Ground Rules for the Power Level Discussion Thread

As always, please follow the guidelines set by the Forum Rules that apply across the board.

It's important that discussions from a current chapter are spoiler tagged until 24h have passed from an english release.

• For the sake of constructive discussion, where and when possible please quote/ source any information you provide. Particularly when it comes to conversations carried over from other threads.
• Avoid passive agressive posts, sly remarks or baiting/trolling. You can certainly have fun or disagree without it being at someone's expense.
• Only use anime examples that are canon and as means to provide clarity to pages in the manga. Any other anime material is otherwise non-canon and should only be referenced if it can be proved that the mangaka had approved it.
• We will strive to avoid repetitive discussions and any extensive battle topics will be guided to the Davy Back fight to existing threads or new ones can be made there.

As of now these topics are shelved due to repetitiveness or until the manga can present us with material to further discussions:

1. Shanks v Mihawk
2. Hand to hand fighters > Swordsmen
3. Zoro > Luffy
4. Zoro v Sanji
5. Is Smoker a top 30 character?
6. Mihawk's rank within the story
7. Law having CoC currently.
8. Katakuri > Kaido/Luffy/Etc.

If you wish to continue any of these discussion and remove it from the list, you will need to provide manga material as proof. If there's also anything you think we've covered numerous times, let me know and I'll update the list.

This is the only warning there'll be regarding these ground rules, anything no adhering will be removed. So please just check your posts before posting them.

Thats why Kakus Tekkai made him have problems and he couldnt cut Kuma/Pacifistas?

Kaku never blocked Zoro with tekkai though, when Zoro came in with lion song Kaku had to block it with tempest kick to avoid being cut, as for the Pacifista we all saw Zoro cut it, you used bad examples to counter this time

He did cut Pacifistas after the timeskip. Before Ashura was needed i believe?

Ichi and ni Gorilla, just a scratch. Also his Lion sing was countered by a rankyaku... how could it cut Kaidou exactly at this time?

To be honest with enma zoro are weak to beat or kill a yonko he can gain 2nd worst defeat in kaido hands. Maybe he can cut but that's not great you think being this from the start zoro are always be a support what ever he did he can't beat the plot that luffy fighting the boss he is the main protagonists after all.

Im just making the point that the examples you used do not counter the original argument, since lion song was the only ability Zoro needed to use to access advanced haki

I just have my own no one can support Character can beat the plot zoro are always #2 they say wano kuni is his arc it's big no why first of all PLOT is luffy surpass and beat the strongest boss this is reality zoro can't be center of wano kuni because every plot always luffy as center of it. Thats why oda said if luffy survive wano kuni we can learn about one piece sure he is oda main protagonists after all right.
Kid killer law and zoro maybe can damage kaido but being defeated after for the plot.

Honestly, Orochi's death was unsatisfying and I kinda want to see him revived but only to see his DF in action. Although I wouldnt doubt Orochi himself would disappoint. He would be a good battle agaisnt someone like Brook, but versus Zolo? No way

It would be nice to see Zolo one shot Orochi just so Moe could stop.

I wish to see Yamata no Orochi in full action but at the hands of a capable user instead of Orochi. He should stay dead so someone else can eat his fruit, but I wouldn't be surprised if he and Kanjuro are still alive.

I used to think Yamato would eat his fruit but she appears to have a zoan of her own.

X Drake is an allosaurus and Page One is a spinosaurus. They're both pretty big and even bigger than the Rex, but they are no Rex.

T-Rex, Velo and ankilosaurus are the ones I miss the most, but if they don't appear on this arc I doubt we will see any new ancient zoans in the future.

We saw her teeth started growing when she almost used her powers a few chapters ago so she's a zoan carnivore. She's probably a dragon like the one Ryuma slew in Monsters.

The dragon from Punk Hazard was too goofy-looking. We need the one from Monsters but with Oda's current artwork.

The only problem is that it may be too western for Wano, so it might be something else entirely like a Byakko. It would also fit the usual dragon vs tiger themes from Asia.
