There was too much hype towards the game and unrealistic expectations. Ubisoft is partly responsible for this.
But still, saying that it's just an inferior version of GTA with hacking is harsh.

Positive:
+ Graphically, it's good. Not awesome but it feels like a game on PS4 and not a former generation game.
+ Hacking. It's not just a gadget, the complete gameplay is around it.
+ Story seems interesting
+ I'm more absorbed by the game than the recent gta 5. At least, it feels refreshing.
+ Driving is pretty good in my opinion
+ Great in-game atmosphere.

Negative:
- The hype ... and that's it. That's the only real default of this game. For the rest, it's a really decent game.

I guess Ill pick it up eventually, sounds like what I expected for a first entry in a new franchise from Ubisoft. After Assassins Creed 1 of last gen when it first came out, I knew not to expect the next best thing since sliced bread.

It's an OK-ish game for me. Not worth US$60, but probably you should get it once it drops to US$40 or something. 7/10.

I would think anything around 7 is fine as "ok/decent". Anything closer to 5 is actually the definition of mediocrity

But once you get below said mediocrity, it's kind of hard to actually measure anything out. That's why I kind of prefer a 5 point system, or maybe letter grades. Kind of nitpicky, but whatever.

The most well-known french website about video games is giving "/20" scores (http://www.jeuxvideo.com).
Grades at school in Belgium are often "/20" as well.

It isn't fancy in my culture. It's pretty much the norm.

The problem with Watch Dogs is the same problem GTA has...there's too much distractions from playing the actual game and following the story. There's so much fun just going around doing a lot of crap that has nothing to do with the story of the game.

I'll still check out the game, but I'm pretty sure I'll get bored within the first 2 hours.

E3 is only a week away, and I can't contain my excitement.
My only wish is I were to be there at the Expo to gawk at all the games they'll show, and the always embarrassing conference that Microsoft does every year. I would hate them more for it, but they're so unintentionally hilarious at it. Keep it up Microsoft.

So many games announced on today, Mortal Kombat X, Forza Horizon (X360 + One), and Homefront: The Revolution (Xbox One, PS4, PC). I hope we get true surprises next week.

Meh okay, I already gave my opinion on Watch_Dogs, but now since I've finished it I guess now I'm able to post my complete thoughts on it.

Spoiler: Watch Doges open at your own risk, bb.

I'd say it is underwhelming, considering how huge the hype surrounding it was. Aiden's character is too robotic for my personal taste, though I suspect that's because Ubisoft wanted him to be portrayed as a lone wolf or something like that. The game is getting kinda too repetitive at some point, although arguably InFamous Second Son also guilty about this as well. I really like the hacking n' stuff like those, but in all honesty I wish there are more dynamics to it rather than keep repeating the same mechanics over and over again.

Okay.. the good thing is I like about some of the characters, Jordi and Clara were very likeable, although I am really sad with Ubisoft's decision to kill Clara for no reason apart from trying to be overly dramatic. The story is somewhat so-so, and I'd argue that GTA V had better storyline compared to Watch_Dogs.

All in all, I guess my disappointment is caused by the hype for it and it turns out Watch_Dogs is only a decent looking game, and I wouldn't call it as the best game of the year. But on a positive note, this game has a lot of potential to be better, and I could see that the future of this franchise (hopefully) is getting brighter, just like Assassin Creed.

Watch Dogs was simply not good, those designs were so pseudo cool, so much failed to be good. Clearly a result of [too] many teams that weren't able to create something whole.

Picked up a vita this week. Wanted to get one of the older OLED ones, before they all get replaced with the slim LCD models.

I got it mainly for RPG playing purposes, and so that I can play all those games PSPlus has been giving me over the years, but I'm a little surprised by how nice a handheld it is. It may not have been much of a commercial success but in terms of design... it's still kind of awesome. Anybody else around here own one of these?
