Ground Rules for the Power Level Discussion Thread

As always, please follow the guidelines set by the Forum Rules that apply across the board.

It's important that discussions from a current chapter are spoiler tagged until 24h have passed from an english release.

• For the sake of constructive discussion, where and when possible please quote/ source any information you provide. Particularly when it comes to conversations carried over from other threads.
• Avoid passive agressive posts, sly remarks or baiting/trolling. You can certainly have fun or disagree without it being at someone's expense.
• Only use anime examples that are canon and as means to provide clarity to pages in the manga. Any other anime material is otherwise non-canon and should only be referenced if it can be proved that the mangaka had approved it.
• We will strive to avoid repetitive discussions and any extensive battle topics will be guided to the Davy Back fight to existing threads or new ones can be made there.

As of now these topics are shelved due to repetitiveness or until the manga can present us with material to further discussions:

If you wish to continue any of these discussion and remove it from the list, you will need to provide manga material as proof. If there's also anything you think we've covered numerous times, let me know and I'll update the list.

This is the only warning there'll be regarding these ground rules, anything no adhering will be removed. So please just check your posts before posting them.

no one is bashing Sanji. You are being confronted with facts and don't know how to counter them properly so you immediately assume we are belittling Sanji when the fat remains that a week is a long time for someone to recover in the OP verse unless they are killed

Never said you were bashing, this just what was stated in facts and context. Why Oda push this narrative if he wanted PO back and why didn't he use it same for other enemies? It was more important to take out PO since he is one of the top tiers in Kaido's crew as an T6H/Numbers member. I am countering you right now and it's not that I see belittling, it's just evidence. Since we never seen full fight of Roger and WB, do we belittle on Roger or WB cause we never seen results or how strong they truly are. Oda off-screen a lot of stuff. You can't be spoon-fed every time to know what happen. He want readers to understand and see for ourselves to know what happen than need to write for every panel in detail to get point across.

Oda just operates like this and he did same with PO. It's not hard to understand. Just because I disagree with you, doesn't mean someone salty to you. Just stating obvious facts on how Oda does his writing.

Now I'm going to ask you one silly question: Do you know what it means when two people are said to "be equals?" I mean, you'd think it's something everyone would know but I guess you can't be too sure. HP was on point afterall, lol.

I also recall Kaido was called the world's strongest creature even when whitebered was still alive. Since you love your titles, does this then mean Kaido was stronger than whitebeared? Cause last time I checked, the word 'Creature" is all encompassing, meaning even humans falls under creatures. How do you reconcile this?

Absolutely BUT Roger fails to show that equality, everything is going against him except manga saying that they were equal.
How can he be equal when in one clash that we see his opponent is holding back his greatest power?

Those two titles are not in conflict. Kaido is not a man so he isnt bothered by Whitebeard's title while WB falls under Kaido's title.
Also, I dont know if Kaido was called WSC while WB was alive or after. Any source for that?

There is nothing obvious about your "facts" a week is plenty of time for a NW veteran to heal. Not that its 100% just that you need to be open to the possibility that we may see him again and its shouldnt come as a shock "IF" he does.

The real question you all need to be asking yourselves is "how is Nik's "reasoning" more believable than Sengoku, Garp's, Akainu's, Buggy's, the entire WG, even Shiki's

Roger was so powerful that the WG attempted to kill a pregnant woman and a baby to ensure his blood never saw the world again. Not a SINGLE person has disputes Roger's standing. Holy shit even Shiki felt insulted when he heard Roger was "captured" by the WG because Roger could have never been captured by them. Akainu himself respects the title of Pirate King by using the fact that Whitebeard couldn't achieve it as an insult.

Another issue.

The WG attempted to kill Rogue and Ace because Ace was Roger's offspring

Where as Whitebeard's "Offspring" Weevil is given the title of Shichibukai.

If Nik's reasoning is to believed, why was only Roger's offspring too dangerous to live but Whitebeard's offspring allowed to join the WG? There were equal right?????????????

Ace was offered the Shichibukai position BEFORE the WG knew he was Roger's offspring as Sengoku states it was too late to get to Ace because Whotebeard was protecting him.

Imagine how powerful Roger had to have been for an entire government to want to kill a baby lol

There is nothing obvious about your "facts" a week is plenty of time for a NW veteran to heal. Not that its 100% just that you need to be open to the possibility that we may see him again and its shouldnt come as a shock "IF" he does.

Yet Oda hasn't shown him and shown Holdem and Kamazou who already got up before him especially the latter who isn't even Zoan. If healing factor was that good he would been active by now and Oda would have him show up before them, but has shown nothing of him being active or even hint he is alive. I do open to it, but I haven't seen a clue that said he is active. Being off-screen doesn't mean there more to it as it's just Oda doing that to everyone to off-screen to keep arc at good pace since many complain pacing issues prior before, didn't they?

Again will try to think on that, but don't be surprise if he is like Cracker and won't come back given time later on and was defeated which explains why Drake was angry about Sanji and why there increase an desperate search for Stealth Black/Soba-Mask afterwards.

Crackers situation is different. The BM chase went down the next day! Cracker may have healed given a week like Page 1 is able to.
