Sequel series had Vader.

Also the Prequels released after the original trilogy surely.

The books are fantastic. You get a much more fleshed out experience than canon could ever offer. Legends was good too. The Clone Wars even xD. Until Rebels that is.
My bad.I intended to say the Original series.Ep Iv-vi.

Am I the only one around here who is more hyped for Thrawn: Alliances than Last Jedi? Anyone? Eh? Anyone?

The opening episodes of Rebels Season 4 was good. Not as dark as I was expecting but it was a fun ride.

My biggest complaint is the inconsistency with weapons and vehicles and the continued pathetic performance of Stormtroopers. In the comics and novels, they're presented as a truly deadly force. But in this series... Eh...? How can two trained people not hit a target coming literally straight at them?

In the name of the Rebellion. Hmmm... I thought it was a good couple of episodes overall with some splendid voice acting and chemistry between characters. And I found two of the Stormtrooper screams and Chopper's moments towards the end to be quite hilarious. I do have a couple issues with the episode though.

The first is Brom's Arquitens being useless. Saw's U-wing taking down the deflectors of an Arquitens with a quick burst of its laser cannons? That was inconsistent and just ridiculous given that those shields can take a burst from the turbolasers of a Recusant-class light destroyer before going down as we see in TCW. And in the Thrawn novel, we see that the Arquitens has way tougher armour and shielding than something like a Raider-class corvette and can take a sustained barrage from dozens of Vulture droids before going down. I'm sure someone like Spacedock, who like me is really into the vehicles and weaponry of the fictional work, is also confused as hell over this.

The second is the Death Troopers. I can understand Ezra overpowering them as he's a Jedi but they should have fared better against Saw and Sabine and they should have had no problem in that smoke screen if their helmets do indeed have advanced sensors. But it seems they don't. These guys didn't live up to the hype in Rogue One and they're no better in Rebels.

@Arjuna
You watched it yet?

If they make luke evil i am quitting star wars. Its bad enough that he failed spectacularly at reviving the order but making him evil is too much.
He's not going to be made evil, he's just going to be shown as having quit the Order. Which makes sense for his character, to be honest.

I wonder how you'd react if Rey was somehow connected to Palpatine.

Rey - The Last Jedi and The Last Senate
Well it won't happen, it would not connect with what we know (such as how both her parents made the trip to drop her off, whereas Palpatine was mcmurdered by Anakin at the end of (the last) Star Wars). If somehow it did....I don't know. If they wrote it well I guess I wouldn't care. :)

Well, Adam Driver probably just spoiled a pretty big part of the next movie.

I really hope what he was referencing to was about Leia as a princess or a new character.

I don't know. It could be very surprising depending on which "royalty" she related to. I'm still on the boat that if she's not a Luke kid, she is Kylo's sister.

So... New Star Wars trilogy and live action series announced.

https://starwarstheory.com/2017/11/10/new-star-wars-movies-announced-today/

Haven't seen the video myself as I'm at work.

I'm excited for a new trilogy of films but not so for a live action series. I honestly think it'd have been cheaper and wiser to go with another animated series which is more mature and darker than Rebels.

We don't even know what the Disney streaming service is called and when it will be ready. So never mind knowing about an India release.

Yo, have any of you guys seen the Last Jedi and if so what did you think?

I'm divided on it tbh, probably need to watch it again.

I think this sentence best sums up my thoughts:
I enjoyed the film but was disappointed by quite a few things and still don't know how to feel.

I'm going again tomorrow or day after with a cousin who is begging me to take him and my sister. May be a second viewing will help.

The movie is indeed enjoyable. It definitely is worth a watch. But it doesn't "blow Force Awakens out of the water" and it most definitely doesn't outdo Empire Strikes Back.
Did they follow the original trilogy like the first one.

Hope you enjoy the second viewing, and I completely agree with you, the film was enjoyable but there are were as many bad moments as there were good moments to me.

Without spoiling too much, I think there were definitely moments in there that were from ESB but it was nowhere near as bad as TFA for it. And tbf, some of those moments are more like 'parallels' to ESB rather than direct copies.
