They definitely tamped down Sanji's obsessiveness with women. So far he and Usopp are my favored portrayals in the live action. I think they captured the essence of their characters the best.

They will definitely cut that joke...maybe do a variation on it instead. And hard agree, I actually feel he makes Luffy seem creepy more than just a fun/dumb guy. The way he stares in moments that are supposed to capture Luffy's more intense moments are just a weird. I also haven't liked Zoro much, he is just too aloof. Zoro may not be bombastic or anything but the way the live action portrays him its like he is just a robot...even when he is mad he seems subdued.
I’m really liking Sanji and Usopp in the LA. They dialed down Sanji’s pervyness and all of Usopp’s annoying qualities. It’s nice to be able to not just sigh whenever Usopp comes on screen.

I think they actually improved Zoro a bit. The Mihawk being in his head thing was pretty cool.

Luffy is just not Luffy though. Not enough laughing, and when there is laughing, it feels off. Also, his “I’m going to be king of the pirates!” shout is just not good. 10/10 for looks, 7/10 for fight scenes, but 2/10 for voice and personality.

Yeah def agree on the Sanji and Usopp bit. For Zoro I think the Mihawk parts are interesting and do add a layer of his obsession with the goal but the way the actor plays Zoro I think is too detached/emotionless. Zoro is a more serious character but not aloof which is my main complaint.Luffy is just not right to me.

But honestly its hard to judge a lot of this. It's really hard to do a live action of comics/anime etc without it coming off as campy & weird, especially if you try to make it accurate to the source material in a literal sense. The OP show right now reminds me a lot of the old superhero movies from the 90s.

Wonder if the LA is trying to hard to throw fan bait out. Just in the first 15 minutes already seeing signs in loguetown name dropping Manmayer and Figarland.

Not that fanservice isn’t appreciated…

I think they are trying to build a world bigger than the very narrow scope of what’s happening to the Strawhats and what Oda has thought up at the time it was written than we usually get in the anime and manga.

We know a lot more about what is going to suddenly become a thing much later, and would have been shown if Oda had thought of it yet.

Also, there’s a decent chance we won’t even get to a lot of the things they’re dropping in, so it’s nice to have them in the show in someway.

There’s nothing for him to do at Wano now. He’s most likely going to join Cross Guild.

And they don’t know that Pluton is stored there, so they have no reason to go there.

That’s the thing, what if he ends up going to Wano with Cross Guild

But why would Cross Guild go to Wano? They would go if they knew Pluton was there, but they aren’t the ones the Caribou told about it.

And tbh, I kind of feel like the samurai have been through enough. Do they really need to get embarrassed even further by Mihawk breaking all of their swords with his knife while he just casually strolls around?

Also, Moria likes Wano, so I doubt he would back a Cross Guild invasion. And it would have to be an invasion, because Wano is firmly allied with the Strawhats now, and Momo and Yamato won’t let a rival Yonko crew wander in.

Moriah doesn't need to go to Wano. It's just a small bit of dramatic irony Oda added to his character. He's ashamed to show his face on the island, not knowing that the people of Wano venerate him as a hero, despite his failure to stop Kaido.

Moriah is going to return and he's likely to join Cross Guild, but I highly doubt we'll see a resolution to that little off-screen character arc. And Cross Guild has no narrative reason to go Wano. Fate works for Buggy and basically gives him all he needs along the way. So if Buggy gets Pluton, it'll be because Momo and the gang left Wano with it and they happen upon him first.

I can see a very slim narrative window of Moria and Cross Guild targeting the Blackbeard Pirates and following them to Wano, possibly resulting in them ending up with Pluton.

For the moment, I think Shirohoshi would be the easiest target for Blackbeard and the gang. Wano requires too many aspects for them to get Pluton, including Momo's permission and Zunesha's aid. They can just plop on over and whisk Shirohoshi away with minimal resistance.

Shirohosi would definitely be easier to obtain, but she’d also be way harder to use. Pluton can just be piloted, Shirohosi has to he convinced to use her powers.

And Blackbeard is a Yonko. He could take Wano if he wanted to. Yamato, Momo, and the Scabbards can’t hold off a Yonko crew on their own.

Shirohoshi being harder to use is exactly why I think he would get her. If everything comes down to Luffy, Blackbeard, and Imu, then all of them would have access to Ancient Weapons, but would not be able to utilize them as they should. It'll be a stalemate on that front.

Blackbeard could take Wano, but we know that Pluton cannot be accessed without Zunesha and Zunesha will do whatever they need to do without Momo's permission. So even if he has Wano, he wouldn't have use of Pluton. Plus, Blackbeard likes to go for easy wins. He and his crew would be able to take on the Samurai, but they also may deem it too risky an endeavour.

I just don’t see a scenario where Shirohosi uses her Poseidon powers against her will. Anyone that could be held hostage to try and force her into it would kill themselves while telling her to order the sea kings to attack the hostage takers. Hers is a power that requires her consent to utilize, and no one but Luffy is going to get that. (Or maybe Loki if it turns out she’s actually the one he’s been talking too.)

I’m also pretty sure that Blackbeard could break open Wano with the Quake fruit.

Moria has a connection to Wano and Crocodile wants Pluton.

They don't even need to attack Wano. And the Straw Hat connection would actually work to Buggy's favor since the newspapers talked as if Buggy is a mastermind who was helping Luffy trying to save Ace, someone Yamato admires.

Tonix I know. you might disagree, but if Yamato is going to join the Straw Hats sooner rather than later, then it doesn't hurt to speculate all these scenarios that will help get her off of Wano sooner.

Moria has a connection to Wano, Cross Guild has no idea that Pluton is hidden in Wano, and Wano wouldn’t let Cross Guild take Pluton, so even if they found out Pluton is there, it would have to be a fight, which Moria wouldn’t sign off on.

I hope Yamato does join the crew some day, but as long as she and Momo are on Wano, I don’t think anyone is taking the island. People sleep on just how strong Yamato is.

She also would kind of fuck up the power rankings of the crew, so it’s going to take Zoro and Sanji getting some power ups for her to be able to join. (Kind of the same problem Loki has tbh.)

Post-Katakuri Luffy went full on balls out against Kaido and then got one shot and sent to training arc jail. Yamato was strong enough to trade several blows with Kaido. She was stronger than Luffy at the start of the Wano arc, and is probably still stronger than Zoro and Sanji.

Given how Jinbe is #3 and even fisted down Lucci after Zoro failed to defeat him, the power rankings don’t mean like one thinks they might. In fact, they prob mean nothing. lol

The botting has ruined the current popularity poll. What a waste.

On one hand, it's funny to see how pressed people are about the poll. On the other hand, it's concerning how pressed people are about the poll.
