Ground Rules for the Power Level Discussion Thread

As always, please follow the guidelines set by the Forum Rules that apply across the board.

It's important that discussions from a current chapter are spoiler tagged until 24h have passed from an english release.

• For the sake of constructive discussion, where and when possible please quote/ source any information you provide. Particularly when it comes to conversations carried over from other threads.
• Avoid passive agressive posts, sly remarks or baiting/trolling. You can certainly have fun or disagree without it being at someone's expense.
• Only use anime examples that are canon and as means to provide clarity to pages in the manga. Any other anime material is otherwise non-canon and should only be referenced if it can be proved that the mangaka had approved it.
• We will strive to avoid repetitive discussions and any extensive battle topics will be guided to the Davy Back fight to existing threads or new ones can be made there.

As of now these topics are shelved due to repetitiveness or until the manga can present us with material to further discussions:

If you wish to continue any of these discussion and remove it from the list, you will need to provide manga material as proof. If there's also anything you think we've covered numerous times, let me know and I'll update the list.

This is the only warning there'll be regarding these ground rules, anything no adhering will be removed. So please just check your posts before posting them.

Fainted is your out for awhile, not next page your come back biting the face of your enemy and fine. Zoro fainted and needed healing. Not same thing as you can't be hurt to you fall to the ground, but doesn't mean you down for good.

We're talking about Apoo. You so desperately don't want to admit you're wrong that you jump and talk about the aftermath of Zoro vs Kamazo (a fight Zoro won anyway) to undermine him.

Apoo attacked Zoro and Luffy with the same technique, in the same scene. Luffy fainted: he lost consciousness, that's not subjective, we saw it happen, the manga told us it happened. Zoro was hurt and confused by the technique, but he didn't faint, he picked Luffy up immediately and ran away carrying him.

Zoro didn't get medical attention nor was out after that, he immediately started fighting the Gifters and even if they outnumbered him with weird Smile powers, Zoro didn't get hurt by them and he kept killing them for minutes until the samurai army got to the plazza and joined the fight. Just like Law and Kidd were doing (and unlike Zoro, Kidd WAS hurt by the Gifters since he's now bleeding from the mouth a little bit). Now Zoro has the chance to ignore the fodder army and head seek a worthy fight for himself.

If you undermine Zoro based on that, you must undermine Luffy and Kidd even lower than him. If you only undermine Zoro but ignore those two, you're very biased and you just dislike Zoro.

However, none of the three should be undermined from here.

Luffy and Kidd did take damage, but Luffy is nothing knew since he bounce back as Rubberman and Kidd tank it better than Zoro while standing while Zoro went on his knees. It shows on who couldn't handle it more and Luffy taking damage is nothing knew as we know he always go for major boss later.

Nah, I am a fan of Zoro, but I don't turn away when he got showing not to same level as others. I give what happen in situation, but make it a 'hype' about it like others do. Got learn to state faults when you see them on the character as you can be fan, but you don't get blinded.

Agree to disagree. We not getting anywhere if you can't admit both how Luffy went down compare to how Zoro are down are different, not same issues. You got nothing to back that up nor push on that factor. Luffy got knockdown, yes, but not fainted if he came back so quickly as someone who faints in real life won't come out of it like that while Zoro was down for few days, so just saying not the same.
