That's why I don't trust Redon's hints, they are mostly exaggerated and mean nothing until you read the chapter itself.

I don't think that's the reason, they would have specified it.

Those who need to translate the chapter into the language for Sunday publication aren't given it the Friday before, but more than a week before, considering that after the translation, it must be edited and then revised.

Therefore, it's very possible that the chapter was "ready" but didn't arrive in time for the magazine's printing.
So skip to the next one.

I don't have Twitter and I find this whole hints/reaction gifs thing confusing at best, pointless at worst, but what if this gif (that I haven't seen) was to say "buckle up, a new chapter is coming" ?

On the other hand I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out he was lying.
Leakers would overhype a chapter because Oda's favorite character Silhouette D Flashback appears at the very last panel saying "...", with stuff like "IT'S SO PEAK " or whatever.

If everything is peak, nothing is.

Around 2nd n 3rd week magazune distribute to all bookstore, n they want all bookstore sell it at same time,,
Thats why spoiler people have access to it early, because they either the distribute people, or work in bookstore,,
This just same case like golden week or new year, the bookstore already have the book, but they cannot sell it yet to maintence the schedule.
The reason they dont want spill it to early they dont want got capture by leaking it so damn early,,

This is a very good point. My guess is for scheduled breaks like Golden Week they just withhold the release by a week but sellers may already have the next copy.

For unexpected breaks the way they likely handle it is in the future of the event and not in the immediate week it happened. What we read in a given week was written weeks prior so they probably use the sick week in a future release. For example if in early September Oda got sick and as a result couldn't complete a chapter that week, on our end we will still get a chapter. However, weeks later in early October due to the sick week from a month prior they skip printing that chapter and say it was due to Oda being sick. So you're right leakers should not have OP in the release for this week since it would not have been printed.

You shouldn't speak to things if you don't know what you're talking about.
Leakers work at a point in the distribution pipeline of the printed magazine, and get the chapter that's already printed but isn't put on the shelves yet, which this chapter is obviously not in the print coming out this Sunday. They do make chapters a couple of weeks ahead of time, but they are in no form that reaches any leakers until they are actually printed in the magazine. The only way it'd be possible to get a non-printed leak is if you're working directly with Oda. This is also why some chapters (around long holidays like New Years and Golden Week) get leaked much earlier than your standard chapter.

In this case it's clear that Redon put his foot in his mouth and posted a reaction based on vibes and not actual content he'd seen. Posting reaction gifs is like being a Weather Man, and posting "meh" doesn't get the likes that "BUCKLE UP!" does.

So, it was a health matter after all... he have been cooking non stops for weeks, sadly there is a price to pay for that... a very human one,..but the schedules are so important, there's so much people and stuff happening behind courtains...and jobs that depend on this, he is the core of a Multi millon dollar business, and he cant and will refuse other people just do the 100% even if they could copy oda"s style in a perfect Match.. o.p it is his baby and his responsability, and he feels forced to never do that.. so taking breaks who sadly completely broke the very tight schedule, is the only thing he could do,... and of course there wont be IN PERSON review of the Live Action...

An artist job's cant be .. and will feel wrong even if he found 100 people being able to.copy his style and he just go to Hawaii for vacations for a whole year...

so in the end the whole engine depend just from him to move..

He still draw the drafts and some major panels i think, the assistants and other ppl only make the thing happen based on what he draw actually.

From an artist's point of View and by pride i understeand him...

He feel himself in the need to give the.people who buy the magazine and have been following op for decades.. His own work, his own Art. done by his own Hand,... so it didnt matter if he found 100 people capable of drawing exactly like him.. while he gave instructions resting on a Beach in Hawaii.. it wont feel right for him...

it is sad that being rich.. and being capable of doing that, like in most cases.. he cant.. lets not mention Japanese people is very prideful...
