Though I cant really get many games not on my list since FF Type 0 HD is sucking so many of my monies.

Started playing QTE Raider Definitive Edition. Its pretty fun starting out. I always loved QTEs as it makes for a really cinematic and immersive experience.

The developers sound people really focused on the bass though, even on my normal sound levels explosions and stuff make my table rattle and everything lol. Hope I dont get a noise complaint.

Well I got around to playing Life is Strange yesterday, and it was pretty enjoyable. I like the feel of everything in the game, from the art style to the soundtrack. The voice acting can be a little sub-par at some points but for the most part it's great.

I've been playing Sunless Sea.

It's really great. Probably my favorite Roguelike. It's just has so many neat elements built into it. Not only does it have the survival and ship command parts down but the way it makes the "stories" a form of currency does a great job making you want to explore. It's also just such a uniquely creepy atmosphere.

Was playing the Battlefield Hardline Beta this week. Its pretty fun especially Heist mode. Will definitely hope to get it when it launches. Ill be juggling Final Fantasy Type 0 and it at the same time which should be doable. I imagine Type 0 wont have much replay value (that is, I doubt it will have interesting quests post game or such like FF 13 failed to have).

Will go back to Tomb Raider tonight.

Its actually a pretty great game. I love the storytelling of it and I guess I love england during this time.

Termite is the best weapon thus far.

I'm pretty pleased with some of games I just picked up on the PSN Vita sale.

Vallhalla Knights 3 for $6
Earth Defense Force for $12

Both are what I'd call good bad games. Vallhalla Knights 3 is a 48 on metacritic. And Earth Defense Force is a 68. I wouldn't even argue with those scores. But I'm enjoying both immensely. Vallhalla Knights has issues but if your willing to overlook them the combat system and rpg mechanics are pretty deep and satisfying. Earth Defense Force is a B movie turned into a video game in all the best ways.

Finished The Order 18886. I loved it. It was a great experience in sound and drama. Really good storytelling, well written characters that one could easily find favorites with, and just a compelling story. Only flaw is as usual a failure to deliver a good ending (I guess sequel incoming). In terms of music and audio loved all the cast and the various audio recordings that were able to be found. Really worked well to set the tone and mod of the game. These ranged from random manifest recordings, literary works, speeches, and songs.

Gameplay was a mixed bag personally. I loved the gunfights and various weapons that rewarded you for switching up from the default (and the touch of science fiction gadgetry with them made it wonderful), but the game became too closed room nature of sorts in which you can only proceeded after endless waves of enemies have been eradicated. It would get annoying as it seems they always made them last two waves too long. Also some of their spawn points was nonsensical, meaning if you get in a bad position more enemies could rush out the closed corridor behind you. Though I liked how they were enemies that were fast footed and would prevent you from hunkering down in one spot, especially when they could throw and detonate grenades.

Stealth parts were decent but sometimes too long as well. I also thought they were unforgiving. Mess up close to the end and start all over is painful.

Good PS4 game for sound and drama, decent gameplay that could be improved.

I bought the order 1886 and I just played 1h30 so far. I bought it out of curiosity and boredom. Curiosity because I wanted to see what the ps4 could deliver graphically. Reflections are especially impressive. Boredom because I know before buying it that I wouldn't buy this kind of games if it wasn't the start of a new console era. Each time there is new generation of consoles, the gaming year is poor. 2014 wasn't an exception and the order 1886 is the kind of games you get on a new generation of consoles: Graphically impressive, very short and "one-path"/no exploration. For the ps3 era, we had the first uncharted or Heavenly sword for example.

I'm still waiting for the first great exclusivity on ps4. Infamous was the closest thing to it and I bought the console with it.

If anyone is looking to upgrade PC and wants to play witcher 3 at some point, Geforce has a great offer IMO...but a 900 series card and get witcher 3 for free...from what I've read, it's a GOG code too, so no DRM...

My FF Type 0 HD CE was cancelled because they never told me my payment method has issues so now I either pay more than it cost on Square Enix store on gamestop or just get the regular version.

I ended up getting the regular version (because I also have to get Persona 3 Movie 2 BD this month and thats 100$). I also preordered the type 0 guide and Battlefield Hardline. Hopefully both will keep my busy until late april when the next games I aim to get come out.
