the worst (to me), sadly.

I think it’s pretty likely at this point that Carrot and Yamato were placed where they were largely because of Blackbeard.

Caribou tells Blackbeard about the weapons, and then decides to get one of his own after hearing Vegapunk’s broadcast and contemplating the strong likelihood of the Government having one too.

Blackbeard then invades Wano, Yamato trying to fend Blackbeard off and Carrot leading a charge to help as back up, but inevitably fail, which is where Luffy comes in.

Because unless one wants to make the claim that Yamato and Carrot would defeat Blackbeard without Luffy’s help, then yeah, Luffy is getting involved. Might lead into the all-out Straw Hats vs. Blackbeard Pirates too.

Well he wouldn't need to invade Zou.

The Minks are like brothers to the Kozuki family, so Carrot, depending on her role, would likely be willing to lead reinforcements upon getting word of Blackbeard's attack and help out as best she could.
