Re: Pinoy Hangout Thread v. 17

tch. 1000th post, and it's by some random Singaporean guy. :rant

I was about to take that spot when my PC crashed. Oh, the signs.

I'm actually resigning from work i.m.m.e.d.i.a.t.e.l.y.

Some major stupid fuck-up I did and I can't stomach the atmosphere and the shame any longer. >.>

The sad part is that my parents (who currently don't know my situation) just wired me some money saying they totally support me in everything I plan to do because they felt that I was no longer happy where I was. :crying Fucking parents' intuition!!! They were so spot-on, and I hate to break their hearts that I'm such a disappointment! :shakefist

---------- Post added at 08:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:14 PM ----------

btw, I'm thinking we won't go a new version this time around after the 1000th post because... you know, do we actually still care?

Re: Pinoy Hangout Thread v. 17

No we don't care about the thousandth post anymore. I heard it's a new number, and I just woke up and is still sleepy to put something that makes sense here. Just woke up to read HxH scan.

And share the following thought:

Meruem gets what he wants (that is, beat Komugi in that board game) and then dies happy. And the rest of HxH world is still reeling from the infestation the chimera ants have wrought upon the world. Seems Togashi really ain't gonna end it early in his life. Unless he plans to do cop out chapters liek he did in Yu Yu Hakusho.

Re: Pinoy Hangout Thread v. 17

you know, I did think about gay guys just this afternoon (on the way to submitting my resignation letter, etc). Just a random thought that reminded me about what you guys were discussing.

So anyway, this was what came to mind. What do you guys think of Neil Patrick Harris?

I remember what brought this about. I was riding the jeep when we passed by Penshoppe's billboard with Ed Westwick on it- Chuck of Gossip Girl- one of the sexiest manliest roles (to some). And then I saw him appear in Californiacation as a gay college boy who had a crush on David Duchovny. -_-

Then I thought who else had these credits and then I thought of Wentworth Miller who played a gay bitch in Popular and turned up to be truly gay after Prisonbreak.

and then I just thought of this thread that you discussed recently about fags, and I thought of Neil Patrick Harris. Because I read a lot of comments from guys in youtube who respect him and consider him a truly great guy despite his gender preference.

Re: Pinoy Hangout Thread v. 17

Neil Patrick Harris is one of the best actor/celebrity who happens to be gay. Not too many like him who do not capitalize on his preference.

Though I remember him most as the titular character in Doogie Howser, M.D.

Re: Pinoy Hangout Thread v. 17

NPH is a beacon of light for gay men all around the world. He's respectable, talented, charismatic; he does not do anything to "become a woman", act all faggy, nor does he have the need to shove his gayness down everyone's eyesockets and eardrums. One of my good friends (who also happens to be gay) said that NPH is what modern and progressive gay men are supposed to be.

Re: Pinoy Hangout Thread v. 17

Isn't running around the archipelago looking for a chef job kind of expensive?

Anyways, good luck, and I hope you find your heart's desire :D.

Re: Pinoy Hangout Thread v. 17

I've experienced the whole "job hunting" thing all too often. And the record I've had at looking for one was 9 months. Geez.

So I'm bracing myself for another bum life. This is gonna get bad.

If anything, I'm seeking the help of some divine intervention. Or maybe just talk to a random good guy. To help me with my issues and shit.

Re: Pinoy Hangout Thread v. 17

exactly. I'm also looking for new manga to read to forget things and move on. >.>

I tried Gekka bijin but it's too "noisy" for me.

I want to try REAL by Takehiko Inoue. His art always brings solace to me.

Takehiko Inoue needed to take a break from it. Vagabond is like his Obra Maestra, and he has some artist shit to deal with.

Re: Pinoy Hangout Thread v. 17

@BB- I know how shitty it is to look for a job after being in a hospitality/culinary school (specially if you don't have a diploma...like me...). You'll have no choice but to look for a decent cash-generating job while you look for an actual kitchen job, that you know you'll love... shit, I went ahead and worked in an ESL call centre before realizing that no one else would hire me w/o a BA/BS. :scry The fact that I'll be back in the same situation after I finally get a diploma isn't reassuring, but I just keep on telling myself that "working in a kitchen isn't a profession, it's a calling". Not much are cut out for "life on the line", but those who are, do it not for the money, but because it's in their veins.

Look at Tony Bourdain; sure, he's not that great of a chef (and he's not even known for his cooking), but he shows us that, even the misfits of the world (who can actually stand the kitchen life) can make something of themselves in the kitchen. The only things you need are a whole lot of patience, a whole lot of guts, and a little bit of madness to pull it off... I mean, let's face it, you've got to be a little mad to want a life that'll practically crush your social life and is potentially hazardous to your health.
