I know you generally don't post in the forums however you did usually responded to what people wrote in your thread every couple of days... Anyways, congratulations on landing that job, seems like it will be a very interesting experience.

Sorry to bother Cnet i was just wondering if u could give me something like in a game that stands for Health Points (HP) but in Japanese, kind of making a game but i want the names to be unique and stuff, not gonna bore u with details, :P if u can help me with this it would work wonders for me

Hello, mr Cnet. I have a question, I hope it's not too much of an imposition.
You see, on the last page of One Piece Chapter 579 (A Few Seconds of Courage), Shanks says "I'm here to put an end to this war!!!". In a debate I'm in, my opponent is arguing that this is an ambiguous term, and that it could be interpreted as "I've come to destroy the Marines". I'm wondering, is that there in the Japanese version? Or was it created through translation?

You are a good man! Perfectionism is good! Congrats on getting a job in translation!
I'm making some efforts to head that direction as well, but unfortunately I won't make it in manga either way because of an extremely small and not even growing market here, so I'm not yet sure what my options are besides technical translation of manuals etc >_< If you have a blog or anything, I'd read it xD

Hey,

I'm part of a group that is currently working on Editing all of the digital coloured comics for One Piece (You can see more about the project here: http://www.arlongpark.net/showthread.php?t=39624). We're going through all the previously scanlated volumes and fixing up mistakes/mistranslations so that there is consistent quality among all of the coloured volumes. Unfortunately, we've run into a block of volumes in the middle (specifically 30-39) that have never had good translations for them. I was wondering if you would consider providing accurate translations for these volumes? I realize you might be too busy to translate 10 volumes so even one volume would be a big help for us. We can provide the raws too.
