Can anyone tell me how to link one computer to another via LAN? So far all I know is how to set them to the same workgroup... Still looking for a way to literally hook them up together through a wireless router.

Linksys. Isn't it possible to do? I don't want to remotely control the other PC, I just want to remotely access it's contents.

aww i got confused there, yeah you can paperboy as long as both computers have wireless capability, you don't need the router. what i did before was to create an ad-hoc comp-to-comp connection, you can find that at network and sharing center/network connections, same wizard as creating a workgroup, choose the ad-hoc option

WAIT YOU SCUM i'm a little confused right now, my mind is burned memorizing all those kana. i think there's a way to connect both computers using the router, ad-hoc is okay but it's weaker and lesser range than the router... i'm gonna google it a bit

It's been awhile since I've done it, but if they're in the same network via your wireless router, you can access it by mapping a shared folder as a network drive in the other computer.

You allow sharing by opening up the network setup wizard in control panel. When that's done, allow access to a folder by sharing it (right-click on it, then properties, then go to the Sharing tab.) Then, on the other computer map the network drive.

It's too long to type but you can google most of the details.
