O, I‘m not a stranger to these things either. Guess it all tracks back to my childhood but well in the end it‘s really simple as you phrased out so niceley. I think the main problem is people sometimes subtly sometimes openly violating the rules of open and healthy communication. It‘s either they don‘t know how it works or they simply try to let off steam or try to raise their own self esteem by diminishing others. I guess the healthiest way is to step back or simply ignore whenever someone tries to engage you in these kind of discussions. Just don‘t let the toxicity get to you. And yes it‘s surely much easier said than done.
I think it would help if I was surrounded more by people actually engaging in conversation out of being a fun pastime rather than as a cynical competition. Thanks again for being there for me Kuro!

Watching the new episode really makes me wonder why Kuma didn't end up betraying the WG once Bonney became a pirate and went out to sea. Once Bonney became Jewlery Bonney a wanted pirate it would have been easy for him to no longer honor his side of the deal and take Bonney and disappear. With his powers he would be pretty impossible to ever really capture since he could send himself & Bonney flying if there is a grave emergency. It's also not like there was no place for him to be protected since he could have gone back to the Revos or joined up under a Yonko like Shanks. Kind of feels forced that Kuma didn't even try to make contact with Bonney when on Saobody and leave with her.

Probably because Sorbet Kingdom would have been blown to smithereens.

So this arc seems to be playing out like Fish-Man Island in how Luffy isn’t really fighting until after the big flashback is told. However, this seems to be a lot more troublesome than Fish-Man Island’s enemies, since only two Straw Hats can use Conqueror’s Haki at this point, and possibly Loki. That’s not even accounting or all the tricky powers they have.

Gunko Imu also managed to outspeed Gaban, with Gaban not being able to strike Gunko Imu in time before forfeiting, so this is more hectic than Rayleigh vs. Kizaru as well.

The fact Sorbet Kingdom wasn't blown to smithereens long ago is itself kinda silly. The second Kuma overthrew the king, that place should've been Buster Called working by the story's own logic about buccaneers.

Fair point they could have threatened him with the lives of everyone else since he had a ton of value as their test subject.

Well Sorbet is not the only kingdom to overthrow a king. It happened with Revo help in many other places too so from WG point of view it probably would stretch them too thin and get a ton of backlash if they wiped every place that did that. Also was never clear if Kuma becoming king officially left the WG either. Using espionage and other means to help a coup and get the kingdom back under their rule makes more sense. Besides if they did target just Sorbet and not other places with overthrown kings, it would draw even more attention on Kuma and his potential lineage.

The anime today was good.
I guess Kuma will not die and will regain his memories.
There was a scene where he looked at his memories and said "so this is my life" when he pushed a copy out for Vegapunk to store - the one Bonney jumped into.
It symbolises his humanity.

I think Kuma will regain his memories to prove that as much as science can prove and understand things, there are things that exceed science. Being human. Even without his memories, he somehow instinctively ran to save Bonney - something science can't explain.
Good episode.

Including theoretical alliances, how many of these Conqueror’s Haki users could you reasonably see going up against a Holy Knight?:

Shanks
Rayleigh
Hancock
Doflamingo
Chinjao
Katakuri
Yamato

If by going up against holy knights you mean use/learn cladding to even the playing field against them I would think any of them except doflamigo and chinjao. Chinjao because he is already too old and doflamingo because I don't think he has it in him to be among the strongest few that can use cladding. Doflamingo is strong and intelligent to his credit however I think his overall power puts him in the middle of the pack of most yonko executives. Give or take depending on the crew. I don't see him winning against kaido's all stars or big mom's sweet commanders. Let alone the very strong implication that WB's and Shank's executives were stronger than kaido's and big mom's overall. Yamato already has cladding and can hold her ground against kaido so it wouldn't be weird if she already had it in her to defeat a knight. Hancock and katakuri learning this sounds reasonable all things considered.

Yeah, Chinjao is prob too old. Then again, age doesn't exactly stop people from being useful in this manga. lol

As for Doflamingo, I'm sure Oda would get use out of him too, worst comes to worst. He hates the Celestial Dragons too for abandoning him, so he'd take any chance he could get to go against them.

Stamina is consistently framed as an issue for people above 70 here.

I suppose he has no love for them though his ultimate goal was apparently to use the ope fruit to switch places with imu. Dead tenryubito can't serve him. I don't think doflamingo has it in him to use cladding but for what it's worth his ability is probably pretty good for fighting god knights. Restraining and controlling if he gets a chance...

Sounds fair enough.

Honestly, I guess all this just makes me more hyped for Yamato's comeback with Luffy. She and Zoro, along with Luffy, were shown to be the ones most capable of damaging Kaido, so she'd prob be one of the most helpful Conqueror's users against Imu's Holy Knights, Five Elders, and other black magic demons.

I daresay that by the time yamato reunites with the strawhats sanji will have advanced his conqueror haki where yamato isn't THAT big an addition. Which is not to say yamato won't be important against god knights later on. I still think the most likely scenario is that yamato will form a crew with the remnants of the beast pirates all things considered. Add to that, yamato likely does not know crap about navigation so experienced beastmen pirates are her best bet to get out of the island.

As a sidenote, I think this arc is setting the strawhats for a bit of a training arc. Even luffy who is capable of cladding has been unable to use his power yet to harm imu's followers. Zoro can't use conqueror haki consciously yet. Sanji is an unknown. Meanwhile jinbe and the rest of the strawhats got mostly soloed by gunko. All strawhats need a big powerboost. The top tier ones to advance their conqueror haki enough and the lesser strawhats to actually be worth something as yonko executives. I suppose franky and nami can get by with technological advancements but I can't fathom ussop, chopper and brook getting by without haki. I don't think there's a single yonko executive out there those 3 could even give trouble to, let alone defeat. If ussop was to face van auger right now all van auger would have to do is warp behind him and shot him in the head. Zero effort. Robin does not seem to be a haki user but for some unfathomable reason is strong so there's that at least...

This also plays into the timer that is going on in the plot and will run out soonish.

They got "soloed" due to trickery. One might as well say that Mr. 3 is stronger than a giant simply because he used trickery to attack Brogy with his wax, or Usopp when he used trickery to take down a giants at Enies Lobby. lol

I also, as said before, don't give a crap about Sanji power scaling, but as long as Yamato gets to join, then whatever.

And as for those Beast Pirate remnants, it makes me wonder if Blackbeard goes there, that if those remnants would decide to join Blackbeard, once he goes there for Pluton. If Blackbeard is trying to reclaim his dad's legacy, then they would surely be useful to him.

There was no trickery involved in what gunko did to them. Gunko faced them head on.

The basis of the BB pirates is aligned interests... If BB sticks to this then you'd think he would need a mutual interest he shares with a force as substantial as the remnants of the beast pirates to join him, otherwise he'd be rescuing them for free. I think yamato taking them makes more sense overall.

With a creative power instead of muscle, yep.

I dunno, Blackbeard has already accumulated a lot of persuasiveness with the crew he has built up and riches he seems to have promised, even if those guys don’t care if he died.

Gunko must also be fast and strong enough to be able to do what she did. Immortality is obviously an important power for god knights but the only one to land a hit on gunko was ussop and as far as I can tell it was an attack she didn't bother to dodge. Otherwise even jinbe didn't land a hit on her.

BB's crew is a bit like old rocks... a bunch of folk that without common interests would rather kill each other for fun than share a room. Meanwhile the yonko have mostly built their crews around different ideals. Kaido built his crew around his member's respect for his strength (or something like that), big mom built it around her family. WB distinctly spoke against having a crew like rocks when oden asked to join him. I don't doubt the potential usefulness of kaido's former crewmates but they are unlikely to feel about BB as they felt about kaido and BB probably would be wary of keeping volatile people around that he has little control over.

I just can’t downplay Jinbe’s strengths because of what happened with Gunko. I truly speak with no powerscaling agenda in that what happened with Jinbe was honestly beyond his control. If that had happened with Zoro, I would have said the same thing. Even Zoro was tied up with Usopp and Brook in that cage back at Fish-Man Island, so I’m sure I’m within reason to say this.

But anyways, how much can we speculate as to what Blackbeard is trying to do based on the revelation of him being the son of Xebec?

Quite interesting if it is found out that Blackbeard Devil fruit also has the ability to nullify physical strength or so.
