If that's all true that has to be illegal. I mean, in united states that would violate all kinds of labor laws. Does Japan not have those?

I'm not really sure how the Japanese legal system works but in the united states their employees would be able to file a class action lawsuit and sue the living hell out of them.

Particularly the parts that read...

- "Employees that leave the office during lunch beak are monitored with time cards. Those who return late have their names announced throughout the company"

- "Konami developers who aren’t seen as useful are reassigned duties such as security guards, cleaning staff at fitnes clubs, or roles at pachi-slot machine factories. This includes producers who worked on big titles. Those all seem like clear instances of harassment by US standards.

Yeah I heard about that when those rumors started surfacing. The way they're treating Kojima's team, it's just so unfair. They also removed Kojima's name from anything that promotes MGSV, as well as forbidd all interviewers from asking questions about him, as you can see here.

Well Kojima aside, this is really far into harrassment territory, I remember some article saying that they were forcing people to quit. Cutting internet and deliberatly creating a stressful environment is most likely to get people to quit. Dunno what the Japanese law is exactly, but compared to the US, Japan and Asia can be less strict when it comes to harrassment.

Game Informer reports that Bungie will replace all Peter Dinklage's dialogue as Ghost in Destiny with lines rerecorded and performed by Nolan North.

I've never even heard of anything like that before but I think it's cool that Bungie basically accepted that Dinklages performance wasn't good enough and are fixing it.

Just finished playing Until Dawn.

I'm kinda shocked at how good it was. It's probably not a game for everybody. But as someone who likes slasher movies and loves monster movies it was a game that hit all the right notes for me. It's only mildly scary, Outlast for example is way scarier. This just has a lot a jump scares in the first half and more high tension stuff toward the end. But it nails feeling like a B+ horror movie in game form.

I'm kinda shocked at how good it was. It's probably not a game for everybody. But as someone who likes slasher movies and loves monster movies it was a game that hit all the right notes for me. It's only mildly scary, Outlast for example is way scarier. This just has a lot a jump scares in the first half and more high tension stuff toward the end. But it nails feeling like a B+ horror movie in game form.

Exactly what I was thinking as when I was playing.. I don't think it's a "great" game, but it's surprisingly entertaining enough to kept me going. Perhaps my expectation level was low, but I had a lot of fun playing it. I think Telltale and Bioware could learn a thing or two from Until Dawn, design-wise.

It certainly embraces the idea that it's more of an interactive movie more successfully than anything else that comes to mind. And comes away feeling like not only a movie out of it's genre but a really good movie from that genre. Which is not real common for slasher/monster movies these days. Cabin In The Woods is probably the best recent movie of that type. And it's been like 3 years since that came out.

It probably also helped that the actors all did a great job. There was no Peter Dinklage in this game.

I only saved Max, Chris and Jess in my first run. (Don't do QTEs when you're drunk, kids!)
The only thing that really bothered me about the game was that the walking parts were way too linear.
The Quantum Dreams-titles did a better job in creating an interesting environment for their scenes.
But in all it was a very neat experience with a lot of cool references to Slasher-, Creature-, and other Horror-Classics.

If you are not going to build a good PC to play MGS, I think just go for it. Current gen titles are going to be awesome in the upcoming years, I think.

There are going to be more exclusive titles for PS4...

yeah it's up to you really, but I don't think getting PS4 is as bad as many people imagine, I'm guessing there'd be more great titles for PS4 considering that Sony has been securing exclusive deals here and there for various games.
