I am not making narrative up, just saying how it's similar stance like BB's fight. BB was dominant and went off-screen to later show he wins with Ace sent to Impel Down and Macro retired temporarily after that. Sanji is dominant in fight and off-screen and we never see PO again for rest of the arc until back at Fire Festival.
Read this quote text again and tell me again how those two situations are similar.

I personally think Sanji temporarily put Page One down, but even I admit we have no confirmation of it. We just know Drake was looking for him after their scuffle, but that's not an implicit confirmation.

As for Ace and Marco, we got literal on panel confirmation of their losses. Several times. Ace was put into Impel Down because he lost.

Unless PO comes out and says he was knocked out/he lost to Soba Mask, we will never know.

Then please don't think my defense is something about fanboyism or forcing narrative when it just stating facts. You don't hear me saying Sanji will beat Kaido, stronger than Luffy, etc. like certain others do for a character on here. Just saying on his progress so far and why as M3 member, Luffy who face Yonkos, it make sense why Sanji and Zoro (If he can shape up) face YC lvl threats in the arc so to be close to Luffy's power, but still gap between them.

It's same vibe as off-screen we didn't see how fight end and it shows that BB won on each just same Sanji beat PO off-screen and he never came back. Doesn't make sense where PO is active and he didn't come back. You haven't counter that at all and just pushing just Sanji didn't beat him despite he ragdoll him around the fight. The hints shows, I am not making narrative up, just saying how it's similar stance like BB's fight. BB was dominant and went off-screen to later show he wins with Ace sent to Impel Down and Macro retired temporarily after that. Sanji is dominant in fight and off-screen and we never see PO again for rest of the arc until back at Fire Festival. Not making it up, just same pattern Oda uses when we see how off-screen fights work and hints shows who beat who or outcome is.
Alright. So you made me actually put in the effort to look for the chapter. I'll be responding to things you've claimed throughout the thread.

Sanji himself acknowledges that the Raid Suit's supposed to give him power and admits he's willing to use it from now on if with said power he'll become able to fight against the Tobi Roppo and other Yonkou Commanders. He didn't even think about trying to clash with P1 without it.

Obviously Sanji can still use his Diable Jambe and multitude of skills while wearing the Raid Suit, but the Raid Suit boosts his base stats so much that arguing that it doesn't or that it serves training purposes is like arguing against Oda.

Thrusters on his feet boost both Sanji's movement speed by a lot and therefore his kicking speed, which translates to more kicking strength

Raid Suits are damn COOL, strong, and boost Sanji's usual fighting style.

Invisibility

On this very thread you claimed that "Sanji only used the invisibility in the beginning. He was just moving too fast for P1 to follow". Here you can see how the manga states literally otherwise.

Shield and flotation devices

So we already know the Raid Suit are awesome, but add in a cape with extreme durability and flotation devices on his soles besides the thrusters. The flotation devices basically allow him to nullify innertia with the ground. So more movement speed and, once again, more kicking speed, especially in this case if he can make a run before kicking.
The flotation device also allows for silent flying which is stealthier and more stable than his air walk.

Page One's Strength

Here's the only example of Sanji's kick (with Raid Suit on) hitting against Page One's attack. Despite the boosts the Raid Suit provide, Sanji's still easily sent flying through four or five buildings.

Raid Suit's Durability

Sanji, the character we are discussing about himself, acknowledges that he only felt a little pain and that the suit is definitely durable. The suit boosts Sanji's defense so much that despite being sent flying through multiple buildings after being hit by the black armament haki-imbued Spinosaurus claw he only felt a little pain and wasn't slashed by the claws, who failed to pierce through the Raid Suit.

Look at what we got so far. You have been claiming that "Enma can be mastered by anyone with a strong haki" and that it's mastery is unimpressive, while also going on about how "mastering the Raid Suit will serve to boost Sanji's prowess without the Raid Suit itself", which is bullshit. Here he's wearing the Raid Suit for the first time and he's casually pulling out every one of it's abilities casually. Just discovering them int he middle of a fight against an opponent who would have otherwise already killed him with that claw. Raid Suit makes Sanji much stronger with little to now effort and Sanji's willing to use that strength for the sake of his crew. Get ready to see it much more from now onwards.

But of course I'm not finished here.

The Last Thing We Saw of the Fight compared to Ace's and Marco's fights

The things I posted and these panels are literally the only things we saw of the fight. Sanji was unable to deal any damage to Page One as far as we saw despite wearing the Raid Suit.
You may say Luffy recently wasn't entirely serious when fighting Page One, and that's correct, yet despite not being serious he made Page One bleed in a single blow and Page One showed tremendous durability and recovery speed which was acknowledged as a Prehistoric Zoan trait.

The only things we saw from Sanji vs Page One was how lit the Raid Suit is and how Page One was still on Sanji's level despite the Raid Suit.
There was no showdown at all. Why not show anything if one of Kaido's commanders was defeated? Why would Oda possibly do that? And where exactly do you take from there that Page One was defeated? Because he hasn't been seen again for a long time? Black Maria also hasn't been showed until recently, was Black Maria in a hospital recovering from unseen injuries? No, they were both chilling and dealing with issues that were not interesting for the plot. There are enough characters and events going on on Wano for Oda to focus on what Page One has been doing this time, yet if Page One had been defeated, THAT would have been an interesting thing to show or, at te very least, have at least a single character mention that it happened. But it didn't happen.

You're telling me that page I posted is comparable to the ending of Ace vs Blackbeard? Sanji's fight was about getting away and gaining the enemy's attention so he doesn't go around killing innocent people and giving Usopp and Franky time to run away. Ace's fight was a fight to kill Blackbeard so he wouldn't go kill Luffy (as he claimed he would) if he ran away, while Blackbeard was just taking the chance that Ace was attacking him to beat him up and use him to become a Shichibukai. The ending was left in the air to create suspense after an epic confontration and final clash. There's nothing of that in Sanji vs Page One. How can you possibly get similar vibes?

And you also got similar vibes from Marco vs Blackbeard? A fight that happened during the timeskip and that we saw nothing of and was only referenced to during dialogues? What the hell does that have in common with any of the other two fights?

For real, man. This is the last time I'm answering until someone says anything different because I'm starting to feel like I'm debating with a wall.

Sanji needs haki. Perioid.
P1 wasnt defeated he was stalled successfully.

What's annoying with Oda. Is that he hates Sanji lol.

The P1 fight is exactly like the Vergo fight. Except this time Sanji get more hits in and doesnt take any damage.

Either Way there's still ambiguity of P1 switching combat modes and overpowering Sanji while in his suit. Despite Sanji's many fast & invisible attacks P1 wasnt injured.

So Sanji has a list of ambigious combat prowess and no wins to his name. To concretely say Sanji is ....Strong...We have an idea of his relative level and capabilities....

But it ain't No Commander level stuff. SORRY. Blame Oda.
PO was defeated as doesn't make sense he didn't come back afterwards and Oda doesn't hate the character if your push fight narrative sa if that case then he hate all Strawhats except Luffy at this point. Nothing ambigious about it and Sanji is being prepare up to be on YC lvl if beating T6H who also an All-Star candidate push that narrative as it's not really tough for him at all.

Didn't we not know outcome of Ace's fight until finding out he was in Impel Down meaning he lost to BB in the end. Same of PO never coming back to help Drake and Hawkins in their mission and just went AWOL from the events until returning to Fire Festival in the end. Doesn't excuse why he went out like that and Oda wouldn't push someone active if they never return like that. Hints more he was defeated and came back. If Luffy who beaten Holdem was able to return, then it make sense PO came back, but doesn't erase they aren't stronger than them nor they weren't defeated.

This, I'll argue. Sanji didn't put on the suit for the power. At least initially. He just wanted to hide his identity from Hawkins and Drake, who'd recognize him as a member of the Strawhats if they were to arrive.

Let's argue that point then.
Sanji had reasons to hide his identity, that's right, but didn't he have other ways of camuflaging his identity other than putting on the Raid Suit? He could have covered his face with any cloth or mask (not that he owns a mask but they're in Wano, there's bond to be many nearby).

In the panel I posted in which he's activating the raidsuit he's openly speaking about hoping the power of the Raid Suit would help him fight against the members of a Yonkou crew. And he's talking straight to Page One's face, who's looking straight at his face and might just give a description of him to the others afterwards.

Edit:
I'll be a little bit more specific in my point:
I think disguising himself is only half of the reason why he put on the RS, going by his own words about casting his pride away and getting the power he needs.

For real, man. This is the last time I'm answering until someone says anything different because I'm starting to feel like I'm debating with a wall.
He does wear RS in response about that, but we see RS isn't more power based as coming this with Germa with their RS, they are giving more offensive elemental power while his just invisibility, pushing that his power is still more his own and suit just help in training for his body to help him get stronger both with and without, but not dependcy factor as he stated afterwards and during the fight he doesn't want to be like Germa in that nature at all. You keep missing that solid point there.

As for the fight, you do know in the fight Sanji wasn't trying at all throughout and was just going Base Kicks even his blocking, but no Named-Attacks, DJ, and Haki at all during the course, so being sent through buildings was more him testing out the suit on durability factor than losing battle of physical since he was able to send PO flying back and giving damage enough to make him cry loudly each time. I am not counting out PO, but it was clear Oda sees him under Sanji same way you push about Luffy against him as PO and Ulti are under him too.

As for off-screen narrative comparison, I can give you BB vs Macro maybe, but not BB vs Ace was we didn't know true conclusion until later when we found out Ace has been captured and Impel Down, but there been hints about him being defeated similar to PO not coming back to be active and help out on mission until later after Oda give screentime to him again. There is a thing of recovery, so he came back, but doesn't erase he was still no match for Sanji overall. You didn't prove anything why PO stay away as if he was active, he would be on rampage like before and looking angrily for Sanji while going after citizens, so why did that stop after fight with Sanji? Only way to look at it he was defeated and stop as he doesn't look like the guy to simple quit and stop what he is doing and pushing more he was defeated in the end. Sanji save the people and beat PO which is obvious especially seeing angry Drake about it on his end. Hints shows more than him being active about it. Not making any of this up, but go with hints just like BB vs Ace the same.

Your only one being a wall here and doing downplay. Just trying to give props on Sanji and his feats, but you stated against them saying he isn't stronger than he is even with RS. We can agree to disagree, that's fine, but not going to take that as a true response given seems like your pushing something else for your own takes.

The disguise would fall off if he fighting someone like that and he need something that can stick, not just to hide only. RS fits and nor was it made for power use. Invisibility doesn't give you power, it gives you stealth. His power is his own majorly as you can see it clear as day before he put on RS, his kick was strong enough to kick him down and Law was one stating he will not let him fight unless he has cover and take him out quickly without harm. That what it showing more about the situation.

Let's agree to disagree then.
I provided you with manga proof of every single one of my claims. I've already said twice I don't hate Sanji and that I'm rooting for him to get stronger so I don't know what I'm supposed to he pushing according to you and after I went through the trouble to check that chapter and break it down for you I think it's a bit rude you suggest that "Me not agreeing with your opinion about your favorite character = I'm pushing an agenda".
I've been as objective as I can in my comments and my opinion remains the same.

Fine with me and while you did give panels doesn't push your narrative that you ignore on Sanji he fights with and without, he doesn't see it as sake for power like Enma which can be use by anyone. He see the suits for certain purpose and will fight with it during those circumstance, but never felt like without it, he can't fight anyone like that. If your not doing that, then sorry for misunderstanding, but sound like you were denying certain things. Just explaining to you on my end without biased, not ignoring truth on RS and him using it as he will, but just saying not in way you think.

Seems like he didn't given he went straight for the Raid Suit option. There was more emphasis on the suit being used as a way to hide his identity, rather than him needing it's power. The way the whole scenario was framed, Sanji seemed rather confident in his ability to take on Page One before deciding to toss on the Raid Suit to hide his identity.

And, to be honest, that whole bit was basically a contrived reason for Sanji to toss on the Raid Suit. He had no real idea that the suit would even hide his identity, especially when you consider the fact that none of his siblings had masks on their Raid Suit.

After makes that statement about using the power, he then states that's when he's just using it to test the suit out. My point is, Sanji didn't use the suit out of a necessity for it's power benefits, he used it to keep his identity under wraps. He wasn't worried about clashing against Page One without it.

Fair points.

Although the point about Sanji having no idea the RS would mask his identity makes the whole situation and his motivation to wear it for the first time rather... contrived, as you said.

Okay, so. Sanji's main motivation for wearing the RS was the disguise excuse. However, Sanji at least expected the RS to make him stronger somewhat for what he had already seen when his siblings wore theirs, even if that wasn't his main motivation to wear it this time around.
I still think he was somewhat counting on the power boost because of the way he said "I just have to remain anonymous and not get hurt" while he was already holding in his hand the RS container. It looked to me like he was counting on it for the durability part already too.

I think we agree that whatever the reason he had for wearing, he was impressed throughout the short fight with the multiple benefits and boosts he got from the suit?

The way I see it that whole skirmish and chapter were there just to showcase how cool and strong his Raid Suit is and hype up Sanji's new possibilities for the future, and the way Sanji declared things like "I will cast away my pride and use this" or "Simply using this technology doesn't make me part of Germa 66" seem to imply that he's come to terms with the fact that the RS is just a tool to be even stronger and he shouldn't be blinded and limited by how much he hates his family.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Actually, Sanji could have known in advance about the mask. They're well-known comic book characters from the North Blue after all.

Oh for sure. He definitely grew impressed with the suit's capabilities. Him already thinking of having Franky and Usopp change it make that clear.

That's basically all the fight was. Sanji's declarations were him coming to grips with it being a potentially positive tool to help folks out.

If that were the case, I would assume he'd have also known about the invisibility aspect to.

Yay, we agree on that. And now that you mention it, I'm curious to see the design changes.

Law did know about the invisibility aspect, so Sanji not knowing is weird.

However I've checked and at least according to the anime the Stealth Black from the cartoon wore no mask.

And isn't even wearing black.

Isn't that Marine Propaganda on their version of how they look and show though along being Anime-only scenes? So Idk if you should take that as fact given we all know on how Anime is and Marine on their own 'truths' after all.

Sanji probably knew after seeing future design as a kid or something to give hint about it on his end on what his family would design on him.

Btw when do you all think we see returning old moves into new moves through his DJ and Haki along creating new moves that can work? Do you think he learn another version of Cipher Pol powers as I do like the idea of his kicks can create slicing shockwave towards enemies like they did.

I think good points on both sides. I still think Sanji won his fight with P1, who wasn't seen again until the raid. Sanji did hurt him in that last panel, unless you don't consider screams in pain to be getting hurt.

Having said that, I don't think Sanji is on the level of X Drake, the guy i consider the top Tobi Roppo. I think as a captain Super Nova, he's closer to Luffy's level than he is to the Zoro/Sanji level. But other than that, i wouldn't be shocked if Sanji could beat any of the other Tobi Roppo, even if some would be difficult fights.

Sanji probably knew after seeing future design as a kid or something to give hint about it on his end on what his family would design on him.
Doubtful. Law read the comics as a kid and the two are around the same age. The suit apparently existed before the current batch of Vinsmoke kids.

Do you think he learn another version of Cipher Pol powers as I do like the idea of his kicks can create slicing shockwave towards enemies like they did.
This is an obvious omission in Sanji repitoire, so I expect he'll have a flaming Rankyaku. It won't cut, but it'll probably be blunt like Jabra's were.

I actually think Drake is closer than Zoro and Sanji than he is to Luffy. Sans Blackbeard, Luffy is head and shoulders above every member of the Worst Generation. Thematically, he's still juxtaposed with Kidd and Law, but they haven't shown anything comparable to him.

Either way, really hope Oda gives him some love soon. I'm still mixed on the Raid Suit, but if the redesign is cool, I'll be with it. Otherwise, I'm low key hoping it's destroyed.

Isn't Law much older than Sanji like isn't he 28 now though? He only saw Marine's version of how they saw it, Sanji got front row of what his father would have given him if he stay, so can't say Sanji wouldn't realize when he was being train to be just like him.

Could still happen the more he trained his body to do that and it could cut on impact, but think it be more of burning effect since with fiery Rankyaku, it be as hot like being hit by his DJ physically.

5 years older, so Law may have seen the comics before Sanji was even born.

The Marines were lying, but they still had enough truth in the comic for Law to be aware of Sanji's abilities as Germa 3.

Sanji didn't know the suit could turn invisible. He couldn't have seen the suit being created.

I see and Idk about that as some can be false in story especially design around.

I mean more he know how it looks than actual functions as he probably wouldn't know that, but good idea on design of a RS.

Watched a YT video the other day, they were speculating that Sanji could develop a new form of advanced Observation Haki — which is to hide his presence from 'normal' OH users.

Could be the case given that invisibility shouldn't be that big of a deal to regular OH users.

As for the RS and its purpose, Sanji did say that he will use it for more power (if my memory isn't failing me)...
