Even translated the ending is atrocious. No way this is the same dude that gave us shiganshima.

Please naruto was at least giving us naruto as Kage and happy as shitThe ending does seem somewhat underwhelming but I’ll wait for the full translation to see whether or not people are exaggerating over the ending.
Hard to imagine this series having an ending as bad as Naruto, fairy tail or SDS.
It wasn't just bias, in the end. Armin really is who Eren choose to save the world.I really don't want to be negative in the finale of this series, but it's so damn hard not to lmao.
I was just hoping it won't be some hippy shit of "we all learned to get along and happily lived after!". But I suppose it is so!!
Anyway, irrespective of what happened in the last few chapters, the first 80-90% of the series was greatness IMO, nothing can change that. I suppose I can be happy with that lol. Considering just the anime alone so far, from season 1 to current episode, was one of the best I've seen. I'll just stop watching once the nonsense "alliance" is formed.
After all Eren said and did, on the basis on purely understanding of reality and self preservation, this was just.....sigh.
As for Armin vs Erwin for colossal titan, ehh. It was just Eren's bias lol. Eren probably didn't start seeing the future/past in a somewhat coherent way until towards the end of season 3

They remember him like this because in the end they gave them their memories back. They know that he became the bad guy to transform the demons into saviours and heroes.Weirdest parts of the chapter for me are definitely Armin thanking Eren for committing mass genocide & Eren’s confession for Mikasa.
I actually had an easier time believing Sasuke was in love with Sakura than Eren being so in love with Mikasa. I can’t think of many moments where it (their romance) felt sold, it’s honestly easier for me to believe he hates her.
I think the chapter felt hollow for me because of how everybody treated Eren like a hero. He wiped out 80% of the population & they’re all thanking him and saying “what a guy” he is. It just feels out of character for a lot of them.
Eren & Historia towards the end felt more like tools/devices for the plot than actual characters by the end in a lot of points & that’s another thing that made this feel a little empty. I feel like the positive ending felt a little forced.
that being said, the chapter was fine. I expected AoT’s ending to make me feel more than this but it was okay I guess.
Yes I understand that, it’s stated in the chapter but I have a hard time believing that all of them would just accept Eren taking out 80% of the population so they can be seen as heroes. It wasn't just bias, in the end. Armin really is who Eren choose to save the world.

The thing is, they know that was a necessary sacrifice unless they wanted to world to end completely. Let's all be honest here, Eren only died in the end because he wanted to. The neck explosion, Mikasa freely waltzing inside the mouth to kill the founder, levi blasting the mouth to open a way. He could've stopped all those actions easy. Historia even says that "eren might've been right", she doesn't say he was totally right.Yes I understand that, it’s stated in the chapter but I have a hard time believing that all of them would just accept Eren taking out 80% of the population so they can be seen as heroes.
They were willing to die saving all those innocent people, so why would they now celebrate Eren’s plan when they are alive and majority of the population are gone? It just feels contradictory to what they believed they were fighting for in the first place.

Yea, but that was future Eren? The 14 year old Eren who chose Armin over Erwin was acting purely on his emotions. Fuck this shit, all this "attack titan can control past and future" is making things un-necessarily complex. Not really a fan of this time travel nonsense. It wasn't just bias, in the end. Armin really is who Eren choose to save the world.

Just basing off the spoilers mentioned here. Maybe all this is wrong and I'll look like an idiot when the chapter comes out. Taking that risk, let me start.
This is what some people here, including myself, have been saying for a while.
This is the reality of their world, in the setting shown to us by/post Will Tybur.
There is no magical "we live together peacefully, hunky dory" after everything that has happened over generations so far, especially the rumble. The plot that was set in motion generations ago, which lead to rumbling at this point, cannot be stopped by some 'epiphany'. Completely ridiculous to think that it could happen globally.
This is why we were against the Paradis traitors within the alliance. What exactly did they accomplish? To have a sword hanging over the heads of everyone in the island perpetually? They might have doomed the very existence of their future generations
Yea, titan powers maybe done (I REALLY hope there is some proper explanation for this). But the rest of the world knows which people was responsible for rumble, who had the ability to turn into titans etc. There will always be suspicion whether they would turn back to titans again. And so on.
The natural culmination is either the extinction of Paradis people, or everyone else. In the setting Issayama gave us. Maybe a more pleasant culmination could've been plausible, if the rest of the world were split near evenly in their plans for Paradis.
But, the UN of their world pretty much declared war on Paradis with the intention of genocide. And, I believe it was mentioned that the rest of the world treated Eldians worse than Marleyans did as well. In this setting, I see no other way.
Also, if Eren = Lelouch 2.0 is true. SIIGHH. WHY
I didn't think the ending was bad either after a second reading, but I do believe it could have been much more for a story of this magnitude. The story's conclusion does make sense and I never expected the whole world to be eliminated (though a good chunk of it did, so in a way the status quo was maintained), but like I stated before I was hoping for a bigger payoff to some of the main plot points. Perhaps Isayama should have spent less time with the pregnancy part as I don't see what it contributed to the story, and more with the other characters, especially so Eren's love for Mikasa would have felt more believable, but that's just me. A fine ending overall and it doesn't bring down the quality of the series, but I was expecting it to pack a bigger emotional punch.Am I the only one that feels the ending is alright and that everyone is overreacting. Like honestly I feel bad for people who had there whole experience ruined over this. Then again I have heard people complaining a lot before this ending becaue “bEsT bOi eREn dEaD kILl gAbI” and the only thing I see people angry over is eren not getting the world thrown at him and “mUh mAsSacRE” and the fact that everything isn’t 100% peaceful. Honestly this is a realistic ending and goes well with the plot. Again I am not saying it is perfect, far from it. And honestly it is far from ideal as I would’ve rather the time loop and requiem ending.
But it isn’t GOT or bleach level. The ending makes perfect sense, just it isn’t ideal. And yes I get it, AOT isn’t your average shonen so ofc an average ending would put a more bitter taste in your mouth then say a NNT or Kimetsu no Yaiba. But even then the ending could have been a whole lot worse. But hey these are just my thoughts, this series is still a masterpiece imo and will always a special place in my heart.
