It would make perfect sense that he exploited his past knowledge of their pride in order to stall them and let them fight each other. Something like telling them who would be able to give the finishing blow to Jarul. Great interpretation.

I see these hints as: the kids keep following the arrow even with no ship there, and fall off the edge as a result. They fall out of Sommers' range and are thus freed from the thorns (like what Robin tried to do). Then Loki in dragon form, possibly being ridden by Luffy, catch them and bring them back to their parents.

In one of libraryofohara's posts arthur talked about the dragon from the kid's nightmares possibly being loki's fruit. I think he got it right.

Brook's past gets weirdly relevant at unexpected points in the story. Next thing we know it'll turn out he was acquainted with xebec back in the day. He remembers hearing about roger's rookie days....

By all appearances it looks like Gunko's father, presumably a king of some sort, was someone Brook was incredibly loyal to. Brook is blindly loyal to luffy but if it turns out to be the case that Imu possessed gunko to kill her father and brook learns about this then it might turn out to be the case that brook's honor runs into a conflict between past and current allegiances. He resents Shuri over what happened but if Imu is the one behind the murder it stands to reason that Brook would be honorbound to protect shuri. I do think that if Imu takes away shuri's position as a god knight then she will rapidly age as we saw with saturn.
