↑If it really were about Reiner (new series begins in October, right?) then I think we'll finally get to see where RBY are heading to in the main story............ Since the side story has to at least go in parallel with the main story in terms of revealed plot line, right?

The new series begins on August 26 in the October issue of Monthly Sirius Magazine. I assume we're getting it around this late August(and possibly early September), not October XDD.

If this is really true, then I guess they do have to go parallel. Unless, Isayama actually is the one who's writing the story and insists that we go buy this manga...O_O. Which I highly doubt and I hope that this is not going to happen.

I wonder if the scouting legion has ever thought of giving weapons to eren which he could use in his titan form. Eren with his titan powers can already probably take 100 consecutive titans and come out victorious but if they manage to give him actual weapons which he could use his effectiveness would increase exponentially. I guess the technology does not exist for that in SNK world and perhaps even real life though.

I'm not sure that would accomplish much. He still would have to aim for the nape. Defeating titan shifters would not be easier, they could just as easily protect their nape. Eren easily ripped apart normal titans during the Defense of Trost, before he had any control over his titan form.

Besides that, I'm not a physics expert but if I heard it correctly, wouldn't the size of the weapon fitting for ErenTitan would be a lot heavier? It was already quite hard for Eren to carry that boulder, let alone a large weapon....

Anyway, anyone read the summary of the pilot chapter by Utsune?
I just reread the chapters corresponding to episode 19. Hange said that even though the skinless hand of Eren's Titan form was very hot, it didn't manage to warp the spoon it was holding...Is it a sign of the "Human Extermination Plan"? It seems like that is what the anime is leading us to believe. During the episode when Eren protected Armin and Mikasa from that cannonball by transforming into a titan, Armin noticed a flower, which seemingly was unharmed. I thought it was for symbolic purposes for the anime but...with that pilot chapter.....

(The spoon thing was also in the manga, just that, the anime is much more concerned with this by adding that flower stuff, which wasn't in the manga.)

He would still have to aim for the nape but I would argue there would be a few advantages for him in having something like a sword to help him out. He would be able to aim for the nape far more easily and from a safer distance.... Even if he does not hit the nape the titan will still be relatively incapacitated while it regenerates which is still a huge advantage. With something like a sword he would have a far easier time getting the nape, he could hit it even through titans from the front. Eren also still has that little weakness where the strengths of his punches exceeds what his body is able to handle (which is why he loses a hand every time he punches something) which is something that could be solved with a proper weapon. Titan shifters will invariably be more complicated however I don't see how a fist fight would be preferable provided the weapon in question actually works as expected.

The rock was actually even larger than eren if I recall.

I would argue he'd be able to handle a weapon with normal proportions quite easily. Heck, he should be able to handle weapons with unnaturally large proportions easily.... The issue is finding the materials that could actually handle the pressure necessary for them to be useful. I don't think they exist.

Anyway, a sword could be forged from titan crystal, perhaps?

Yeah, that was an Allegory.The boulder on Erens shoulders is the hope of humanity and the world as they know it in direct reference to Atlas carrying the World.In a sense, the entire world rests on Erens shoulders.

The title for the upcoming Shingeki no Kyojin spin-off is called, Shingeki no Kyojin Before the Fall. It looks like the comicalization of its novel; that means, Isayama will not going to make story for the spin-off.

Still sticking with Hange unless Kodansha USA changes it in the upcoming volumes....T^T. At least we're pretty sure the name spellings are Yeager, and Levi(Well these two were confirmed in SnK's twitter account too....excluding Hange....sooooo.....).
