I think a lot of you guys overestimate kizaru and take the light speed to literal. If kizaru can literally move like you guys are saying or implying he wouldn’t have gotten hit by luffy.. TWICE, would have gotten the mission done etc.

So unless Oda shows us an awakening that’s like wild I don’t see kizaru fight in this blur like a lot of people are trying to say he can.

Ah yes. The 0.03% difference in light in vacuum vs light in our atmosphere is really gonna tip the scale.

It's clear kizaru does not normally move at lightspeed. He has some abilities which allow that... Like when it looked like he teleported away from luffy to build up momentum and kick him through the force field or when he reflects himself across various surfaces. But it's clear his normal movement speed is just that of his body. From the looks of it he can't attack while using his lightspeed movement, at the very least he hasn't done so. Now, his laser attacks should actually happen at lightspeed though oda has gone with these not being represented as such. As we can mostly see lasers in story. It's not scientifically accurate of course but it's mostly consistent in story...

Just remembered something I read during high school days, photons don't have mass. So he probably must return back to lower (human?) speed to have enough mass to attack. I remember someone talking about lasers being super-heated plasma, but I don't know the details.

I think that devil fruit powers adjust themselves according to what the user expects them to do, so Kizaru's powers are influenced by what Vegapunk taught him, just like King and Queen's weird attacks were a direct consequence of believing that "dinosaurs acted like cheap toys".

And this is both a curse and a blessing because while this enables df users to expand the scope of their powers, well... (as Saturn said) this can also act as a limiter.

Well that could be something. Maybe the reason to broadcast would be for a different reason tbf. Like showing the truth about the Gorosei and their despise of humans.
My other guess with the “Hello world” gif is the Robot, and the truth could be Vegapunk explaining to Luffy about Nika. That might give Kizaru second thoughts.

I'm not going to post it in the spoiler thread, because it's not an approved source....but potential spoiler.... there is somebody claiming a spoiler from a leaker saying that Lucci is defeated by a combo attack between zorro and jimbei.

The person who has the page for spoilers seems to do a good job of a history of posting legit leaks.

If this is true as well, I'm not sure how I feel about that.

wow what a problem if jinbe helps zoro. People care too much about power levels, and in One Piece it was never something so objective based on a real scale. It's all speculation by fans who even go to the trouble of creating nomenclatures to define characters that don't mean anything. Just enjoy the story and have fun.

I could see Jinbei doing that kind of stuff.
Remember when Sanji got angry at him during Wano because he ended up aiding everyone Sanji was supposed to help.
Jinbei is an elite veteran, he knows the importance off getting out of their ASAP. Ending up finishing Lucci alongside Zoro is the logical outcome!
