Its not mocking! Look, I absolutely love kids, I've offered myself to babysit many of them, but taking care is very very hard. Its nothing like pets or the sorts, it will require your attention constantly, specially in the first year.
So you will need all the patience, all the time and all the help at your disposal. Having a child is sure to be a beautiful experience (one of the things a definitely want in life *-* once I settle down huh) but it wont be a path of roses, the nice kids that sleep the whole day and throw little tantrums occasionally are a rarity.

Or maybe you have the so called "bait baby", now that would be ideal.
