Hangout The Games Hangout Thread

Picked up a vita this week. Wanted to get one of the older OLED ones, before they all get replaced with the slim LCD models.

I got it mainly for RPG playing purposes, and so that I can play all those games PSPlus has been giving me over the years, but I'm a little surprised by how nice a handheld it is. It may not have been much of a commercial success but in terms of design... it's still kind of awesome. Anybody else around here own one of these?

Yeah, I did. I had actually played the original ps2 version Persona 4 but I can already tell golden is a massive upgrade on what was already a great game.

Oddly enough, IMO it looks better in terms of visuals that Golden Abyss or Gravity Rush. The Vita's really vivid colors work great with Persona's extremely colorful art style.

Microsoft went in hard this year, while Sony...eh...was pretty disappointing for me. Kinda wish I waited on my PS4 now as the XBone actually revealed stuff I'm interested in, plus with their recent price drop and Kinectless rerelease, it's looking a lot more appealing. I got Shipnotized by Infamous though and couldn't wait. Speaking of which, I'm not that psyched about Fetch's Quest (Hyuck, hyuck). I like the character, but I kinda wanted to go to Curdun Cay with Delsin...

Electronic Arts had my favorite event, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Criterion, Dragon Age, and new Bioware IP hyped me and excited me, Sony overall for that Uncharted 3, The Order 1886, and LBP3.
