I'm obviously talking about direct cause and effect in relation to Imu's chosen actions and not "well to find the first domino, you have to create the universe". I've never really been an Ussop fan before but between all the hate he's gotten this arc and the absurd lack of credit he's given are kinda making me root for him like I never have. Y'all crazy.
This is not really any Ussop hate, this is just what happened. Imu's subordinates start losing, Joyboy MK2 and Nidhogg beat and trap his host body, so he decides to go there in person, since he is clearly losing Elbaph. I'm sure he did not appreciate being called a coward by Ussop, but that clearly is not the main reason he is there.
Also, the Strawhat who doesn't get the credit he deserves is Chopper. The man (deer) does medical miracles in the middle of a war but since he isn't Super Sayan 4 Ultra bankai Limit Release and is also like a masxcot, people say he does nothing.
oddly enough, loki doesn't seem to have any 'endgame goals', unlike his brother Hajrudin who has a clearly laid out dream of uniting the giants (that now kinda makes sense given his upbringing). loki just seems to want to protect Elbaf and its people, similar to how Yamato embodies the guardian deity of his people too. i don't think either are "joining the Strawhats" because of their places in the story, the power level thing just informs that narrative direction Oda made
i do think loki and luffy will have a major disagreement at some point about something that may recreate whatever falling out nidhogg's previous user had with joyboy or whomever
I'm still putting my stocks on fishman island. WIth the weird way fate bulldozes forward in the story the prediction that luffy will destroy fishman island will likely come to fruition. Add to that the possibility of loki's friend being shirahoshi.
Hmm, I still don't think it's all because of Usopp. I feel like if Imu would be soo offended by his words he would deffinetly get to him as fast as possible to punish him. Currently Imu is soo invested in fight against Loki (and soon enough also Luffy) he probably don't remember one "pest" who dared to call him coward. Well, I'm half joking but I'm honestly not sure if Imu remember which year it is if he keeps talking over Loki while FIGHTING Loki. Dude should put at least little bit of respect on threat he decided to solve HIMSELF.
Btw, I was quoting end of Avengers. I didn't watched it for quite a while but I vividly remember Thanos had his "Fine, I'll do it myself." moment in post-credits scene. Also yeah, his fellas looked dangerous but really sucked in the end. You know, since Thanos really had (and could) do everything himself. And he was dealing with just Earth which wasn't even very advanced compared to every other planets he conquered. Guess he overlooked "us" too much.
Ok, we get it. But it's also not like Usopps insult put in Imus head the idea that he should make a move himself. I can deffinetly see Imu making that decision even without Usopps "input" simply because situation in Elbaf turned rather dire for him and success of his plan. At the moment when Usopp confronted Imu he didn't seem interested in showing up, did he. Imu literally thought he still have everything under control but once it turned out Nidhogg/Loki, Nika/Luffy and Ragnir are around and actually are smashing his plan into pieces and even can't be controled he decided to intervene. After all from Imus perspective Usopps stunt was like ant screaming at elephant.
No offence but did you really have to put this THAT way? 🫢
But yeah, just because Zoro and Sanji are supposed to be those "wings" it dosen't mean other strong characters dosen't fit the picture. Jimbe alongside Brook have the most pirat experience so they can still guide and aid their younger crew mates in certain situations.

Well indeed, as I said, due to things like Jinbe having fist that pussycat where Zoro couldn’t, and Jinbe being part of Luffy’s Big 3 for his fisting mighty prowess and such.

Maybe it's just me but man, your comments sounds "sus". You must be really bored during this break if you use such "colorful" language. Well, to be honest me too. I know Oda have hectic schedule and deserve every break he can get but getting only 1 chapter every second week still sucks badly. We will literally get 2 chapters this month. It sting espesially after fact that Oda was basicaly spoiling us by making three chapters and then taking a break.

Hmm, actually. How many episodes before anime will go on break? I'm not watching newest ones but I feel like that break is about to happen.
@AmyRose I'm not trying to take anything away from Zoro and Sanji by the way. I understand people like their dynamics like Tweedledee and Tweedledum, or The Three Stooges. But I also don't want to take anything away from Jinbe who's more than established as extremely strong and even almost died for Luffy after he held back Akin at Marineford. To downplay that otherwise would be knowingly disrespectful, and likely even biased. Even to this day, people fight over "Wings" due to Jinbe and that's very sad to see if you ask me. I gladly welcome Jinbe with open arms as one of Luffy's top fighters, and I'll be doing the same for Yamato when she joins back as well.

Oh, I wasn't offended or anything. I honestly was just bored and thought your comment was funny, although a bit "sus". I like their dynamics too. It's just people who are like: "Oh no, he's/she's too strong. They shouldn't join because power hierarchy will be ruined." annoy me. I don't give a crap about that, I like seeing some new relations and interactions between members. That's why I like soo much the idea that Loki should join somehow. I know how Strawhats are, you know it, everyone know it, so since Loki was through some shit (just like every single Strawhat member) I think being around them would be beneficial for him. You know, because they don't judge and can accept just about anyone as long as they aren't straight up evil. And Loki isn't evil, he's just like Megamind (I once heard that comparison somewhere): soo villainized ever since he was born that he had no other choice than just accept it even though it's not really him. So yeah, if we ignore his size and mayby power level he would fit right in among the Strawhats.

She's simply telling you to have some etiquette.
You wouldn't talk like that in front of your mother or sister (hopefully).
And if you have a daughter, you wouldn't want her male friends or colleagues speaking that way around her.
This forum isn't all dudes, so at least take that into consideration because that's a very crass way of speaking.
Even if this is the Internet, at least show some decency.

I don't think he's saying Usopp was the main reason.
Luffy and Loki being Nika and Nidhogg respectively along with the situation in the Holy Land are the main reason.
We can't say Usopp's words didn't have an impact, was it the main reason? Definitely not an insult from some pleb, but sometimes, when someone has an ego, a relatively small insignificant thing can be blown out of proportion and emotionally also become a motivator.
There is the objective fact that he needs to take down Nika, Nidhogg and shift the balance of power which is 100% why he is there irrespective of what anyone says. But the ego can also be quite vulnerable to emotional jabs... and Usopp's provocation may have also fuelled his need to actually come to Elbaph as himself.
If you're taking an exam, you know you have to pass... but someone saying something negative might also give that extra emotional urgency to really perform well... so there is the objective fact and we can't say there isn't an emotional motivation too especially since Usopp did pretty much call him a coward.
When someone you deem inferior actually says something that is true, while you can ignore it for the sole reason Usopp is irrelevant, that very fact in itself can make the jab all the more annoying.
I think they do that because oldest episodes look outdated and may discourage new people from watching. But yeah, I also think it's little weird but I guess One Piece deserve remake. At least first arcs.
the weird thing to me is using mayumi tanaka for it. that's uh... not exactly future-proofing the project, unless they fully intend to only do east blue with a hard stop

Yeah, it's not really certain that she will be able to do Luffy until the end of Toei One Piece so she deffinetly won't be able to work as VA for Witt One Piece. I bet Witt One Piece won't be as long as Toei ver, I even suspect that at best it may only reach Arabasta arc and then it will end.
