Ground Rules for the Power Level Discussion Thread

As always, please follow the guidelines set by the Forum Rules that apply across the board.

It's important that discussions from a current chapter are spoiler tagged until 24h have passed from an english release.

• For the sake of constructive discussion, where and when possible please quote/ source any information you provide. Particularly when it comes to conversations carried over from other threads.
• Avoid passive agressive posts, sly remarks or baiting/trolling. You can certainly have fun or disagree without it being at someone's expense.
• Only use anime examples that are canon and as means to provide clarity to pages in the manga. Any other anime material is otherwise non-canon and should only be referenced if it can be proved that the mangaka had approved it.
• We will strive to avoid repetitive discussions and any extensive battle topics will be guided to the Davy Back fight to existing threads or new ones can be made there.

As of now these topics are shelved due to repetitiveness or until the manga can present us with material to further discussions:

To be fair, we should await for further explanation on it to be 100% sure, but the way he "becomes diamond" instead of just "creating diamonds" seems to suggest that his paramecia allows him to switch before being a normal human being and a being like Mr.1 or Luffy, entirely made out of some inorganic material.

Going by most paramecia Luffys whole body gets the rubber effect down to his bones. Buggy’s body gets the ability all through. the way I see this, it make sense his whole body is Diamond.

Anyway, I'm curious to see how Usopp and Nami handle Page and Ulti as both are physically superior to the two Straw Hats. Do you think if Nami and Usopp beat them, they can be considered on that level, or does that depend on their weapons?

Honestly same, Wano anime is full of rainbow trash. Zolo vs Killer fight was not OP original, that is sad. Katakuri vs Snakeman was the best fight in a long time. I only watch the anime for the fights. Sanji vs Drake was wack in animation and honestly, only Sanji fans think Sanji > Drake in that fight.




Dude, WHAT "ongoing" fight with King?! LOL youre the only one who thinks that. Is like saying Franky is still gonna fight BM (alone). They both had only one small altercation, King threw Sanji like a rag doll and made Sanji take off his suit. Your only basis on the fight is that they both can fly. Sanji never knocked down Drake in the manga. Manga over anime anytime when it comes down to facts.

He not done with King at all and we see that fight between them will continue since King is type of guy to want to finish what he started and if he sees Sanji was still fine from his attack, he is going after him again and why shouldn't Sanji not face him as he is quite suitable to take him on and you picked wrong example to use with Yonko with YC as that hardly it at all. Also what ragdoll? Only saw Sanji blocking his first attack and tanking the next and was fine from next chapter. They will continue fighting with each other given circumstances that lead to it with even his talk few chapters talks about 'Flying DF users' which King was among them.

Don't think Natsu ever refer to himself at first person before (PS series gets better with sequel manga).

The way Jozu's diamonds are portrayed is pretty much identical to Daz Bones blades.

Daz Bones is also always blades regardless of wether he transforms parts of his body to have edges.

Yeah Oda has yet to pair them off, we usually see a 1 on 1 panel of whos gonna fight who. Usually it is: Luffy vs main villain, Zolo vs 2nd strongest, Sanji vs 3rd strongest and so on. So if anything we can expect Zolo vs King, Sanji vs Queen.

In all honesty I think that is crappy that Zolo and Sanji will face off high level YCs like them. It feels too rushed, we havent seen them take down anyone near that level in a full fight. How I think it should've gone was Luffy face off against Jack first either at Zou or in Kuri. Both Zolo and Sanji shouldve fought a Flying 6 member before Onigashima with a full fight not a Sanji vs Page 1 type of fight. This would show progress to make it more believable that they are YC level.

I, like many are upset that Oda just off screened Jack's fight with the Sulong minks.

We shouldn't underestimate that and interactions to happen again especially given their capabilities of flight to see each other in skies again.

Lol dude are you okay? Zolo vs Apoo? No, just stop. X Drake himself said he is gonna handle Apoo even Kid said he wanted to handle Apoo. Zolo just thought he was being annoying. Queen vs Zolo? Solely because Queen bit him and spit him out. Zolo called him weird and didnt even care about him. If that's true then Luffy vs Apoo, since Apoo knocked him out for a second there and or Luffy vs Queen because Queen bit and spit him out too.
You're arguments dont make sense. Nobody but you sees King vs Sanji.
If anything King will want to take on Luffy because he doesnt want Luffy to reach Kaido.

This. Usopp was first paired with jabra in enies lobby, but later on sanji was the one who fought jabra.

It's almost like this series has a history of the Strawhats overcoming opponents who are beyond their current pay grade...

Nami and Usopp are likely about to go against Page One and Ulti, two people who have gone against both Sanji and Luffy (and Yamato) respectively and weren't put down. They have no business going against them from what we've seen, but we are apparently going down that road.

Just want him to put on a good show. Allow him to go all out and get some decent hits in. Then allow her to fully show off her true capabilities against someone who won't get instantly stomped.

It's a fine line to walk, but I want him to get some hype, but I want her to retain her's, if that makes sense.

I'm the opposite. I dont know how anyone still thinks Sanji and Zoro aren't strong enough to fight Yonko Commanders or equivalent.

There's a pretty bid difference between a YC1 (katakuri, king) and a YC4-10 (doflamingos, oven, daifukus, perosperos of the world). And to be fair, sanji has zero feats relevant to any level of YC. Sanji's greatest feat in the entirety of the new world was against page one, a character whose gag is pretty much getting his ass kicked, whom sanji might not have even defeated. Doflamingo straight up foderized sanji in turn.
