It's not good, honestly. (just hilarious)How's the game, Jammin? I've been considering it a bit.
At a different note I bought Surgeon Simulator on Steam a couple days ago to fool around with, so hilarious! ROFLMAO.
It seems like it could be a great game a few patches and expansions down the road but for right now I'd advise you not to buy it. The voice acting(which is an ever present part of the game) is really poor, the frame rate is atrocious due to the complete lack of optimization, and there are just a large number of things about it that feel unfinished.
The game is designed around two big changes, neither of which has turned out great as far as I can tell.
You only can fly one ship, which you cannot swap out for another.
You can buy and have NPC's run all kinds of stuff but your home ship is a fixed thing, and it's very small (feels like one of the Firefly shuttles). And as far as I'm aware you cannot customize or expand it. You can upgrade weapons, shields, etc but that's it.
This is probably the most serious problem with the game and I expect it will be fixed one day through modding, if not something more official, but right now your stuck piloting a tiny cramped little thing.
The universe now runs on space highways.
The sad consequence of this seems to be that you navigate space much the same way you'd navigate the trip from Baltimore to DC on labor day weekend. It's got that frustrating bumper to traffic feel. It even has this weird mini-game where there are 12 lanes arranged in a box and you slip into the lane behind something faster in order to speed up. It comes across to me as very confining and nowhere near as smooth as the jump travel in something like freelancer.

Once those parts of the game are fixed and the game is optimized, it'll be worth a purchase but until then I'd hold off.
And I totally want to play Surgery Simulator!
