To those who haven't seen me yet, let me re-introduce myself. I'm miyi, I live in Southern California, and I'm mostly interested in Naruto anime/manga, and sports: basketball and football (American).

I noticed mahilig kayo lahat halos sa video games. Just fyi, I suck at video games.

Everyone's doing fine. (I think...)
Most young Filipinos today , especially who were kids back in the late 80's and early 90's ay mahilig talaga sa video games. I remember, we would always sneak out of the house during the afternoon and go to the neaby computer shop (back then computer shop were called "kompyuteran" and that would mean table lined with Family Computers and a Sega unit) play at least an hour or two then, tambay na for the rest of the day. Makiki-cheer ka lang sa mga naglalaro o kaya magpapagalingan kayo sa mga stage sa Mario, sa mga moves ng Street Fighter 1 (sila Ryu, Chun-Li, Zangief at Guile lang noon) o kaya naman maguunahan sa pagpindot ng up,up,down,down,left,right,left,right,A,B,A,B, select, Start (kung 2 player) sa Contra.

Naging nostalgic tuloy ako.

Ngayon naman, wala ka nang bata na makikita sa kalsada na naglalaro ng tumbang preso, patintero, taguan, moro-moro, kase lahat ang alam hawakan e mga mouse at keyboard at nag-uunahan magpalevel up o kaya makapatay ng Terrorist sa Counter Strike.


EDIT: AWWW! Di na babalik si DZ dito? Oh well, mas gusto naman nya ata sa Canada di ba? Based on what I read in one of her last posts.

re: video games
never had much allowance when i was a kid (para siguro sa mga malalaki kong gastos when i grew up, ), so never got my hands on video games when i was younger although i was always drooling with envy everytime i see one. was the studious type, mostly in to books, i think i missed half of my childhood.

anyways, nasa roms na naman ung mga games na pinaglalawayan ko nun. never realized they were so small. but it's hard for them to compete with the latest games, unless me hardware ka o u play for nostalgia....
